Long enough to get over all head sizes and the quality was exceptional. Even with taking on and off various people, no one ever had them fall apart. They were used for a shower game and lasted throughout the whole event, until the final prize was given. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for some quality Mardi Gras Beads and it was an great value for the quality and quantity. 5Great for party game, was shorted 3 necklacesI used these for a shower game, and they we popular. No problems with paint chipping or color coming off on people's hands or clothes. The necklaces are wrapped in bundles of 12, but thee of my bundles only had 11. Not a big deal for me, but if you need 72, count your bundles to be sure you have enough. 5Great, throwable Mardi Gras beads!After reading reviews, I was a little concerned about getting a bunch of beads in a tangled mess, but the price was good, so I went ahead. Mine arrived in order, w/ paper bands around groups of them to keep them separate. It was very simple to place them over your arm, then remove the paper bands to toss them out. They had enough weight to throw well, too. As some complained, there is a spot of glue that shows where they are connected, but I did not consider this a big deal; just put it in the back.
