Outdated instructions not reliableMy grandaughter was real excited when she received this for her birthday Sept 1. But unfortunatley the instructions are very vague as to how to connect this via the app. it is very out dated and we didnt have a phone that was compatable.I am.VERY dissappointed not to say how upset that my grandaughter was not able to enjoy it at her party. Her parents are still going to try to connect it but if not this will be coming back to you .I think you should maybe look into this. 1The unicorn herself is beautiful, soft furThe unicorn herself is beautiful, soft fur, lovely colored mane and eyelashes and Diva would die for.Now to see if it will hold the attention of a 5 & 3 year old! Starlit moves her hooves, head and makes cooing sounds upon interaction but doesn't seem to "learn" as the description implies. I can't speak to the how well it will hold up (my great nieces are NOT the gentle type). The app is larger so you might need a device with enough memory to handle it, also seems to have an issue with some android devices so if you have an S6 or 7 might want to do further research. 4If I could give it a zero I wouldOverpriced for something that basically does nothing except look pretty. 1Hot MessDoesn t work. Here I am, 3 days after Christmas 2018 trying to expand her little capabilities so my daughter can play with Starlily to her fullest potential. The app is downloaded, it never prompts me to turn on mic capabilities but kindly reminds me to toggle it on. I go through the normal troubleshooting via settings, restarted phone, closed out other apps, can t even locate the app within settings, it s a wash for me. After contacting Hasbro online support, I learn that she s been out of production for 3 years and is not compatible with the latest iPhone (currently using IOS 12.1.2 on iPhone X). So when it denoted Amazon Exclusive it really (to me) meant, here s what s left of our stock, it ll still work with grandma s android. I feel bamboozled by her glittery eyes and purple lashes...and that cute little purr, but sadly that s all she ll do...because 2018. 1Very prettyOur daughter had this on the top of her Christmas list. We were hesitant because of the price, and we were worried it would become a prop rather a toy. Turns out, we were right. Poor starlily has been played with rarely since she was opened, but she does get tucked in every night. Our daughter was super excited when she opened this and played with her for several days, but I guess the fun of it wore off? She is very beautiful and well made. I love her big eyes and long lashes as well as her pretty wings that flap. My daughters favorite part is her unicorn horn that lights up. I'm not sure why she got bored with it... Maybe she's too hard to cuddle? Or that she doesn't walk? Or maybe she's too young for it? (she's 5) This was our first furreal pet purchase so we didn't really know what to expect. There is zero wrong with the product. I guess it just happens to be one of those toys that gets pushed to the back. Knowing what we know now we wouldn't have purchased her. But that is only because she doesn't get played with much. The unicorn itself, works well and is beautiful. 5OK product forget the AppThree stars is probably being a bit generous...............So here we go. My four year old requested a unicorn. Odd requests and so when my wife stumbled onto this item she thought we had found the perfect Christmas gift. Purchased it boxed it up and waited for Christmas morning. On Christmas morning our four year old was quite happy to see a large beautiful(to her) unicorn with a wonderful name like Star lily. It took us a few minutes to navigate the complex packaging typical of many children's toys these days.After releasing it from bondage we realized it was doing nothing. A quick check showed it to be "batteries not included". I am not taking any stars off for this. We should have been more diligent. So now we must rummage through the house trying to locate C batteries. We find three. It takes four. After McGuyvering a AAA cell to fit we power the toy on. Our four year old can finally interact with her and all is good. Only one star has been removed from the product because to this point it is pretty much delivering a solid but under performing productWe purchased a cheap tablet for her to use with Star Lily and the app. This is where the other two stars go. Absolute rubbish. It took us thirty minutes and lord knows how many attempts to pair the tablet to Star Lily. The other reviews seem to show this being a common problem. The tablet has to be paired EACH time they are used together. That is a joke to make a product aimed at young users that is absolutely broken. I would return the item for being so defective and flawed. I cannot because there is most likely a special place in hell reserved for parents that take away a child's unicorn.Approach this product cautiously 2Amazing and adorable!!When I first saw StarLily, I knew right away that I wanted to play with her...er, my daughters would surely love to play with her ;) I couldn't believe how much personality she seemed to have just by watching the videos online. Finally she was given as a gift to my youngest for her 6th birthday. She was an instant hit!!! Her sisters (ages 9,10 and 11) are still fighting over it too :) No disappointment whatsoever. Connection instantly worked out to the kids' iPad minis, and took about 10 seconds initially and even less later on. I think it's interactive enough and definitely developing "new" sound effects and movements as the time goes by. We love her!!! Gorgeous too and I can't get over the mobility, very realistic looking to the point of kinda cutely-freaky sometimes!! Quite frankly I don't understand the negative reviews, granted it was not a cheap present but StarLily is huge, and my girl won't put it down for a moment since she received it. It was very worth it. I would love if the app had more to offer, but it was not made for older kids and adults, and for this younger kid age group it's cute and perfect as is! Just superb. Thank you FurReal! When I was a kid I only dreamt of such magical toys like these, 30 years later now it's reality! 5So disappointed!!Beautifully made. Sadly, does not interact as described. Goes into "sleep" mode after short period of no interaction and is very difficult to "wake up". Advertises 100 combinations of movement and audible response to your touch and voice - 10 is more accurate. 2My 6 year old loved it for about a dayMy 6 year old loved it for about a day, it has been "sleeping" in a little bed she made for it since the day after her birthday. Super expensive in my opinion for what it is but it was her birthday and it was what she wanted so it is what it is. Moves its wings and feet, nibbles at the berry. She probably would have been just as happy with a stuffed unicorn 3
