    Easy to use, beautiful, and functionalI bought these as a last minute, back-up costume as the full butterfly costume I ordered did not arrive in time for my daughter's Halloween party (that's what I get for ordering something that's not offered through Prime). They are fabulous. My five year old took them out of the package and had me show her how to put them on, and she was off. "I'm a REAL butterfly!" she yelled as she ran through the house, flapping her wings. She can work them perfectly and can easily take them on and off. I combined them with an antennae headband (that I made with pipe cleaners- not a crafty individual over here) and an all black outfit. I finished it off with some face crayons. All morning she's referred to herself in the third person as "the pretty butterfly."The best part of these (high quality) wings is that she can flap, flap, flap to her heart's content. She feels graceful like a butterfly, and there's no dealing with wires that get bent out of shape. Not to mention, after that one time showing her how to put them on, she can put them back on whenever she pleases. 5For the child at heartI love these wings! And get lots of compliments on them. They were purchased for myself a 5' 6" adult for a costume, and when my peanut is old enough or has a wingspan long enough, I will find a way to share them with her. I think the best part is they they flow with you, no poking anyone within a four foot radius of you like with the wire frame wings. You can hop in the car and not have to take them off.Since they are designed for a small person there are little loops at the tip of the wing for a finger to go through, but on an adult that loop shows up around your elbow. Which I remedied with some (flesh-toned) ribbon to tie from the loop to my elbow loosely. Last night I wore them to a costume bike party and pinned them from the loop to my long sleeve shirt. 5I did not realize that these weren't on a wire ...I did not realize that these weren't on a wire, but they are bigger than expected, and my daughter (age 5) loves them! 5High quality and attractiveMy daughter has been wearing these almost daily for a month. They've held up nicely to washing and as pajama-wear (she insists on sleeping in them most nights). I love how they don't have wires and don't get squished in car seats or during play. They have a bit of sparkle on the white dots on the edges of the wings, making them more attractive. These plus some black clothes and butterfly face paint made a fantastic Halloween costume and will live in our dress-up bin for years! 5Beautiful and high-qualityI bought these wings thinking they had wires to make them stiff like other fairy wings...but they are SO much better! They hook onto the child's shoulders with elastic and have an elastic loop at the tips to go around their middle fingers so when they lift their arms, the wings extend and they can flutter. The print is beautiful and the fabric is gauzy and lovely. My daughter is almost 7 and these fit her well. 5Good quality, better than wired wingsDaughter (5 years) loved the wings to complete her butterfly Halloween costume. I originally thought that she wouldn't like them as much as the stiff, wired wings but she LOVED them and they were so much easier to deal with than stiff wings! She put the finger loops through her thumbs and wore them almost all day at kindergarten. This style also made buckling into the car a breeze. The material is a sturdy gauze, with some glittering accents. They fit my tall 5 year old well and were correctly proportioned to her costume. Overall, very pleased with the quality and durability for the price I paid. 5Oh what fun!These wings are beautiful and the detail is fantastic! They are sheer with great colors and a little bit of sparkle, but not enough to keep a little boy from wearing them. My son is seven and loves Monarch butterflies so this was a great addition to our imaginary play. His favorite thing to do is run from couch to couch pretending he's flying! His 5 year old brother has the dragon wings! The best thing about these is that with a little patients the child can take them off and put them on. Which is great considering I usually have my arms full of a 5 month old :) 5My son with ASD and SPD loves these wingsMy insect loving son wore these wings to school for "dress like an animal day". I wanted something easy for his teacher that he could wear under a light jacket in his car seat. These were perfect. He has ASD and SPD so it's important that they don't itch, make noise, restrict his movement, or obstruct his view the way a mask would. He does not normally wear this kind of thing for long or engage in pretend play, but these stayed on all day and he told everyone he was "a monarch" (not "dressed as a monarch"). He's 5, about 45 pounds and close to 50 inches tall. They fit him well with room to grow. They are light weight and somewhat see-through but well made. I plan to replace the elastic with larger pieces when he outgrows them, and the finger loops with wrist loops so we can get a bit more mileage out of them, they seem sturdy enough to last that long and take a bit of sewing. It is also a perfect tie in with one of his favorite documentaries "The Incredible Journey of the Butterflies" (season 4 episode 5 on NOVA available to watch on Amazon's streaming service) because they actually look like monarch wings which is very important to my little guy. It should be noted that there is a bit of glitter accenting the white spots, which some might take as a feminine detail. My son and I didn't care, but some might. Douglas has a nice assortment of realistic moth and butterfly wings available on Amazon, I especially like the look of the "Marsh Fritillary" and the "Clipper", they are on my wishlist now along with a few others. 5Love these!I bought 3 sets to put in my children's Easter baskets and a friend's daughter's basket as well. The children are 5, 4, and 2. These are a little big for the 2 year old, but he was still able to use them and have fun. 5Beautifully made.I bought these for my 4 year old son to wear to a music festival we attended and they were perfect. They arrived well packaged arrived on time and look exactly as pictured. The loops that you slide over your thumb/finger are firmly attached and not flimsy whatsoever. They are a little big, probably better suited for an older child, but they still look great on him and I love the fact that he can grow into them. We would definitely purchase again. 5
