    They are foam letters, so hard to make this review sexy. But they work and aren't toxic when your two-year-old eats some piecesPerfect for their purposes, but one small quibble I have is that some of the letters are the same color in sequence. For example, aving "GHI" all in purple makes it harder (which may be better for your application depending on your children's age) to teach the alphabet because it's one less way to associate another characteristic with what the letter is. Identifying the letter itself by shape only is hard, so having multiple colors around would make the learning process easier (from my limited understanding of how people learn). My 2 cents is that they were good for me because my 2-year-old chews them up anyway, but if you are trying to bolster alphabet and spelling skills the sequential coloring may cause you some undue heartache. I did not look into if any competitors advertise that they do not have the same problem though. 4I wish quality control was better, thoughOne of the suction cups arrived with the edge cut off...meaning that the suction cup is not perfectly round and is non-functional. Kind of defeats the purpose of a hanging mesh bag if the suction doesn't work, and, therefore, the bag doesn't hang. My son likes playing with them, though, and I guess that's the point. I wish quality control was better, though. 4I wish that they would have done different colors for the numbersNice to play with while teaching latters and numbers, and my 2 years old girl like it, but I wish that they would have done different colors for the numbers so we can find them in the bag if we need just them.Also, the bag that it came with was a littel bit small and it takes a while to find the right way to fit back all of the latters and numbers To the bag and close it. 3Window fun!I actually bought these to use on our sliding glass door, not in the bath. I thought they'd be fun for our son to learn his letters and numbers with, while sticking them to the window. We've only used them a couple of times so far. He doesn't seem to think they "belong" on the window, so when I stick them there, he just takes them off and either puts them on the floor or chews on them. He's only left tooth impressions on them - he hasn't actually taken a bite out of any of them (I don't LET him chew on them - he just chomps down until I can take it out of his mouth). They do seem very hardy. With more time, I'm sure he'll get the hang of playing with them. They did pique his interest, so it's a start! My only complaint, I guess, is that there's only one of each number and letter in the bag. Spelling out words ("Mom," "Dad" or your child's name) is tough. 5Love, love, love these letters!I loves these letters! My 2 year old does as well. I have purchased these type of foam letters before from Target, however they didn't come with a mesh bag. The mesh bag really helps. We had to throw our previous foam letters away because they were getting moldy from storing them in a plastic bag. We don't have a problem with this now because the mesh bag doesn't hold any water and allows the letters to dry properly.During bath time, we pour the letters/numbers into the bath and I'll ask my son to look for a specific one. When he finds it, he sticks it up on the shower wall. Of course they fall down after a little while but that makes him laugh and he enjoys putting them back up. My son also sometimes decides to chew on them. They are quite sturdy and have withstood his choppers. lolOur random bath games with these letters have really helped him to recognize his letters/numbers. He's two and he can already identify his numbers and letters. I think a huge part of that is because of the way we used these letter at bath time. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with young children. 5Although I like the bag which provides easy storageAlthough I like the bag which provides easy storage, I had to rate this product at only 3 stars since we were missing the letter 'F' and got two #9s. I think it may just be a quality control issue. Otherwise these foam letters are good quality and have provided lots of fun! 3Durable Beyond Expectation!I purchased these letters with the mesh bag for my 1 year old's birthday. He clearly needed bathtub toys and he loves chunky letter magnets, so I thought I'd give these large letters a try. I'm so glad I did! He's far from easy on them and he bites them with his 4 teeth (2 top,2 bottom). The indents that his teeth leave correct themselves quickly and they're plenty big enough not to be a choking hazard as-is. Please realise that they pose a risk if torn apart, but babies, even with this ability obviously shouldn't be left unsupervised in the tub anyway. Even so pulling them apart, even with toddler teeth, won't be easy because they are very sturdy and dense.My son is also pretty rough on the bag when he shoves letters in and yanks them out. There really is no sign of wear on either the bag or the letters. Aside from holding up well compared to other brands I've had with my 5 older kids, they aren't molding in their bag and the bag's suction cups work well on our tile walls. The bag won't hold anything beyond the letters since they fill it, but that's okay with me. If my son does manage to break these, I'll purchase them again. They stick to him and well as the walls and side of the tub, which delights him, and they are very durable. I really feel that these letters don't owe me a thing and I haven't even had them a month. 5Love These!These are sooooo much fun!!! They stick to the walls and our child has a blast moving them around. We love that we can use them to teach him colors, numbers, letters. Keeps him entertained in the bath for the longest time. He was even thrilled that he discovered he could sometimes get them to stick to himself. The storage bag is nice for when you want them out of the way to clean the shower. Highly recommend these 5Mom and kid frustrated when we rec'd two 2's and not a 3.Quality is very good - as expected but how am I supposed to teach my kid his numbers when we get two 2's and not a 3. Gah! All I heard at bathtime is "That's not right mommy", "That's not how it goes mommy" and "You're doing it wrong mommy". Yeah, yeah kid. 2Perfect for pre-readersI ordered these to arrive at our destination when traveling to visit a relative. These were lots of fun for my toddler (2 years, 2 months). He could easily identify the characters and enjoyed them in the tub and out. If I were only going to buy one set of letter toys, this would be it.I have actually bought him 3 sets--the Melissa and Doug wooden set, a different wooden set, and these plus a word builder set -also Melissa and Doug. We have flashcards in the console of the truck that we practice with while at stoplights, too. Jr is crazy about letters and loves to point out the letters on the signs where ever we go. At the mechanic shop, for example, he was pointing out the letters that he could recognize. Yesterday, on the highway, he yelled out, "UPS!" when a truck drove by. (Fed-Ex kept him busy for a minute.) At Hobby Lobby, there are lots of letter d cor items and he loves to name them, too. He gets lots of attention from people in the store when he does this and it really reinforces his desire.If you have a little letter-lover, this is a winner of an item. 5
