Love the soft material and magnetic pacifier is much easier than other dolls that you need to insert into mouth. Black hair does pick up lots of lint & dog hair. Learned this after opening it for Christmas at Grandma's house with a yellow lab, but lint roller solved the problem quickly. Cute and cuddly. Just what we were hoping for in a first doll 5Love it!My nine month daughter loves it! Its the perfect size for her to carry along and fits perfectly on the small stroller. We bought this one for my younger daughter s first birthday because our older daughter had loved hers. She is soft and cuddly, the perfect first doll. The reason I gave this particular Baby Stella 4 stars instead of 5 is because it says Brunette . I think of brunette as brown hair. This doll does not have dark brown hair. This doll has black hair. I wanted brown hair for my brown haired baby. So don t buy this particular one if you want a brown haired doll. 4Child loves it, pacifier is annoying and possibly dangerousOur child selected this doll from a photo and loves it. She likes hat the doll smiling and happy and she s right - many dolls are not! She rejected several more lifelike dolls, but kept asking for one and we finally found one she loves.The only downsides from my point of view is that the hair is microsuede strips and not stylable or brushable, and the bows and pigtails are not all that secure so we ve had to repair her hairdo a bit. The pacifier is annoying - we never used one for our child so she doesn t even know what they are, and it looks like a choking hazard to me. We threw away that part. Also as others mentioned the hair is black not brown, but we could see that in the photo and don t care.The doll is soft and cuddly and looks to be reasonably washable though we haven t had to yet. 4Daughters loves Stella. Hair is black, not brown. Doll can't sit.My daughter LOVES her Stella doll so much that we had to buy a second one so I could secretly rotate them while one is in the wash. My only issue is that the doll's legs are filled through the hip so you can't make her sit. This may not matter to some kids but my daughter is obsessed with making Stella sit next to her (toddlers ). Also her hair is definitely NOT brunette. I assumed it wasn't because the picture looks black, not brown but I just wanted to confirm for people. 5Finally a soft baby that looks Asian!I have a Chinese daughter and it's hard to find Asian dolls that are not super expensive. The paci is super fun too! 5with my normal Free and Clear detergent-- and it did great. I did not dry itThis is our second Baby Stella doll. We bought out first one 3 years ago for our daughter, and just bought this one for our second daughter. Baby Stella dolls hold up really well and the pacifier holds up well, too! I have washed the Stella doll-- on gentle, cold, with my normal Free and Clear detergent-- and it did great. I did not dry it. It took a couple days to fully dry, but the ability to wash it is crucial with kids. I do not know if they recommend washing it or not, but I had to after a stomach bug and it did great. We are excited to have an additional Stella doll in the house. I would highly recommend this product. 5Sweet!What an adorable dolly! She is so soft and cuddly, much better for a toddler than a hard plastic doll. She is well made and a perfect first doll for a little girl.I just want to update my review now 5 months later- my granddaughter just loves her "baby". She hauls her everywhere and gives her hugs and kisses. This is the only Christmas gift she still plays with every day. 5Fun and light and cute!We have been happy with our baby stella. We bought it for our daughter as she turned one, as her first baby doll. She's not very interested in it yet, honestly. She still prefers books and her pacifiers as her favorite objects. But I think Baby Stella will grow on her. When we say "Baby Stella," she looks in her direction. So at least there is recognition. The hair is black (not brown) but it's cute. I wish the initial doll came with an optional warmer layer. Our house is super cold right now in the middle of winter and her little pink dress looks silly and out of season. We even bought an additional two outfits for her, but neither of those are particularly warm and cozy either. Not that our baby is bothered by this; it's just something I think about! :-) 5Safety issue with product. Small Magnets involved. could pose problemsMy daughter gave me doll and accessories back. She opened doll and was VERY CONCERNED. The fabric pacifier adheres to doll by magnet. I thought it was velcro'd. My daughter felt that the magnet would work it's way out from mouth and especially out from pacifier as both are not embedded deep into fabric and stuffing. she was afraid fabric could RIP and expose magnet and her child would swallow it. I would like money back for purchase but while I have box, it has been opened. 1
