    Surprisingly DisappointingIt's bright and soft, but has very little to offer as for textures and sounds. It really is a completely spineless, shapeless pile of colorful fabric, kind of a mess, and the kid has trouble flipping "pages" even with my help. Despite the size and colors my 8 months old did not like the book much at all. We play with the bee sometimes, but it's a very short lasting experience. Ended up buying Peekaboo Dumbo to replace much loved but worn out The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and it worked out so much better. I like Manhattan toys, but this one is so far our least favorite. 3Start your kids reading!!bought this for a friend's baby. It was really well done. Lots of different textures, activities, bright colors, soft moving parts (all securely tethered so baby won't swallow or lose). This is an excellent first book for baby. Would definitely recommend. (Do kids READ anymore?!!?!) 5Fun & interactive bookBaby loves it. It folds or rolls up small for taking on trips. I love how interactive it is, almost like a busy book but without little pieces that might get lost. 5Cute and durableCute my 12m old might be just a lil to young for it but it held his attention for a few mins. 5Very bright and cheerfulVery nice book. The best part is the interactive bunny that can jump through a hole from one page to another, although I wish the string attaching the bunny was a little longer. There is a lot of texture and pieces to move back and forth, including a dragonfly on the exterior handle and the ears to the sheep on the front.Some of the pages are a little boring though and do not compete with the adjacent page for my 10 month old's attention. So, some pages do not get played with as much.I Also liked the page with the birds in the nest. I pop them up from their nest, make them dance around and put them to back to bed. It is quite cute. I think this page could have been a little more creative in how they designed it, but it still works.All in all, I think it is a successful book. It is brighter and has more things going on than most. I would definitely recommend it to friends. 4So cute!My grandson LOVED this book! He is one and loves dogs. 5Nice Cloth Book for BabyThis book is so cute and has so many great textures for baby to feel and lots of bright colors to attract baby's eyes. I love that it has a little rhyming story to it - just short enough to hold my 6 month old's attention. I wish the book had a little more structure to it. It is a soft cloth book, but if it had a little bit of piping around the edges or was made of a thicker fabric, it would be a little easier to turn the pages. 4Color fadeI washed this book in cold water in our washer on delicate cycle. Not to label directions. Who makes a cloth book that you can't wash thoroughly, that your child will drool, chew and drop on the ground? I was appalled to see how faded the book became once it air dried. My child was sucking on the corner of that book. How much dye was she ingesting? What other substances/chemicals were in the books pages? I am not pleased with this and will not buy Manhattan Toy cloth books in the future. 2Great colors and well made!Great colors and well made!
