I got this for my two year old who is ...I got this for my two year old who is obsessed with cars, trains and anything with wheels. His latest interest is parking all these wheeled conveyances in a garage, so this was a big hit. He uses this not only with his Brio train set, but also for his Little People cars and trucks, and enjoys making the door move up and down. 5I expect nothing less then a superior product from BrioI expect nothing less then a superior product from Brio. My boy loves it and I can't help but love it as well 5Two year old loves itMy two year old was *desperate* (you know, toddler desperation) for a tunnel for his trains. He can play independently with his trains for so long, I find it worth it to find the greatest tunnel I could to significantly add to his train play. He LOVES this garage. He leaves it open on both sides much of the time to use it as a simple tunnel but also enjoys closing the sides and using it as a garage. He occasionally seems frustrated that he can't close both sides at the same time, but it's more important that he's able to have both sides open at the same time and you just can't have it all :) 5PERFECT ADDITION TO THE BRIO TRAIN COLLECTIONWhat could a little boy use for his train set? A garage to pretend to play with and the little boy I gifted loves this! BRIO toys are quality and the 3-year old I gifted can set up his train tracks, put his trains in a row to go across the tracks and he enjoys dismantling the tracks and them putting them together in another way! High quality. 5Toddler loves.Three year old is in love with this garage: his train is sleeping in it right now. The knob on ours turns pretty easily, my toddler has no problem with it. I was under an impression that when the door is closed, both doors are closed. That's not the case: it's one or the other. Or the door is on top and it becomes a tunnel. Very good quality as always although it seems that brio is sometimes inconsistent with their quality especially with battery powered engines. So i try to buy brio from amazon so i can easily return or exchange it if defective. I'd hate to be stuck with such expensive toys if they don't work properly. 5He loves pushing his trains in and out of the tunnel and gets great sensory visual input watching his Brio steam train go ...We bought the Melissa and Doug deluxe set for Christmas but I quickly realized my son needed a tunnel. They're that much higher quality and a lot more fun! 5Well-made, may be too short for the tallest trainsVery cute and well-made garage. My son prefers to use it as a tunnel, which was challenging because his Chuggington trains are a few millimeters too tall for the opening. I ended up getting a triangular screwdriver (size T20), undoing the bottom plate and adding felt strips between the garage walls and the bottom piece to make it about 3/16" taller. (You could put a little wood strip in too, I just worked with the materials I had.) The Chuggington trains fit through fine now, which has fortunately stopped the toddler cries of "STUCK!" BTW the price as I write this is about double what I paid a few weeks ago, so do your homework. 4Great Garage and TunnelWe are very pleased with this little "garage". While my former home had space for the big Tidmouth Shed, my new condo does not. A couple of these little garages gives the newest Thomas fan in our family a place for his trains to 'go to bed'. He also uses them as tunnels. The only reason I took off one star is that the knob is really hard for a just-turned-two-year-old. It's small and stiff. My suggestion to the manufacturer (if they ever read these things), is to put two little wings on the knob -- kind of like a wing nut. That would give little fingers something to push against. In all, very glad we made this purchase. 4Great Train Garage for IKEA Wooden Train SetGreat addition to my son's IKEA train set. The door opens and closes by turning the red knob. You can house a train in there or you can use it as a tunnel for trains to go through. It was a beautifully colored and sturdy product. Loved my purchase. 5Excellent Quality!We love brio, everything is great quality and has held up really well to hours of playing. My two year old can play with this for hours, with or without trains, he loves to open and shut the doors. We only buy brio! 5
