    Possibly toxic for someBought this for my then 11 year old niece in 2018 for Christmas. She loved it, so soft & cute. In April 2019 her mother told me that they had to throw it out. My 11 yr old niece started telling her parents she didn't want to be in her room & that someone was trying to kill her. Parents couldn't figure out why this was happening. So they narrowed it down to this Gund plush. Once they got rid of the plush she stopped with sleeping in her parents bed & saying that someone was trying to kill her. Not sure if there was a chemical in the material that it was made of that she was allergic to. Never had a problem with Gund products in the past & hopefully won't have one in the future. 1Most Cuddly Puppy!!!THIS PUP IS SIMPLY ADORABLE!!! I have given two for gifts...to a child and to an adult...and kept one for myself...for a total of three purchases. Both recipients were ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTED. I must mention, however, that the fur around the eye did need some careful trimming to expose the eyes on all three pups which I purchased. Other than the trim, this is a perfect lifetime companion who needs no food, discipline, walking, health insurance, or plans for what to do with him when one goes on vacation! He also can be trusted not jump onto the counters when the owner is away and consume all the holiday candy or baked goods. 5Adorable...Rapidly Balding.Adorable. Flexible. Playful. Losing hair by the moment. We just look at her and she has plugs of hair coming out. I feel like she has a thyroid issue. (Not poking fun. My sister has a thyroid problem and this dog has actually made her feel better about it.) Having said that, it is a toy and a Gund product should be better quality. Returned, 1Not as Cute as the Stock PhotoBought this for my son for Christmas as it looks similar to our dog. It arrived squished into a small plastic bag. When I took it out it fluffed up pretty good. It's cute, but not as cute as the stock photos. It did have some loose "fur" as was mentioned in other reviews. I also thought it could have been fluffier. I can see its "skin" through the fur. I probably would not have bought this if I had seen it in the store. I'm still trying to decide if I should keep it or return it. 2GUND or GUND inspired???Not sure this is an authentic GUND, but if it is, then it must be a factory "second". This is definitely not the same GUND quality I remember from years past.I notice others have noted theirs came packaged in a plastic bag. Mine was tossed into a box with an air pillow, no plastic bag. Did I get someone else's return...?Next, it looks nothing like the pic; It's eyes are so deepset I thought they were nonexistent, but they do exist and are strangely wide set & lop sided. There is a piece of fabric/seam sticking out & over the right eye (so it's defective if nothing else).Lastly, the mouth consists of one tiny thread below the nose, the side mouth lines are hidden beneath fur that got stitched down on top of the thread. Overall this is just SAD.I'm returning this and sure hope it will not be reprocessed & sent out to another unsuspecting consumer. 2So disappointed with GUND.So disappointed with GUND. I have had a GIND dog on my bed for over twenty years and he looks better than this mutt. No matter what I did is always looked like something from the thrift store. It was a gift for my grand child. I returned it. 1looks like my dog, cute.I bought this because it looks like my shitzu/portuguese water dog mix. I missed it the first time they had it in stock, so I knew I had to get it when I saw it in stock again. Like other reviews said, it isn't the best quality and does look diffrent then the photo. It's hair does come out preety easy. Thats not a problem for me, since I don't indent to play with it. For being a cute little addition to my bookshelve, it's good enough. If you intend to give this to a child or have it jar around any it would not last long, I am sure. 4Hard, thick wire in EarsSo last year for Valentines Day I got my daughter a cute stuffed puppy from the big box store that begins with a W, that was similar in many ways to this one. After a single wash, it was ruined. So this year I decides to pay 4 times as much for a brand I trusted. After opening it today, February 13th, I am rather disappointed. The fur in the picture looks really cute, but in person it just looks really thin and it gives it this over all cheap look to me. I know it was designed this way on purpose, so you can see the brown fabric underneath, but in person I am just not a big fan. I am also really nervous because it feels like the same silky material that didn't survive one wash on the other stuffed dog, but I am just going to pray the Gund name holds true to being better quality. The huge disappointment for me are the ears. They have thick, hard wire in them! Why??!! I mean, the ears would be floppy cute without the wire. I just don't see how it serves a significant aesthetic purpose. I got it for my four year old who will want to cuddle and sleep with it, and there will be a dang, hard wire poking her. About the thickness of a wire clothes hanger. Seriously. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, so I am going to go ahead and give it to her, (since I don't have time to get something else,) but this weekend maybe I can cut a couple holes, pull the wire out, and stitch it back up without too much damage. Hopefully.Other than that she is exceedingly cute. She is also very soft and perfectly understuffed for that just right amount of squishyness needed for ideal cuddlying.I will update when it gets washed, which is inevitable with my daughter's stuffies.Update: I eventually cut a small hole in each ear and pulled out the wires and then sewed it back up. It bugged me too much. I have to admit my daughter never complained about the wire. It has now gone through the gentle cycle of our washing mashine and come out the same but clean. It is her favorite stuffie she takes everywhere. While it is a little smaller than the pets at Build a Bear, their clothes fit her fine, which thrills my kid. I have updated the review from 3 stars to 4 since it is of obvious lasting quality. It's cuteness has also grown on me. 4So Adorable! Sweet! Huggable!THIS IS SO DARN CUTE! The expression! The fluffiness! Bought for my little grand-niece who adores my Goldendoodle. But I almost didn't wanna give it away. This little Gund puppy looks JUST like my cream-colored Doodle! I wanted to remind her of how much the puppy enjoys her visits! So lovable, squishy and cute! I know it will be a huge hit at Christmas unwrapping time... Thanks Gund! Darling design! It's smaller -- but a great size for a 4-year-old... 5
