Five StarsPerfect size. My two year old loves it 5Love this bargainI LOVE this! My 1 year old is obsessed with magnets so I got him this to use with other magnets I have. I am saving the magnets, eraser, chalk, and marker that came with this until he is at least 2. The reason this product is recommended for 3+ is because these accessories are definitely choking hazards. The good news is you can just save them and use the board and stand from pretty much any age! The only downside is there was a sticker on the board that left residue when removed, and the chalkboard side is very cheap. Still I highly recommend this! 5Five StarsPerfect for road trips! 5It travels fine, which is why we purchased this itemIf you can get this at half price, it's ok. It travels fine, which is why we purchased this item. The white board does not easily erase with the provided eraser, nor with water and a clean rag. The black board doesn't easily erase either. The magnets are ok, but the number does make you think that there will be more magnet "things" (animals, people, plants, vehicles, etc). But some of these magnets are separate heads, bodies, legs, ... of animals and other creatures. A little tough for a preschool kid to comprehend and enjoy playing. There are higher quality magnet activities that come with patters (such as Mindware Imagination Magnets), but they are more expensive. This worked fine for us for quick car or plane travel, but I wouldn't give this as a quality gift. 3Eh. Pass.This was a pretty lame purchase. It s cheaply made, some of the magnets are tiny and a choking hazard, and the box started falling apart after a week of light use. I got this for my cousin's little girl for her birthday and it was a big hit.The pieces are well built to withstand the use of a child. The magnets are well colored and have nice detail. She is now 2 years old and started to figure out the name of different animals and colors. We are going to use it for a long drive to Florida. I wanted to avoid using the Kindle the entire ride. This allows her to use her imagination. I added a piece of felt and created velcro letters as well because I couldn't find magnetic letters. 5Great and wonderful set!!I was skeptical about this set but it is wonderful!! I really just wanted the magnet side and do not plan on using the chalk board side-which is not magnetized- or the dry erase markers. I love the animals and that I can use the magnets that I already have (alphabet magnets and other animal). Both my 3-year-old and 9 month old love playing with this!! I do wish it had a handle but I knew it did not when I purchased plus I think I can easily add one. I would order another set if sharing becomes a problem and I would recommend this product. 5Weird magnets and unfinished woodIt's a cute idea, but (1) the magnets are weird. Like separate pieces to build a cow (head, body, limbs, hooves), but the cow is standing upright. So it's odd finding a cow torso or leg. (2) Also the box is made of unfinished wood. I'm worried my daughter will catch a splinter. (3) The lid has no way of closing. It just lays on top of the box, so you have to keep the packaging in order to keep everything together. (4) Finally, the dry erase marker doesn't erase well; it leaves residue. With all that said, it still entertains my 20-mo-old. Good idea, so-so execution. 2
