    Well madeThis is a fun game. I wish it was available in a larger size as small marbles easily roll away and are sometimes difficult to manage. However, I will make a wonderful gift for the Grandchildren. 4Simple but difficult. Fun game.We played this game about 10 times already, but we still have not won. It is difficult to win. It is simple to play and fun. It is very challenging trying to empty the entire board except for a remaining marble in the central hole.This game is well worth the 18 dollars. For 18 bucks, you get a really nice thick wood board, nice shiny black marbles and a black pouch for storage of the marbles. The game is made in the USA and the high quality is obvious. Recommend to anyone. 5Brain teaserBought this for my son. While it's not as exciting as electronic toys, it is a definite keeper. The kids love to take turns trying to have the fewest marbles. We often change-up the rules. Sometimes we play to leave the most marbles. Sometimes we play one-on-one trying to leave the other person without a move to make. It is a lot of fun. I love it because it really makes the kids think and it forces them to think several moves ahead. My kids are 7 and 8. The wood is nice quality for the price. I was expecting something with a more "rustic" finish. Definitely a two-thumbs-up toy. 4Like All Great Games, Easy to Learn, Hard to MasterA wonderful, simple, addictive game! The premise is simple: remove all the marbles from the board by hopping over each marble into an open space (like checkers) until you can't make any more moves. The goal is to end with just a single marble left, and if you're really good, that single marble in the center hole. (I'm not there yet.) It's great to have sitting on a table (in a small-kid free house--lots of marbles) and just play at any time, for a minute or an hour. Very relaxing.I love that the board is made in the USA. This take on the classic game of Marble Solitaire is both beautiful to put on one's coffee table, but also fun to play on one's own. It's very fun to challenge oneself to see how few marbles can be left on the board. I still have a ways to go in terms of mastering this game, as so far my personal best is only four left. What's also fun is that one can play an entire game or if one has a busy day they can go back and forth, as it's impossible to forget where one last left off in this type of game. Now I'm 58 years old and bought it again. This a fun brain teaser that entertains me while my husband watches sports on TV or while TV commercials are on, while I'm watching a movie.Marble solitaire or solitaire chess is a strategy game in which a player attempts to rid the game board of marbles by jumping pieces into empty spaces and removing jumped marbles, similar to jumping pieces in checkers. The ultimate goal of the game is to be left with one remaining marble in the game board's center space.This wood solitaire board unlike a smaller version I previously bought has the right size. It's made out of solid wood and the holes for the marbles are placed far enough from each other so when you make a play your fingers won't bump the marbles next to the one you are moving and evidently won't fall out. Even if occasionally they happen to slip out of your fingers they will roll and land on a groove that surrounds the game board. Also, this version of solitaire chess has 4 more holes (and therefore 4 more marbles) on the corners and that makes it even more interesting to play with given the difficult level.I leave it on my coffee table so that anyone passing by can give it a go.It's a quick game for some immediate gratification. 5Coffee table gameBought this as a present. It's the perfect little coffee table game. It's a simple game with little explanation and guests enjoy trying to beat each others scores. Nice elegant solid wood with instructions on the back.
