Great for a 3 year old boyMy 3 year old son loves this kit. Just watch your knees, as the mallet actually has some weight to it. 5Battery operated stethoscope does not workI would not recommend this doctor kit. The one feature that was supposed to set it apart from others is the heart beat of the stethoscope. The stethoscope did not work. I contacted customer support and their only suggestion was to replace the batteries. I should not have to replace batteries in a new toy. I did try that but the toy still did not work. I was totally disappointed in this item. 1Cute medical kit for toddlers.My three year old loves this kit! We received it early this afternoon and she hasn't put it down. As a nurse, I think I unintentionally instilled in her an interest in the human body and the medical field. She was so excited to get this along with another kid's anatomy/physiology book.Everything seems very well-made with quality materials. Nothing feels cheap.The stethoscope is very cool: you can actually hear the heartbeat through the ear pieces. It is made very similar to a real one, but I like that she won't hurt her ears with this one. The beeper also works, but requires batteries that aren't included (we will pick some up tomorrow). The BP cuff doesn't inflate, but the gauge does work when the ball is squeezed. My only issue is that the plunger doesn't fit well in the syringe so it's difficult to use; it tends to fall right out unless it's pushed all the way down. I may try to either rig it with a spring system or find a bigger plunger.I'm not sure if this kit is really worth $30, but it's really cute and sturdy with tons of features. 4Love it!Love this doctor kit! Perfect for my 4 year old daughter who's got some anxiety about going to the doctor. Since buying this, she's spent hours playing doctor and wasn't nearly as nervous for our last appointment! And the colors are lovely. That bit may be irrelevant to the kids, but I get so tired of the standard primary colors, etc... These are actually nice to look at!
