Adorable!This was a birthday gift for a friend's child. When she opened it there was a chorus of "Awwww" from all 9 little girls who attended the birthday party. Just from taking a look at it in the package, it makes very cute little baby-ish sounds. Slurps when you pretend to feed it. I did not get to see her play with it, but her mother told me that all the girls in her household were "LOVING" the panda. Her capital letters, not mine. 5Great ToySuch a cute toy! This was my 3 year old daughter's favorite toy from Christmas. Pom Pom makes adorable noises, is easily interacted with, is so soft and just begs to be cuddled. I was cornered that the voice commands would not work well when my daughter spoke them to Pom Pom but that is not the case.This panda can walk on hard surface floors, plush carpet, smooth carpet, and even over a little bit of obstacles like a blanket or toy car. It does change direction a bit when it encounters uneven walking areas or walks into things. I like that when my daughter's attention turns elsewhere, Pom Pom turns off after not being interacted with for a short time, saving the batteries. My daughter treats this sweet panda like a baby doll--laying her in her baby doll furniture and stroller, feeding her, and showing her off to all her friends and family. The baby bottles for my daughter's other baby doll toys work just as well as the bottle that comes with it. There is a sensor mechanism inside the mouth that recognizes something is there and begins the feeding sounds. My daughter creates prentend food at her kitchen and feeds it to Pom Pom with a play utensil and gets a kick out of her 'eating' it.We also have the white FurReal dog and they have such adorable interaction together. My kids get a kick out it as my 5 and 6 year olds think this panda is cool too, but they haven't been able to play with it much since my 3 year old is protective of her baby panda. I highly recommend this toy especially for children who are nurturing and/or like baby dolls or animals. 5Our dog loves it....I purchased this for our three year old for Christmas. I was really hesitant at first but it's cute and I thought she would enjoy it. We even renamed it Ping Pong. What can I say, Ping Pong has definitely entertained us all. She opened it up and we helped her get it set up and going. Put Ping Pong on the floor and it took off, making it's little noises and scooting across the floor.....right up to the dog, lol. Of course the dog, full of confusion, side stepped to allow the panda to keep going, right into the dog dish and was able to scoot the dish across the floor, which led to the dog following the panda wondering where it was going with his food bowl. Our dog is a Jack Russell so maybe his personality makes this toy even better but when the panda makes it cooing and babbling noises the dog turns its head like he is trying to understand this thing. As far as actually playing with it, the entertainment to our child direct was short lived. She prefers to put it down in the floor when the dogs and cats are in the room and gets more entertainment out of watching them interact with the toy then she does actually playing with it alone. It doesn't do much but walk across the floor, babble/coo and interact a little. I got it on lightening deal so it was a better deal than what they normally sell for. Somewhat entertaining but not in the way in which you would expect if you were just purchasing it for a kid to play with. It was just by accident that we get more entertainment out of it than what it is purposed for. 4Cute-but has glitches compared to the gray leopardCute, but definitely has glitches compared to the leopard version. You have to press the back multiple times to get the panda to move. I was also disappointed with the packaging--the press sticker was so adhered and embedded into the fur I had to use a wet wash cloth to even remove it. The fur is also loose on the body. The quality was below par compared to the other Hasbro products. I would recommend the gray leopard version if you do not have an animal preference. The cost is less and the features are the same without the glitches. 3Cute toyThis is a super cute toy for girls or boys. My son who is 2.5 was fascinated by it and loved feeding the panda when I fed our baby. The panda is adorable, makes sucking sounds when you feed it or put something to its mouth, says "mao mao mao" like a baby panda, and walks in a straight line. You can position its legs in standing, sitting, or lying down position.The rattle doesn't always make the panda go forward, but the toy is still fun without the rattle. My main issue with the toy sheds easily. If it didn't shed, it would deserve 5 stars for cuteness.If you are buying from amazon, make sure you don't choose the "FRUSTRATION FREE PACKAGING" if you want to give it to someone as a gift as this means it will just come in a brown box (not how you would see it packaged at the store). Frustration free packaging means it comes straight from the manufacturer with just a simple box you open to play with it instead of having to deal with cutting off zip ties, etc in order to get the toy out of packaging you would normally see it in at the retail store. I recommend getting it in the retail store packaging because packaging makes a huge impact on kids (and some adults). I would only do the frustration free packaging if it was a lot cheaper for that option, but I think it is the same price here. 4Really Cute & Adorable!This Christmas my 8-year old niece kept asking for the Zoomer Kitty, but I'd read reviews that the tail kept breaking off and I wasn't paying $80+ for it. Instead I ordered the FurReal Friends Panda (Dec 6, 2015) for Christmas. It was half the price of the Zoomer Kitty and got positive reviews. So I said a prayer and crossed my fingers that my niece would like it. I'm not going to lie, my niece wanted the Zoomer Kitty and was at first a little disappointed, but when she saw everything the Panda did (and it's just so cute), she was really happy with it and I no longer hear about the Zoomer Kitty. One tip though, buy new AA batteries...rechargeable ones at that. The ones that come with the Panda died that first day and you never know how long they've been sitting on the shelf. 3The panda works! It really, really works!I bought this panda as a replacement for another panda that my daughter had for many, many years. I have purchased a few other fur real friends and had to rerun them due to them only working on demo. So I was a little worried about this seller/ product because of other purchases that had to be returned. BUT to my surprise. The product came in exactly as described. It was in New but used condition as it has no box and the extra small toys that the other one previously came with. It even came with batteries and as soon as I took it out of the package. I turned it on and it works as it should! Ugh such a relief! I will defiantly be buying again from this seller! The panda was used but legit looks brand new. If ur considering from buying from this seller. Do it. U won t be disappointed. 5So completely disappointed in the toy and in AmazonI purchased this for my daughter's birthday, it was at the top of her wish list. On her birthday when the panda was unwrapped her excitement at receiving the gift was quickly replaced with total despair because it doesn't work. After pulling batteries in and out and replacing them with new batteries the panda appears to have a short, 95% of the time it will do nothing when the button on it's back is pushed, then every once in a while it emits a small noise. I noticed when replacing the batteries that the existing batteries were Duracell and not the generic batteries toys often come with, making me believe we were not the first recipients. As a very faithful Amazon customer I am very disappointed that they would employ such shady business practices. 1Defective... twice! The toy only works on demo mode. When I switch it on it takes two steps and then stops and after that nothing else works. I have seen other reviewer s say their panda had this exact same defect. I tried new batteries and all the troubleshooting found in the manual. Nothing helped. Then I ordered a replacement and it has the exact same defect! Comparing this to the furreal snow leopard, which we got for my other daughter and that one works perfectly 1We just had our family Christmas get together.
