    Four StarsFun Item 4Space Shutttle Gets Shrunk to SizeI have been a model builder for about 43 years. This was my second attempt at working on the "Egg Plane" kits. The first being the "F-14". This kit was a breeze to put together. Everything went together with very...and I mean very...little flash removal. And surprisingly very little painting. I used bare metal foil on the insides of the door panels as well as on the shield of the little astronaut. The pieces were so easy to work with. There are some small parts that if a child works on this kit, they should have an adult supervising. I could have used some supervision...LOL...I kept dropping the wheels!! I would highly recommend this kit to anyone who wants to try something totally different and in a different scale. Any of the "Egg Plane" kits I would recommend in a heartbeat. They are a great conversation starter' But of course the main thing is...is to have fun. 5Very happy with purchaseJust as advertised. It took 1 month to get but the supplier kept in contact with me. It was a fun break from AMS (Advanced Modelers Syndrome) and I have to say, it reminded me building could be fun again. It was easy to build, easy to paint, and just plain fun to do.As far as educational value, yeah in an egg plane, you really cannot assess this, and to durability, again, it is a plastic model, so...Try it, you will like it! 5Five StarsVery cute. 5Darn cute and out of this worldNeat adaptation of a great plane. It's so darn cute I had to have it and build it to mount. Refreshing look on a well-know aircraft. 5Easy and fun to build.I ve built three of these little model kits over the years. One for my nephew, one for my son and the third for my grandson. I mounted each shuttle on a small 5 earth globe and the entire display (tiny as it is) sits nicely on top of a side table or dresser. The model itself goes together with no issues. The decals are excellent and lay down well. When I built the third shuttle egg, I simulated a tile pattern and added plumbing to the outside of the three main engines. I also put some vertical stringers on both ends of the cargo pay. I m like most other builders and have used silver foil on the insides of the cargo bay doors. But the door parts are concave and the foil never sits flush. On this third attempt, I cut feux radiator panels from plastic and stuck the foil to these. Then glued the radiators to the doors. Looks a little more realistic and there s no creases in the foil. A fun little project. 5What a great kitThese things are just plain fun to build and they look really cool when finished. The fit was wonderful and I had a lot of fun. Hasegawa makes a great product and very affordable. Ships from Japan so it took a little time to get here, but it was worth the wait. 5
