Solid toyLoved this toy for my twins! It was fun putting it together with them & now just watching them play. My dog got ahold of one of the pieces and chewed it up, but I must say the color stayed in tact, no chipping at all so I don t foresee this product falling apart easily 5check the dimensionsMake sure to double-check the dimensions, it was much smaller than I expected. It's actually quite difficult for my 2.5 year old nephew to turn the screws, so may be better for a slightly older child. 4Cute Workbench for toddlerThis is a very cute workbench! My 2 year old will have fun with it. However it is more for 12- 36 months, rather than 36 months + as the description says. Be sure to review the measurements as it is pretty small (but a good size for a 1-2 year old). It is very durable (it is wood and not plastic) and sturdy and everything works as it's supposed to. I have searched many toddler workbenches and this is the best one I have found for my 2 year old. I would not recommend it for 3 years+ because you can't really build anything with it but it is good for 1 & 2 year olds to hammer, saw and screw and unscrew things. Cute and fun toy for a young toddler. :) 4Total and complete garbageDo yourself a favor and avoid this bench. Not only is it tiny (even for a toddler), it is not even functional. It includes a hammer, yet there are no play nails or even smoothed out holes to hammer something into. My older kid had one of these when he was little that was WAY more functional. 1Arrived broken :-(I bought this for my 2 year old nephew. Decided I should put it together before is birthday party and took everything out of the box and discovered that part of the blue bottom tray is broken off (see pictures) so I have to return it. I was going to reorder but it's now no longer available through Amazon Prime and it's also more expensive. The upright pieces are solid wood are very sturdy but the painted pieces (other than tools and screws/nails) and top of the workbench are compressed board. 2Design flawsOverall an OK starter tool kit, but has design flaws. Most confusing is that both the screws and the nails come with slotted heads so that once the nails are hammered in, you can t tell if it s a nail or a screw. Trying to use the screw driver to back out a nail that looks like a screw is therefore doomed to failure, not a good thing for a young learner. Second is that once a nail is hammered all the way in, it s impossible to remove without something like a real screw driver. The third is that the slots on top of the screws are so wide that the blade of the screw driver is difficult for a young one to keep in the slot. The 4th is that the bench is held together using the same screws as those used in playing with the set, so they are fewer screws are available for play without taking the bench apart. 3Great Product!I'm really impressed with this!I bought this for my husband and one year old as a Father's Day present. She's a little young, but it was a cute idea so I did it, and she does tinker with it, but when I REALLY found out it was cool was when my 9-yr-old niece was here. She had so much fun rearranging all the pieces and making new creations! The really cool thing about this is that it's put together with it's own "hardware," no real/metal bolts or screws, so kids can take the whole thing apart and put it back together (keep the instructions on hand though, in case it's you reassembling!). Plus, I love the classy, love profile yet still bright colors. It's not bulky or plastic... I really like it! 5well madeI bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas one year. It is made out of real wood and is a very well made product. We've had it for a couple years now and she still loves playing with it when she comes over. It still looks like the day we got it. It is a good learning tool as well to teach them how tools work. 5Cute, but not good qualityI purchased this product for my 23-month-old for Christmas. It is now January 13--so we've had it less than 3 weeks. It's already falling apart.The workbench is cute--my little boy loves the colors and was excited to use it! His favorite part, of course, is the hammer--however, the "nails" don't do anything at all. All the holes in the bench and the pieces are made for the "screws"--so you can screw the screws into any of the holes, but the nails just plop right through. So no hammering! What a waste of the best part!Now that it's had a couple weeks of play, it won't even stay together. The bench is falling apart all the time because it's actually screwed together with the toy "screws." Cute for the building idea, but it's crap.One more thing--one of the "screws" came apart from its top--the little wooden post from the colored screw-top. This is a choking hazard and makes me want to throw them all away.UPDATE: I did eventually take all the pieces and throw them away. All the "screws" and "nails" came apart from their posts and made tons of little choking hazards. This toy should be reported and recalled. 1Cool little kid toyCool little kid toy! It was a big hit. There are only picture directions and was a bit complicated. But it goes together with the same wooden screws that are to be played with, which will make for interesting configurations as the kid grows older. Very good materials and bright colors. I showed have paid more attention to the actual dimensions I was surprised at how small it was, but it turned out to be a good size for our 3 yr old. 4
