    Could have been better, if only they had left the mold alone.I had purchased this set because I own the older version and was excited for the fun new colors.HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!1. Cones are so much smaller. The older set were just the perfect size for our little hands.2. Much thinner than the other set3. Ice cream DOES NOT STAY ON the cones. (Biggest Disappointment) You have to hold them upright or they fall off. The other set I own, the cone pops into a groove on the ice cream.Such a bummer for as cool as this set WAS. I always gifted these, but not any longer. 2Not a fan of this product - poor design.I have to say, this is the first product from Learning Resources that I haven't been super impressed with. The colors, sizes and shapes are great BUT the ice cream tops don't really stay on top of the cone and you certainly cannot stack multiple colors on them and have them stay. All the other play food products I've purchased from Learning Resources have been high quality and fantastic - definitely some of the best products on the market. 2Great product to use as a reward system when teachingI teach English online to students in China through a one-on-one program. I purchased this ice cream set as a "reward" system for my students, and they love it! The younger ones like to pretend to lick the ice cream and it helps reinforce their numbers as we count how many scoops they have. When I do a unit on colors, the ice cream helps reinforce the colors as they learn them. Because it comes with two cones, I am able to use it to reinforce positive behavior. When a student does not follow instructions, they know I will take one ice cream from them to give to myself. They love watching me compare the two cones (mine is almost always empty), and they laugh when I "cry" and don't get any ice cream. It has been a life saver for some students and it really keeps them focused and engaged.The product is also sturdy. While the cones are a little on the smaller side and harder for adult hands to hold, it makes for comedy when the scoops fall off and scatter and I have to dive for them. I think this also builds rapport with my students. Well worth every penny spent. 5OkayI normally like Learning Resources but these did not stack so well. They don't stay on the cone very easy, and it's a balancing act to play with them. I got them because my son enjoyed the Melissa and Doug velcro ones and I thought these would be better. But otherwise the colors and texture are fun. They feel a bit rubbery. It would be better if the base (cone) were more solid. The cones are very small. 4Wobbly but funI'm a HUGE fan of this brand and will only buy this play food (after hours of initial research and now having used the products). These ice cream cones are no different. Great quality and fun for practicing counting and colors. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the cones don't fit snugly into the ice cream scoops, so there's not much stability when you start stacking and they just fall off as soon as you try to pick them up or move them. Still, a great addition to our play kitchen collection! 4Quality, Sturdy, Soft Feel Color Cones!We have the newer set of these color cones and have had zero issues with them staying on the cones....even stacked high! There is a slight learning curve as the cones sort of snap into the first scoop part, but nothing my 20month old and 4 year old couldn t figure out. I suggest showing them a few times first, but maybe this is obvious to a Mom like me. Needless to say, these are quality, sturdy and solid rubbery material as come to know from Lesrning Resources! Very realistic too! They will be passed down for sure! 5Nice colorsThe ice creams are a nice vibrant color and size for a toddler (my son is 2.5), however the cones are small and don't hold the ice creams very well. It's hard to keep the cone inside the ice cream and when more ice creams are added on top, the whole things falls over, which is very frustrating for a toddler. When I taught Sunday School a few years ago, they had a similar set and the cones were much bigger and much sturdier...I wish I could find those. 3I'd skip itCute, but a little boring. Good for learning colors, although the purple is more of a pinky fuchsia which is a little confusing. Also, the cones are a little small for gripping and the ice cream is constantly falling off. There is nothing to hold it on. 3not what I was hoping for but kids will find a different way to playSo disappointed. My kids love these in their preschool classes so i ordered them for home too. They're very different than the older ones and quite literally crap. They don't stay on top of the cone like the old ones so now my 3 year old is screaming because she can't do it like she can at school and is now very frustrated. I gave two stars bc the material is great and the colors are fun/bright. I gave the kids small bowls and an ice cream container so their play isn't completely ruined. 2Great reward for my ESL students!I teach English to kids in China over the internet. I got this item to use as a visual reward for them and they love it! They get to choose the colors of their scoops and they giggle when I pretend the scoops are falling as they grow taller. 5
