Description

  • PROMOTES GOOD HABITS THROUGH POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT - For years parenting books have been stressing the benefits of motivating children to engage in positive actions rather than trying to control their behavior. The "I Can Do It!" Token Board brings this lesson to life, providing an easy and productive approach to any particular task.
  • PERFECT FOR FOCUSING ON SPECIFIC TASK - The "I Can Do It!" Token Board is our most versatile chart because it allows you to focus on whichever specific task, behavior, or goal you'd like your child to improve. The chart is fully compatible with dry erase markers. There's a place for your child's name, goal, and five star-rewards boxes. It also works with most Autism picture programs.
  • FOR LONG TERM AND SHORT TERM GOALS - Applicable for big-picture and small-picture issues, this reward system is versatile. It can help your child sit still at the dinner table or get their homework done without complaining. It can also be used to track good deeds, exercising, booking reading, and can even be used to encourage taking medicine.
  • SIMPLE AND PRACTICAL FOR EVERYONE - The laminate board includes 8 sturdy and reusable plastic stars which attach easily to the chart. Because it can be customized and there is only one chore, it is easy for both you and your child to plot and follow their actions. Great for ages 3-10.
  • EASY TO HANG AND TRANSPORT - This chart measures 5" by 9" and features strong magnetic backing to hold it securely to any metal surface. It is great for use as a portable reward system. Encourage positive behavior even on the go, in restaurants, doctors' offices, and more!

Customer Reviews

Using it to keep my son from getting out of bed 20 times after we put him down for the night. We have been using it to keep our 3 year old from getting out of bed for water, back rubs, water, his room is scary and so on. I told him he will get a star to put on the caterpillar at night but if he gets out of bed even once his star gets taken away but once he got 5 stars he would get a new toy car. He got his star taken away 3 nights in a row but now he has 4 stars and is excited because he knows he only needs one more star to get his toy. I was looking for something that would help and this was perfect. 5IT WORKS!!!Love, LOVE, LOVE this!! This token board has been instrumental in getting my son to focus and work hard in school. The chart already has magnets on the back, so as soon as you take it out the box, it's ready to go up on your fridge! There also hooks for other surfaces. For set-up, you will have put the Velcro on the back of the stars, but that is it. What is great about Velcro is that you don't have to worry about them falling off or sliding around like magnets. Stickers need to be repositionable. So, Velcro really is the way to go. Using a dry erase marker, there's a spot for your child's name, the behavior you are working on and the reward for when that goal is accomplished. There are five spots on the caterpillar.Just idea of how beneficial this has been He was young 5 in September so we decided to put him Pre-K instead of Kindergarten. While he attended Pre-School, all he wants to do is play; however, the Pre-K he goes to operates more like a play-based Kindergarten and Kindergarten next year will basically be 1st grade. So, he has academic structure at points within his day, but because he just wants to play, he was refusing to do his work and making negative choices. His teacher recommended an incentive at home to get him excited and focused. So, I found this, and after about a month, it's clicked and he's been on a roll. My son has a separate chart that his teacher fills out as they move throughout their day. I review it and if he has all green checks, he gets a star. If there was a problem, no star. After five stars, he has earned his reward. It took about 3 weeks for him to really understand the importance and significance of the chart, but now a month in, he has earned two rewards. I keep the rewards small like $5-$10 prizes. A bath toy or fun, smelly markers You can choose something else like a trip to the library or museum. Or a special dessert after dinner that night. Whatever works best for you and your family, but at the end of the day the most important thing is that IT WORKS!!! 5Best $7 I ever spentThis works great! I have a spirited/high needs toddler and we had issues with defiance and not listening. At 4 years old, time outs, 1,2,3, and taking things away/negative consequences did not work at all and I realized I needed to work harder on positively reinforcing the good behaviors. I am SO happy with this purchase. When she gets to 5 stars she gets a small prize (like from the dollar store). If she does a good job with the goal she gets a star. If she doesn t do a great job, then afterva warning, we take a star away. Ever since we got this 3 days ago we haven t had to take away a single star because she is so motivated and loves seeing her good behaviors in a visual way. Best $7 I ever spent. 5Adorable and Exciting for a 3 year old!I bought this as a way to encourage my daughter to be a good listener. When she collects all five stars, she gets an ice cream sundae or something else she chooses. She LOVES putting the stars on. I keep mine on the fridge at her level so she can add the stars when she earns one. 5VERY SMALLThis is the size of a book mark. Only about 5" long. Not what I had hoped at all. 1I was amazed that something as simple as this product helped solve ...I have two grandchildren, ages 5 and 8, that wet the bed and nothing we ve tried worked. Until, I bought this product that motivated them to stay dry at night. When they are dry, they are excited to place the gold star in its place until they reach five. I was amazed that something as simple as this product helped solve such a complicated matter. 5Best idea everMy son loves this, it is not too complicated for either of us. We saw an immediate shift in behavior. I wish I had ordered three so each of my sons had one. 5Perfect reward chart for potty training! My toddler had gotten too obsessed with rewards when we gave her one after every potty. Actually the big issue was when she would try to go potty but nothing would happen and she didn t get a reward. I switched to this chart in hopes that building up to a reward would reduce the meltdowns and it totally did!! This is easy to use on the fridge and worked great for us. 5Very flexible reinforcer! This little set is very useful and flexible for reinforcing behaviors or skills you are trying to develop in your child. We have used it with my granddaughter for potty training, teeth brushing, following through on directions, and it's been an easy, fun and motivating way to help her. She loves getting the stars out of the bag and putting them on the chart as she earns them ( we usually give a small food reinforcer-5 m&ms when she fills the chart.) It's not bug, and very simple, which might not be for everyone's purpose, but it has worked out well for us. 4Love the idea!I am a speech-language pathologist and needed a chart to help kids visualize the First work, then reward idea. This works perfectly and my kids LOVE that it is a caterpillar. It was easy assembling the Velcro stars and ha s kept-up well. I have a magnetic chalkboard in my room and keep it on there since it is magnetic itself! 5
