Customer Reviews

a "no brainer" for the zombie fanOur 6-year-old son sat on Santa's lap at the local mall and when asked what he wanted for Christmas replied "zombies". It made for a shorter-than-usual visit with Santa, but luckily Santa was able to find this play set on Amazon. They were his favorite Xmas gift and he still regularly takes them with him to play (not sure what our friends think, but he enjoys himself...).They are very durable and the attention to gory detail is a hoot. He also likes that they glow in the dark, so they are no doubt one of the last things he sees as he drifts off to sleep when he takes them to bed with him. Because of the blood and gore (including a zombie dog carrying a human hand in its mouth) they probably technically aren't age-appropriate for a 6-year-old, but he hasn't seemed to suffer any ill effects so far. 5Cheap cheap cheapI bought these for my 8 year old son since he loves zombies. They arrived and the packaging was already open. It looked like a toy that has been around the block a few times. The zombies themselves are just cheap looking - the paint/detail is terrible. This is a dollar store quality kind of item, only I paid a lot more than a buck. I'm honestly shocked at the people who said they put them on a cake - surely there are better quality figurines out there.Anyway, I gave it two stars because I am (reluctantly) going to keep them. There aren't a lot of zombie figures out there that are something I'd want to give my 8 year old. But buyer beware. 2A Good Find Among Limited OptionsOur son was happy with these. A reasonable size to do battle with GI Joe sized action figures. Kind of a cool find among a very surprisingly limited niche...most other sets are like the super-cheap army men or the super-expensive, collectors' figures. Nice paint jobs and a solid in-between for the price. 4opened package upon deliverythe toys were fine-as described, none missing. but the packaging came opened-looked like the glue that kept the plastic part connected to the cardboard backing was old or ineffective. I used tape... 1Great Cake Toppers! These creepy guys make the perfect cake toppers. They're bigger and made of stronger material than I expected, which was great. (I was expecting "army guy" sized toys, and these are slightly bigger than that.) They're durable and they glow in the dark. What more could you ask for? :)Edit: They worked absolutely perfectly for my zombie cake. I used red gel food color to add extra "blood" to them, and it worked perfectly. 5Detailing not that great but still did the trickI bought these to make a cake for a zombie themed birthday party. The detailing on the zombies is not that great. The paint job on the eyes and faces looked like my 1 year old got to it with a marker. They are also supposed to be glow in the dark but I have yet to see them do that. Maybe I should go set them in the sun. Not going to lie, the box may have told me to do that but I didn't read the box. But all in all, the set still did the trick and made for a great cake, especially when used with the B-movie victims set. Nothing a little red food gel couldn't help. I would still recommend the set to anyone needing some zombies to terrorize their cake. 3Zombie Cake My son loved his cake! These were the perfect size! Exactly what o was looking for and great toys to play with after! Kids love them! I looked at several zombie figures. Most of them where too detailed and kinda scary for an 8 yr old! These were perfect! Very happy 5GLOW IN THE DARK FLESH EATING ZOMBIES by ACCOUTREMENTS - 9 FIGURES INCLUDING ONE ZOMBIE DOG!Something that no one should even consider living without, here is a 9 figure set of 'Glow in the Dark Flesh Eating Zombies'. Produced in 2007 by Accoutrements, Inc, they are still, as of April, 2015, available from various sources. Unlike the 'You're The Star' and 'Horrified Movie Victim' playsets, these are the original figure amount and packaging. However, this could change over time. The figures range up to 3" in height and would be perfect for a scene or diorama in which these Zombies would be chasing the 'Horrified Movie Victims' while being photographed by the 'You're the Star' paparazzi figures. Just an idea. Also see my separate reviews of the last 2 items. 5Going backUpon opening the shipping box I discovered the contents were completely trashed. The shipping box was too small causing the contents to open up and spill all over. The toy is nice, but I cannot gift it in its condition. It is going back. 1... mother-in-law complain to me and her son about how horrible of an idea it was to put zombies on ...After listening to my mother-in-law complain to me and her son about how horrible of an idea it was to put zombies on a wedding cake, we decided that it must be done. We then set out to make a zombie wedding cake. Our baker had his assistant make zombies out of clay, but they came out absolutely horrendous. I know zombies are generally pretty messed up in the first place, but these were just terrible. After searching for a while, we came upon these glorious little things and they were just perfect for making our wedding cake awesome.Everyone ended up loving the cake, despite the mother-in-law throwing a fit. :) 5
