    Wonderful Game!This is a great mind stimulating game! Everything was packaged nice and the box it came in keeps everything in check. The only complaints I have are:1)The board is not made all that well It is cheap and cut more than once. This is enables them to fold it like a square and fit it into a smaller box. The cuts make it hard to lay the board flat and keep pieces on the board correctly.2)Also the wooden tiles/pieces are very light, I am not sure what type of wood they are.Other than the above, this is a great game to play and have in the house! 4Family Game NightMy darling wife has re-instituted family game night. Now, she had an older, traveling version of Scrabble with the tiny tiles that you kind of plug into the plastic playboard almost half the size of this full-size board. It's a real pain in the butt to use the traveling version at home. This full-size, inexpensive version is such a pleasure to use and we thoroughly enjoyed playing on it this past weekend. 4Family funQuick delivery and family fun. My daughter loves to show off her extended vocabulary. 5A Classic You Just Can't BeatMy wife and our friends have been huge Scrabble fans from way back. We were playing a lot of the Scrabble beta app on Facebook, but were getting tired of all the bugs. Plus, a good old-fashioned face to face game can't be beat. This set hasn't changed a bit from the version I played as a kid. This is the no frills version: the board doesn't revolve lazy Susan style and the tile bag is just made of plastic. Other than that, the game materials are high quality. As for game play, if you happen to be that rare person who has never played Scrabble, it is a classic board game and a ton of fun. And yes, it is educational and encourages literacy. 5Is what is says it is!Bought this last week after seeing it for more at Target. No, it doesn't come with score cards but we don't have a problem doing the simple math ourselves. We keep score on a sheet of paper, no problem. The board lies flat, the tiles are lightweight, and we've no problem with the game. It's fun, even if I do often end up with gruesome letters, like E E E I U O Z. I pick them though, so it is what it is! As for the dictionary, we both agreed at the beginning to use dictionary.com and not to use any proper nouns or abbreviations. If you're worried about bumping the board and sending the tiles flying, play on a table and be mindful! I would recommend getting a lazy suzan to place the board on though, since I hate craning my neck to see the board when it's not facing me. Overall, love the game, and have no qualms with anything about it! 5Scrabble is just a great game but.....I have no problems with the game, it's terrific and have played for years, and now play on my smartphone as well.This review has to do with the company Webbblossomstudios that fulfilled the order. They did not put the game in a box or padded bag but just wrapped it in plastic with a label. It arrived with the corners of the box rubbed off and damaged. I am not sending it back, to much of a hassle, but just an FYI, not a sensible way to send something. 5A helpful choice for an assisted living facilityI sent this as a gift to an assisted living facility where many of the residents are physically or developmentally disabled and of various ages. I was surprised and delighted to learn that it has become a favorite for groups of no more than two or three. It is challenging but understandable and the players seem to pick equally capable opponents, so it doesn't add frustration, but rather gives satisfaction when words are completed.. 4Not the greatest packagingI'm guessing you didn't come here for a review of the game Scrabble itself, unless you've been living on another planet for the last century. Scrabble is great, always one of my favorites, and a highly recommended game for literally everyone. With that said, this is the version you'll buy if you just want a cheap, simple, low budget type to give to your kids or to give as a gift or award for something. There's nothing terrible about it, but there's nothing great there either. The board is flimsy, the tiles don't always match each other, and the material is simply cheap. It will get the job done just fine, but you're getting what you pay for here. 3Great game for a night inScrabble is great we play it when ever we want to have a quiet night in or when friends come over for dinner. 5Classic FunWe love our Scrabble game, and the tiles are still make of real wood! 5
