Discs fall off easily. Very thin materials.I was disappointed in this. The pieces are made of really thin plastic and the weight of it is similar to cardboard. The pieces are attached to each other with nice thick quality ribbon and the patterns are nice; my daughter seems to enjoy looking at it when in her stroller, but now its all sad and lop-sided looking because we have already lost 3 of the plastic pieces (we've had it for only 3 months). Not because my daughter has pulled on it, but because when the breeze hits it, the bottom horizontal discs turn and then slip off the vertical discs. I know its supposed to come apart so you can flip the cards for a different pattern, but they have to figure out a better way to attach them. 2I like that you can change the discs around too My 7 week old loves this toy! She actually looks at it and tries to bat at it. It keeps her focused more than any other toy we have! I like that you can change the discs around too! Plus the mobile s designed to hang straight or work on an angle and the clip works well on her toy bar, car seat and bouncy seat! 5Perfect for under 5 months!This was definitely in my top 5 favorite toys for newborns! My son loved to stare at the black and white patterns and shapes. We regularly used it in the car, stroller and on flights.We stopped using it as much around 5.5 months because my son was strong enough and mostly interested in pulling off the little discs rather than just looking at the mobile. At that point, his new favorite toy became crinkle/soft books. I've linked our favorite one here. Maybe i did not read about the product well but I was surprised that it was made of paper. I thought it would be metal or like a real mobile. The clip is strong and durable. The designs are baby friendly, and it is light weight (because it is made of paper). I think it is made of paper for safety reasons since it usually hangs so close to the baby like on a stroller, or activity gym etc, and the baby can reach and touch it. It is also easy to carry around - you can unclip it, fold it nicely and take it with you anywhere (something you can't do with a mobile). So yes, I do like it, but I have not tried it that many times yet (just twice) to know how the baby will like it. I am reviewing the product and will update my review based on the baby's reaction/usage. 4My baby is in love!My 3-month old loves this mobile. She especially loves the black-and-white image of the face--she is truly captivated by it. She smiles and laughs and sighs and babbles whenever she sees it, and will stare at it (the face, especially) for a LONG time. She likes to gaze directly at it, and she gets kind of upset when the face is upside down, so we have to make sure the face is gazing and smiling back at her! We jokingly call the image her boyfriend. :-D It's hard to tear her away from it when it's naptime. I love that the mobile is portable. It has a great wide clip that you can attach to pretty much anything. We've been clipping it to the top of her play gym (the Lovevery gym, which we also love!), and it works great there. Some of the negative reviews here mention that the mobile is made out of paper, but it's more of a lightweight plastic. It's definitely coated/protected (and for that reason, quite durable), and the lightweight quality is purposeful, since it's a mobile (duh)--it's supposed to move with the air current and the lightness also makes it more portable/packable. 5This was a great little toy for when my son was small - ...This was a great little toy for when my son was small - we used it until he was about 5 months old and now we have it slipped to a shelf in his nursery.We used to clip it onto his carseat bucket or stroller during walks or errands, or onto the bars of his activity mat. He loved watching it spin, and grabbing for the pictures. Once he got a bit bigger and was able to grab it he was able to rip the discs off, but they are designed to be able to go back on easily and were quite durable enough to handle him trying to eat them. 5One of our favorite toysMy baby seemed to be interested in this mobile from about 1 month. She was staring at it continuously. It isn't made with paper or cardboard which some reviews state, but with thin flexible plastic. It won't fall apart if gets wet, but it won't survive chewing or crumpling as it's not designed for that.Upd. 5 mo and she is still interested in this toy. It works great in the car seat (she hates being there and I'm happy that something can distract her for a while. She has figured out how to take off the lowest circles lately and chews on them. It's one of the few purchases that I've made prior to our son's birth that I don't regret. 5DO NOT BUY!! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!Just received the Mobile to Go today. What a disappointment!! Do NOT base your decision to purchase this product based on the 619 4 1/2 star reviews. It is JUNK! The pieces are made from the same material used to make playing cards. Yes, the description calls the pieces cards, but I expected them to be plastic cards not paper cards. The top hanging pieces are connected by ribbon to the main part which is nice. But, the lower hanging pieces have slots cut into them and are connected by tabs that are on one edge of the top hanging pieces. I know they re done this way so the pieces can be reversed, but in today s world, there are a thousand better ways they could have designed this. My daughter is expecting her first child, and I bought this mobile to give as a gift. She will not be receiving it. I bought this during a lightening deal and luckily didn t pay full price. I expected much better from a company like The Manhattan Toy Company. They should be embarrassed to have their name on this product. 1Three week old captivated by itMy baby is three weeks old today. He spends a lot of time just staring into space in his pack and play, which seems like a waste of his awake time, but he is not interested in the toys I have. I have a floor mat I lay him on with dangling things, but he is not interested. I took a chance on this mobile, even though it looked lame. He LOVES it. He stared at it for over twenty minutes last night. Right now he's been looking at it for almost an hour while I took a shower and ate breakfast. I feel better about putting him in his rock and play since he has something to look at. It's pretty simple, but he is totally, inexplicably, into it. Worth every penny. 5
