    Very well built like all Bruder toysI got this for my 5 year old who loves fire trucks and this is by far his favorite toy. The truck is very well built and has a long extensible ladder. The water hose is a bit tricky to get right. Overall, even though this is an expensive product, this is a truck that has a remarkable level of detail and will last for a long time. It is very, very well made, great details and features, and my grandson cannot put it down. The expanding ladder, water hose, opening and closing doors, flashing lights, etc are all awesome in his discerning opinion. The folding chair for the ladder comes off too easily, and the plastic pegs have already broken off, but again..........my grandson loves it and plays the heck out of it. The ladder, when fully extended, is almost 4 ft. high.Bruder is Bruder: expensive, somewhat durable, and incredibly detailed and varied in its selection. We keep buying them.Pro-tip: to extend the ladder you must pull the red knob outward until it clicks to disengage the locking mechanism. We thought it was broken at first and the multilingual directions (read "pictures") are not obvious. 5The Envy of Every 4 Year Old on the BlockWow! This is the coolest firetruck ever!!! This Danish made engine is full featured, does everything and my 4 year old LOVES it. The ladder is a good 15 inches taller than him, perfect for saving his sisters Beanie Boos who got stuck in the Christmas tree. The construction seems very durable and not something that will break easily. I have trained him to use the knobs to lower the ladder, rather than pushing it down. It resists pushing and is the one thing that I am concerned that could break with normal 4 year old play. When it comes to buying trucks and toys like this, I will definitely be purchasing Bruder from now on--US toy makers don't make them like this one. 5Awesome!!!Have you ever bought a toy for a kid where he was honestly jumping up and down because he was so excited? This is that toy! The durability and quality if this fire truck is sure to be passed on to my grand kids. That alone makes this rather expensive toy worthwhile. My almost 3 year old played with the fire truck for nearly four hours last night. I even let him fill the water tank multiple times and wash other Lego vehicles in Tupperware bowl which he thought was super cool. The ladder really extends quite high, taller than he can reach.I would say the only real negative is now I want to buy other bruder toys for him because he loved the first so much, as do I. When I received the package from Amazon (prime service), and I found one plastic part is cracked for some reason. And I repaired it by myself. I do not want to return and wait. It has some small parts may easily cracked during transportation. Kids may need to be 4 or 5 years old, that's proper age. Not recommend for kids under 3 years old. 4High QualityThis Scania firetruck by Bruder is an excellent toy and worth the price. With all the details, working sounds and lights, my kids love it. The ladder extends up to over 4 feet high and its easy enough for my 3 year old to work it. The dorrs open, the ladder will swivel 360 degrees, and there is 4 different sight and sound settings. Yes it does spray water if you want it to. The only warning I will give about it is this: the fire hose is a bit delicate and the nossel can easily come off and get lost. This is a high quality toy 5Great quality, watch them with the water!Our son loves this truck! I was impressed by the realistic tires and how the suspension works just like a real truck. The one after feature is great, just a pain to watch the kids with it and help them with it. They do eat a little frustrated trying to spin the handle to squirt. They also had some water issues when they tipped the truck over. Problem solved by taking the hose off until mom and dad are ready to watch them (or until it gets warm outside). Overall, great quality!!! 5Pricey, and not that coolI became a big fan of Bruder Trucks after I brought the trash recycling truck. Grandson plays with it all the time. For Christmas I bought him the fire truck. I wish I had purchased one of the cheaper models. My 5 year old grandson pulled out the hose where it attaches to the fire tuck and we had a difficult time getting it hooked back up. The sound component is not very loud. The lights are difficult to change colors. Just not that cool for the price. 3
