Customer Reviews

Great for puzzlers!I gave up doing jigsaw puzzles when it caused me terrible back pain from leaning over my dining room table. This table is part of my solution and it's wonderful. I purchased a balance ball chair, tilting draft table, this board and the box of boxes that holds 1000 pieces of puzzle. The board holds pieces in place even at an angle, and it is easy to move pieces on it! This really surprised me. I tried another one before and you could not move the pieces at all. The boxes have a removable bottom sheet so I can work on a section and move it easily to the board. When I'm not puzzling I put the cover over the puzzles to keep cat paws off it, stack up my boxes and it's all out of the way. My dining room table is now just for eating. Best of all there are so many fun puzzles just waiting for me to do. I find puzzling very relaxing and meditative. Now on my balance chair I'm getting better posture and NO back pain. Thank you to all for these products. 5Love it. With five cats helping me work on ...Love it. With five cats helping me work on a jigsaw puzzle, it became a defined area on which they were not allowed. I used the cover to prevent additional "help" after hours. (Photo taken prior to our "off limits" discussion.) 5Fine for working puzzles, but no room for extra pieces and bulky to storeThe board itself is fine and it holds a large puzzle (1500-piece Ravenburger). But there's not very much room at all for pieces to be worked, so you have to get sorting trays or something else to put them in. And then when it's time to move it off the table to store, it's huge and you've got trays of pieces to deal with as well. I needed something for puzzles for my mom and my husband's dad to work from. We had downsized our home and just don't have any extra room to set up a permanent puzzle station. I am trying to find a 1500-piece caddy that is not outrageous to replace this with and will most likely return this.If you can leave it set up or move it somewhere that it won't be in the way all the time, you'll probably like it fine. Just not working out for me at all. 3It is awesome as we were able to move the puzzle from ...Received this yesterday and started using it last night! It is awesome as we were able to move the puzzle from one room/table to another without disturbing the puzzle at all. It came very well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. I love the soft velvety/felt-like fabric covering (not really sure what it is), and it covers the whole board, back and front to protect any wood tables you may have it on. The covering is also great and kept the pieces from sliding around when we had to move it (I did not turn it on it s side, I did have to tilt it some though). I foresee my family and I getting a lot of use out of it. Oh, the cover that comes with it great as well to cover the pieces when not actually using the board. 5Worth the investment!I don't write many product reviews, but I have to rave about this item. If you're tired of hunching over a table when you do puzzles and you have trouble keeping completed portions safe from puzzle "helpers" (pets and people alike), you should get the Jigboard STAT!Pro: the board. The felt surface and raised edge around the outside of the Jigboard keep loose pieces and completed sections in place, even if the board isn't laying completely flat. Better yet, if your work area is a shared space, you can easily pick up and move the Jigboard to another spot. Although the board is very large - a 1,000 piece puzzle fits with room to spare - it is light enough for me to hold it on my lap.Pro: the cover. There is a cover that lays within the raised-edge borders for protection when you are not using it. The cover fills the Jigboard so that curious pets can't get their paws in there and take it off. One side of the cover is felt like the board and the other side is a slick "plastic". When I need to transfer my puzzle off the Jigboard, I just put the cover over the finished work, flip the whole Jigboard over, and slide the puzzle off the cover to its permanent home.ONE con: The only negative comment I have is that the felt material collects fuzzies and puzzle dust. However, a quick wipe down and/or shake outside will probably get rid of these! 5Board makes puzzles fun and easy to cover/put away!We starting working on puzzles while watching TV. This puzzle board works really well. We place it on our coffee table and the felt backing does not scratch the table. The cover works great if we want to play a board game on top of it, or for safely storing the puzzle when company comes over. We recently did a puzzle that was 1" wider than the board, but after, realized we could have turned the board over to the flat side without the rim and it would have fit. Very happy with the purchase. We would recommend it. 5Wonderful product for puzzlers!Wonderful for keeping all puzzle pieces on the table. It has a raised edge and the surface is great; you can move things around but pieces don't slip off. It also has an extra sheet of the same material to put over an unfinished puzzle to keep everything in place until you are ready to continue. You can move the entire board if you wan tto do your puzzle while sitting in your easy chair or sitting up in bed.. 5Solution for doing puzzles in a small house. This puzzle board is worth the money. I love to work on puzzles but I live in a small house with kids and a dog so finding a place to work on a puzzle out of the way is impossible. I use to set up a card table in the garage with a space heater. The size of this board is better then the card table, I can move it from room to room and work on my puzzle anywhere. My favorite is sitting in bed with a drink next to my sweetie while he watches TV. I can turn the board any direction without having to get up and move. Sometimes I prop it on a pillow so the board is angled towards me. There is a lip around the board so pieces can't fall off, the material keeps the pieces from easily sliding off, but still easy enough to move around the board. I keep the cover on it when I'm not working on it. It keeps my kids hands from playing with the pieces and if the dog gets on it the pieces are less likely to get lost. 5Awesome Puzzle board, great for larger puzzlesI love to build puzzles and this product is much better than the roll up kinds. Noticed that the roll up kinds cause the puzzle to come loose and I had to set heavy objects on top of the puzzle to flatten them again after unrolling. However, the roll up kind takes up a lot less room. With this board, it is easily big enough for any 1,000 piece puzzle or even a little bigger. The nice thing about a 1,000 piece puzzle or less, is there is plenty of space on the sides to sort. It comes with a cover that protects the puzzles from curious cats or children. However, it is a bit big and you have to keep it flat and cannot store in a small location. Perfect for under a bed or in my case, on my Laundry room folding table.I keep a blanket folded in half on top of the cover, as my cats like to lay on the cover of the board and their little claws put holes in the cover. That stopped them from ruining the puzzle board cover. Another thing that was somewhat challenging was removing the puzzle from the board in one piece so I can build another puzzle on it, without destroying the finished puzzle. Since there are edges on all sides, you cannot simply slide the finished puzzle off. I ended up getting a long piece of cardboard and had me and my daughter hold firmly on each side of the board, with the cardboard on top of the puzzle, and flipped it over onto a table. Because the puzzle was upside down, I realized too late that it was not the best idea. I ended up having to get a second piece of cardboard to have a piece on either side of the puzzle, and again flipped it over so the puzzle was right side up.I think with my next puzzle, it will be easier to get the puzzle out by getting some poster board and cutting so it is barley smaller than the inside edges of the board, and try to slide the poster board under the puzzle. This way I don't have to try the flip twice method I used on my first puzzle. In any regards, I highly recommend this to anybody that loves to build puzzles and needs to have a way of storing the puzzle without the pieces coming loose, etc. The only reason I gave it just 4 instead of 5 stars, is cause it is so big and if you lack a large enough space to store it flat and out of the way, you will have problems keeping your un-finished puzzles in one piece and at the same time, out of the way. However, if you have the space, say under your bed, I would say this is for you. It is by far the best un-finished puzzle board I have ever had! 4Does not fit 1500 piece puzzlesThis is a good puzzle board - it's solid, with a smooth felt backing and a nice cover. The problem with it is that it will not hold a 1500 piece puzzle as advertised. The seller/manufacturer claims that it's "Suitable for most puzzles up to 1,500 pieces - up to 36 inches x 26 inches." However, I put together a 1500 piece puzzle that was 26x32, and it hangs off the edge. See pictures. 2
