RiskyOrdered two one works second one does not. String is messed up. Contacted about an exchange and they said it couldn t be exchanged. 1Very poorly madeI was excited for my husband ( yes you read that right!) to open this in his stocking. These yo-yo s we re one of our favorite things as children but the quality has gone downhill apparently in the last 15 years. Mine broke within hours of opening it while my husbands broke within a day... the string is port quality and breaks and slides ridiculously simple to the point you cannot even roll the yo yo back up to your hand...not only that but as you thrust it down the string breaks and could easily be a safety hazard , taking out an eye or some fragile decor around your house. 1Cheap, broke in 30 minutesWhere to start...* Can't unscrew one half of the yoyo from the other to fix a string that might be caught.* The yoyo is so light that it won't "sleep" for you to do any tricks with it.* It's not well balanced. When you throw it down, there's a pretty decent chance it throw itself off centre and not return to your hand.* The edges are triangluar (ish) due to the flat surface on the sides. Meaning it stings a little when it returns back to your hand.* The string is wound, not twined causing the string to get even more wound up when you play with it causing potential knots, etc.These are all the observations I had during the 30 minutes of time I got to play with it. After 30 minutes (not hitting the floor with it), the outer ring on the non-logo side of the yoyo came unbound from the center. This threw it more off balance and made it impossible to wind the yoyo back up again.Absolutely rubbish. Save your money unless it for kids to mess with. Duncan has become the discount/cheap brand. 1Can't pick your color. Go to the toy store if you want to be happy.The yoyo is fine. It's an inexpensive toy. But you can't pick the color. Took a change to see if I could get a green one - nope. The ugly red one came. I wonder if this is a way to get rid of overstock that nobody buys. 2Not for 5 year oldsThis is just not a toy for a very young kid. Its definitely for a very motivated late elementary school age child 2Great yo-yo to buy for the kids or adults that just want to play!This is such a fun yo yo! It's not special. It doesn't light up. It goes up and down, just like it's supposed to. It arrives with the string in a matter that it can spin at the end of string freely and you can 'pop' it up when you want. My kids prefer it to come up automatically so all you have to do is thread the yoyo through the loop and it comes right back.The two sides do not separate or unscrew. That's better in my house anyway.The size is great for kids and the butterfly design helps when you may be learning to do some tricks. I got the orange color yo-yo. I do wish I could choose the color but it doesn't matter that much. You can use this yo-yo for almost all basic tricks. This is great learning yo-yo. The string gets knotted easily but what yo-yo string doesn't?Overall a great choice for the price!Do I recommend it?Absolutely (if you don't have color preference) 4Very light cheaply made yo yoThe yo yo shipped out and arrived on time.It's NOT just like the yo yo from years ago.It's a lot different than the ones from 30 years ago.They are hollow, much lighter and thinner. These are for pros as none of us could get it to come back up the string, so this yo-yo only yo-ed. I am going to order one that states it returns up the string. Would not recommend for a newbie. 2
