    Very cute set!I LOVE this set! I have purchased other LR sets and this healthy breakfast set makes a great addition to my son's other sets. All of the pieces are high quality and perfectly sized for little hands. WORTH THE MONEY! This is the kind of play food that will last for years! I have purchased toy food for my oldest kids ages 19 and 21 down to my youngest son age 3. I am astonished at the quality and realism of today's toy foods.This set is plastic, but I must say, it is a solid thick plastic that does not bend, crease, or fold. I have purchased many other learning resource sets on account of this top quality. I like too, that the foods are healthy choices and easily recognizable. My son knows the tomato, carrots, and chicken. He is learning what the asparagus and salmon is, but that is great. I find this an excellent way to introduce other foods to my child he might not ever have in our home.The bowl is high quality as well. I have put it my dishwasher (top rack) after he used it with real food. The basket is a solid construction. I am using it for other purposes around the house! You cannot go wrong. 5Exceptional!My two year old son absolutely loves playing with pretend food, and we have found all learning resource play food to be the highest quality.The construction of each piece is sturdy, and you can tell when you hold each item that there is a density to it that rivals all other play food. In addition, each piece includes subtle details that give the food a realistic look, which makes it easy for children to know exactly what the item is.I have found that learning resource food typically cost a little bit more; however, because of the solid construction, the food will hold up far longer than competitive companies. 5I love the materials used for these toy foodsMan, I am so impressed by these! Attached are 3 photos with all the foods. I know this has been an issue for many, wondering exactly what comes with it. My only disappointment was that I thought the dinner basket would be the one that had the steak in it as well. Anyway, my daughter loved them because we eat healthy and her grandmother "only bought bad food" (ice cream and cookies) lol. She was ecstatic when she saw them under her kitchen as a surprise. They're made out of a soft plastic. Not the glossy kind. He currently has a large kitchen set in our kitchen to keep him somewhat occupied when I'm cooking. We figured adding food items to the cupboards or refrigerator in his set will keep him entertained for longer periods of time. Right now my son enjoys inspecting each piece and putting them away back in the basket. He also really seems to enjoy walking around the house with the basket on his head when he's had too much sugar...The individual pieces themselves appear to be high quality, the plastic seems sturdy and each piece has lots of details. There are small pieces that have painted details, the paint itself does not appear to be cheap and I don't think it will just crack and chip off. The items did have a plastic smell when I first took everything out of the box but by the next day I couldn't smell it anymore.I subtracted one star because Learning Resources is very vague in regard to what exactly their products are made of. The packaging itself only states its "non-toxic" which really could mean anything because many plastics that are eligible to be labeled as "non toxic" have unknown long term exposure consequences. Learning Resources states these are made of PVC and polyethylene. 4Pretty good deal for 3 basketsThis is extremely cute and good quality. We bought it for our 2 year old daughter and I can't wait to give it to her. The pieces are a heavy plasticy/rubbery feel and the baskets are great. I wish a plate or two were provided with a couple utensils, but we can just use the other play sets we have. I added the contents of this basket in the picture as there have been many questions on what this particular set includes. 4Simply AMAZING quality - your child will adore this set!Wow we were really blown away by the quality of this set! This is not your generic play food set, this is so much better! This was our first purchase from Learning Resources and we absolutely love it. My (almost) 3-year-old is utterly obsessed! Judging by the quality of this set (again, impressive), I'm sure we'll be life-long fans of this company's products. So that being said, here are a few things about this item that I love:1) They have varying textures/weights/materials for different foods. Sounds odd but trust me, it's so cool. For ex - blueberries are shiny and raspberries are matte. Some items are flexible; others, like the apple & strawberry are more lightweight and give a tiny bit under firm pressure (meaning they're soft, with a foam-like texture); the pretzels & carrot feel quite firm and are solid/heavy. Interesting variation. Colors are very nice too! Colorful and vibrant but not obnoxiously bright. Colors are quite accurate.2) Great detail! (Please see pics)3) They all have a nice weight to them and aren't hollow. (Except the bread is kinda hollow but still has a nice weight to it.) BONUS - the basket has really nice handles! Not all filmsy and cheap. Feels nice to hold.4) I can tell it'll hold up. Other cheap thin plastic play food sets will get dented or crushed (if your child is particularly strong like mine) but nope not these, they're built to last it appears. :)Cons? None really..1) Minor chemical smell that dissipated after I washed all items off with a damp cloth, as directed on the packaging.***note: I wish this company made some vegan friendly food sets since I struggled to find one that reflects our family's diet (not containing meat, dairy or eggs.) He still plays with the food on a daily basis, and they have held up great through pretend eating (which turns into biting) and the dog running off with something every now and again. I was looking for a kid's food set that contained foods close to his healthy diet (vs. junk/fast food), which is hard to find. Some of the foods are hard plastic, which others (like the berries) are soft plastic a squish upon my nephew trying to eat them. The baskets can nest, which makes for easy clean up. Below I listed what each basket contains:11 Pieces of Health Breakfast: basket, banana, berry cluster, cantaloupe, grapefruit, apple, 2 eggs, mini bagel, yogurt, bowl of oatmeal with blueberries.15 Pieces of Health Lunch: basket, bowl, turkey slice, lettuce leaf, tomato slice, 2 pretzels, 2 slices of wheat bread, yogurt, strawberry, red apple, blue berry cluster, red berry cluster and carrot.14 Pieces of Healthy Dinner: basket, grilled chicken, grilled salmon, sweet potato, asparagus bundle, bowl, 3 pieces of lettuce, tomato slice, cucumber slice, 3 carrot crinkles. 5
