    Love our Dog-Dog.This is our son's lovey. So, naturally, we had to buy 3 so that we had a backup (just in case). He's had it with him since he was about 6 months old and sleeping with him from around a year old. He's now 2 and each of the doggies has held up very well. They are just as soft, no pulls, threads loose or anything. And, trust me, our son chews, pets and pulls the doggie through his crib rail, so it's definitely taken a bit of a beating. Love this guy, great quality. 5The one and only lovey!When my daughter was really little I bought this lovey in hopes of easing her seperation anxiety especially at night. For about an hour before bedtime I would tuck this little guy in my shirt to pick up my scent and when I nursed my daughter I let her hold him and eventually when I put her down at night and naps instead of fussing she would reach for her lovey and relax. She is 2 1/2 now and still loves to sleep with her "snuggle puppy" every night. I also bought the Snuggle Puppy book by Sanra Boynton and told her this was her very own snuggle puppy. I'm on here now buying a back up! 5Love! Fabulous! Great! Must Have!Love this lovie! My independent kiddo doesn't like anything, but he loves his dog! Got this as a safety blanket in hopes our teething toddler would take on to it. Good thing we got two - one for washing and one for snuggles. Would highly suggest this for any parent who's worried about their kid breaking off pieces as this dog has zero pieces to him. Our strong hulk maniac has yet to rip the dog even when carrying him like a dog and trying to rip! If we have another kid, this is on the top of my list for sure!!! 5Two StarsI am giving 2 stars because my son immediately took to the blanket. But, within 4 days of giving him the blanket, the seam between the satin and the rest of the blanket came apart! We were so upset because the cotton filling was all over the crib! Total choking hazardMy son is only 5 months, so I'm certain it wasn't him and his brute strength that ripped it open 2Buying a second oneI bought it when I was pregnant of my son last year actually it was the very first things I bought it for him.I love it and couldn t wait for my son to use it. He has been using it since he is six months and now at 12 months it s his favorite, he loves the silk side and like to play with the dog s ears. Since he loves it so much I m buying a second one as a spare or to leave at grandma s house.Pros:Soft and silk sideEasy to clean I put on the washer and dryer with no problem sometimes I use the laundry bag, but not always and is still like new.ConsThe price, but still worth it. 5Fantastic Design OverallI am a stuffed toy enthusiast so I'm going to share my detailed feelings about this Dog Huggybuddy. I rate it 5 stars because its a fantastic design with good materials and the perfect size.This I liked:It's large, over 12 inches tall.The silky material on the front of this toy, the smooth texture is soothing and I only wish he also had it under his ears.The nose isn't too big and the eyes are a good distance apart. The spots are cute and well-placed.It has tiny bit of stuffing in the top paws which is great.Some minor problems I had with this toy:The back of the head was not stitched all the way closed, fortunately I have no problem stitching it myself.One ear had a broken stitching which would normally hold it down.The seam at the neck/shoulders feels too stiff (and I can feel it jutting out too far at one shoulder) I find this stiff bump distracting on what should be a floppy soft toy.It doesn't appear to be super sturdy**I've only had this toy for a day, but because of the smooth material used in the toy, it is susceptible to rips and tears. This type of material is difficult to mend because it shows everything and it frays easily.Overall I'm pleased with this toy, and I'm glad that GUND produced such a delightful design 5Still the great quality Gund is known for!I had a Gund Snuffles bear growing up and even after years of hard cuddling and later being in storage, he is still soft and fluffy. My son was given Spunky as a newborn, and at almost 3, we bought him a spare. It is super soft, good quality and just the right size! The original one s nose *is* beginning to fray, but my son has also been chewing on it for over a year now, and no stuffed animal can withstand that, I m afraid. Regardless, it is still the excellent quality that I would expect from Gund. Great size lovey for any ageWe own (2) Lambs, (2) Dogs and (2) Giraffes....I have two sons ages 1 and 5 and they love having matching stuffed animals. These are perfect for travel and in the car. Compact and washable. No rips, no snags, no holes after being washed every 5 days. So thankful for this lovey. We have one tethered to the car seat and it is a beloved part of the Suabaru. 5Adored and Holds Up WellAfter 2 1/2 years of having doggy as he is dubbed by our almost-three-year-old, we would strongly recommend a Gund plush (and have just ordered the lamb version of their lovey for our baby.)We have had some issues with 1)the tail coming off and 2) a seam around the ear breaking. We have not had any issues with the silky material tearing or any seams around it breaking. The tail and the ear were fairly easy fixes.This doggy has been everywhere because he is so loved. He has been to a dozen states, in the bathtub, in the pool (on accident), in the dirt outside (sigh), and drug around the house and in the car for countless hours, and, of course, through the wash at least weekly.I am attaching pictures but I would say, considering the heavy use this lovey has received, it has held up very well! 5Great lovey, disappointed with sewingI got one of these for a baby shower gift and my son loves to have it in the crib with him so we bought another one so he could have one at home and one at daycare (and just have a backup if needed) Love the size and softness. Perfect for him to cuddle and talk to in the mornings when he's not quite awake yet. I was very disappointed with the second one we purchased. There was a hole where the lighter colored eye patch meets the other darker fur. We were able to sew it up, but still disappointing nonetheless, especially when this seems to be a common occurrence. Would still purchase again due to how much our son loves this lovey, but it would be nice if the company looked into quality checking and control 4
