    A Worthwhile ToyI tend to be more critical in toy reviews to protect the joy of the young. I was very surprised about the robust construction and that a set of alkaline batteries were provided. I purchased a spare over concern of mechanism failure, but both chooched for several hours being man handled by both cousins and adults without incident. Definitely worth minimal expended funds. I would purchase again. 5expensive and plasticky but the little one loved it. originally purchased at Disney World but ended ...expensive and plasticky but the little one loved it. originally purchased at Disney World but ended up breaking within first week. this one is still going strong. 5Fun retro toy from the 90's, Almost like one from Spencers Gags and Gifts! Even the Adults are intrigued!So the first one I received only partially worked. I had one when my older kids were young in the early 90's! I bought it from Spensers gifts and it was awesome! It was better made but no lights. So I was familiar with how it should work and knew that it could! So as I looked in the gear box i realized that the wheels were to far apart to push the string through. I contacted Amazon and they sent me a new one in 2 days! It works awesome! I will buy more for Christmas gifts! 5Kid toy... or CAT toy?So I get it, this is supposed to be a kid's toy, but my cat LOVES strings, so I bought it for him. He's currently mad at me since playtime is over and I won't take it back out of the box. There are SO FEW cat toys that keep my cat engaged for longer than five minutes. This is by far the BEST cat toy ever! 10/10 would recommend! 5The cat loves it!Bought it for my cat and he loves it!!!! I never leave it out for him; supervised play only. We've been using it a lot, so it's not surprising that after three weeks the batteries have died. I love that you can open it, clean our the dust and carpet fuzz, place the string back on track and voila... it's as good as new! 4Poorly Designed ProductI ordered two of these from two different sellers and neither of them really worked. One of them I had to return completely because the string didn't move at all. This one the motor runs and the string goes around through the motor but you have to kind of bounce it up with you hand to get it going. (And have to keep doing that every 5 seconds or so) This isn't a complaint about the seller because the buying process was fine, I just think that it is a poorly designed product. 3Buy this.So much fun. Fun for kids and adults, esp adults on drugs. 5Still fun to play withBlacklight is strong but the motor is not as strong add gyre one from Disney. Won't push the strong up, just out and down. Still fun to play with. Easy to untangle 3Neat!My 5 year old grandson loves this toy! 5Doesn't work like it says it should.Bought this for my son for Christmas, it doesn't seem to have enough power to actually push the string up, it just hangs down and goes around. Tried replacing the batteries, didn't change anything. It seems like the motor in this one just isn't that good. 3
