Customer Reviews

Works well with Spray PaintI don't usually write reviews but I noticed that no one seemed to be pointing out what medium types these cards can handle besides markers, and they take spray paint really well! Spray paint tends to stick to itself a little so make sure to really let them dry before stacking them, but overall they work really well! (the messy design in the image above is because my stencils weren't the best, but the cards lie entirely flat. The backs are sprayed entirely black). 5Good cardsThese cards are actually very well made. When I ordered, this product didn't have any reviews yet, but I decided to take a gamble. They look and feel just like normal playing cards, and it's very easy to write on them with sharpie. They are a little stiffer than normal cards, but still quite easy to shuffle. Would recommend. 5Satisfied CustomerI like these cards, although they were much smaller than I anticipated (I imagined a deck of playing cards, but these are smaller than I am used to). I used them for an art project with oil pastels. Some reviews mention these cards are not a completely matte finish, and that is true -- there is a bit of coating on them. I found that if I first brushed them with Mod Podge or Gesso, they took the oil pastels beautifully-- no smearing, I could layer several colors and the work remained intact. The paper was sufficiently good quality cardstock that I didn't have a problem withbuckling. If you try this technique, remember to keep the coats of gesso or Mod Podge light. A little goes a long way.I would buy these again, but I might look for a bigger version. 4Great product for card game prototypingAs with other reviewers, I'm using these for a card game prototype. At first I was going to write upon them, but then found a much better solution: I printed my content upon Avery name badge labels, 25395. The badges are 2 1/3" x 3 3/8" and fit perfectly upon these cards. The cards still can be shuffled and the ink does not easily scuff (at least I've not yet had problems with scuffing). I was very happy to have found these cards. 5Great for board gamesI ordered these cards for a print and play board game. When I was doing research my two key concerns were shuffling and being able to mark them with sharpies.I've played one game so far with these cards and am happy with the shuffling as they seem sturdy and am happy with their surface as my sharpie written numbers and letters came out crispy with no smudging. 5Excellent for every purpose except possibly teaching old dogs new tricks (and even that might work)A++++++ These things are great! I've been developing a card game, and these are perfect for sketching out cards. The large amount per very inexpensive pack means that I can discards lots of horrible drawings and still have over a hundred usable cards! The cards themselves are only slightly thinner than USPCC cards -- meaning you can play-test your game (or shuffle your flashcards from everything from French to physics)(or French physicists) with ease.Speedy delivery (I'm on my second 200-card package)(see "many horrible drawings" comment, above), and look forward to many more! I might have to take a French physics class just to have an excuse to buy more cards. Thanks, Apostrophe! You guys rock! 5Cards are very slick and shuffle just like playing cardsCards are very slick and shuffle just like playing cards... used several media to mark cards : only standard sharpie markers mark them first time with no smudging - other permanent markers, including fine sharpies, bead up on the slick surface and require time to dry or they will smudge.Perfect for what I needed them for, four packs of 50 each. 5Quality paper and surface! If you are looking to create your own game or art these are great quality cards. Ink will run so use fabric pens or sharpies to write on the cards. 5Good economical pack of blank cardsThe pack that I got had four bundles of 50 cards - cellophane wrapped. The paper cards are that same size and weight of a inexpensive pack of poker cards that I have (the only difference is the playing cards have a finish applied to them). The blank cards are matte finished and seem to hold ink fairly well with no bleeding. I'm using a variety of pens with these cards - Sharpie permanent markers, Uni-ball metallic gel pens, and assorted highlighters. The gel pens look great and the Sharpies work well too. These cards hold up well under light handling, but start getting a bit ragged over time with heavy use. For what I'm using these cards for (flash-cards, random-number generators, art-card pieces) they hold up adequately for my needs. I will probably be purchasing more of these again in the future. The only markers I had problems with (that I've tried), were the Sharpie brand flip chart markers. The ink from those beaded up on the surface of the cards and smeared. The highlighters smeared a bit too - but I sort of like the water-color like effect that you can get with using them on these cards. 4Quality card stock, accepts oil paint pens well, nice snap and feel during shuffling. A good buy.A nice, thick card stock that accepts most mediums well. Painterly effects with oil based pens (Sharpie brand) can be obtained using rubbing alcohol with a paintbrush after applying oil ink. When fully dry, oil ink used did not peel or flake off of cards. Cards themselves are still flexible and maintain snap and feel during shuffle.I was able to rubber stamp the backside for a more customized look using Staz-On inks and a 4 sided, cube rubber stamp from Michael's craft store. Inks stamped beautifully but needed dry time. To be safe, I set them out for about a day, then stacked them all together without problems of smudging or streaks next day mid-morning. Excellent! 5
