    Small but really FUN SAXOPHONE!This was a hit gift for my karaoke friend HOST. He is so fun, and "plays" this just great--he thinks it's funny that it is also a kazoo! Sometimes I sing Jazz Man--the Carol King song, and he gets to do the SAX solos--and really has fun playing this funny small SAX!I was sort of disappointed with the SIZE of this --otherwise it has great details--and my Karaoke friend used to play a plastic "blow up" SAX---it was always deflated--and finally he had to throw that one away---I think this one is way better than that one was! 4Looks great, only worked for 2 seconds as a kazoo, but is fixable.Looks great though it's not full-scale. Took it out of the package and the kazoo membrane part vibrated weakly for 2 seconds, then stopped altogether. So that's a fail. However... the membrane holder part that's the heart of the kazoo action *can* be carefully removed and modified by swapping in the heart of another kazoo, to get it really working.To repair:Twist the black round part and it pops out to reveal a really poor quality paper disc. You need to replace that with a mylar plastic one from another cheap plastic kazoo. When I made the fix, the tightness of the black round piece pushed back into the hole made a difference as well. The resonant cavity of the sax shape favors low notes in the baritone sax range. And don't blow too hard as you hum, then the sax-like quality of the sound will surprise you. Not as loud as a Wazoo... but a deeper sound. 3Replace paper with wax paper!I took out this dime sized piece of paper and replaced it with a piece of waxed paper, and now it works like a kazoo should work :) It s so big and really pretty actually! I m going to have fun with this. 4Looks nice. Bad kazoo unless you make (cheap) mods.Bought this as part of an Eddie costume for a Rocky Horror performance and Halloween. It looks really nice, and I actually appreciate how compact it is, so I don't have to lug something obtrusive everywhere. However, it's a terrible kazoo. It comes with a crappy piece of brown paper as the vibrating membrane. Mine didn't work at all. I cut a replacement membrane out of wax paper and it works much better. 3Terrible product ... the most important part, KAZOO SOUND, is missing ....I wanted to use this onstage as a goof for a "Sax" solo, and it looks great for such a comedic role, except that it's lacking the most important element: a KAZOO SOUND !!!The 'Kazoo' diaphragm is some sort of brown paper-bag type material and it just doesn't resonate whatsoever. Easily replaceable with wax-paper or tissue paper or some such, but why should I have to do that ??The most important part of a Kazoo is for it to SOUND LIKE A KAZOO ... and this product fails miserably ... all the manufacturer needed to do is install a 'real' Kazoo diaphragm and this would be a five-star winner instead of a one-star failure. Ironically, the least costly component is the one that was cheaped out on ... what were they thinking ??? 1Nope, didn't work out of the box.I bought this in spite of the bad reviews, and sure enough it did not work. I did what a previous reviewer did, removed the mouthpiece, drilled out the opening and hot-glued a real, metal kazoo in it's place. You'll need a few tools to do this. You can try to replace the paper membrane, but it might be tricky. Good luck!! 1Not a kazoo!This is not a kazoo since the diaphram, which gives a kazoo it's signature buzzing sound, is inadequate. Consequently, it is really a "hummer." I purchased two and they were both deficient. To fix the problem, we removed the black mouthpiece and gently inserted a real kazoo in its place. Nowit works fine. 1Perfect decorative piece!This was the perfect decorative topper for a special music lovers bday cake! I m so happy I ordered it!It s about 10 long and very lightweight. Looks like the real thing in miniature and was beautiful on the cake. 5Holy Smokes!I don't know why this item exists, but I am glad it does. I am mounting a vape pen inside and also installing a little digital recorder with classy sax solo sound clips. When I am finished I can't wait to watch my boss peel off sax riffs as he feeds his addiction. I bought two just in case the first prototype goes down in flames because my boss buys his vape equipment at the mall kiosk. 5Radio staticIt doesn t make a sound at all... well it sounds like radio static. I at least expected kazoo like noise. It was a good gag gift. 1
