    Expected MoreOur grandchildren were quite excited by this toy and really enjoyed launching their missles. I had high hopes that Marky Sparky was going to be durable and last a while. After an hour or two of play, the air tank split at the seam near the hose. We do have a large group of grandkids ranging in age from 3 to 14 and this toy is supposed to be for 8 yrs and up. Would love to get a more sturdy air tank so the kids can have some more fun with this but at $30. a pop, this is more that I want to spend for an hour or so of play time. 5They both love it! It's very simple to set upI got this for my 5 yr old grandson & 3 yr old granddaughter. They both love it! It's very simple to set up. It appears to be reasonably well made, with no obvious weak points. The self-storing base is very nice, and I think it will keep the parts and hose from getting broken. The base makes the launcher very stable. The missiles will blow around on a windy day, possibly winding up on the roof. So get some extra missiles. (They did come down off the roof in the next big rain.) 5Forget the electronics! Excellent old-fashioned play!My two grandsons ages six and seven are visiting for the summer. I had purchased Legos, but wanted something the boys could play with inside and out. They Marky Sparky rocket has maintain their interest and I see them laughing and having more fun then with their Legos. We have played with it in side, though my 25 foot living room ceiling is not high enough. As well as outside. The kids never stop playing with it and in venting games. A true delight to find them playing together and making up games rather than simply looking at their handheld electronics. I would rate this tops, and an old fashion really fun toy 5No blast off!I purchased this for a very strong and husky 6 year old. I know it is recommended for ages 8 and up, however, this boy is very active and strong for his age. Needless to say, the booster rockets did not make it far off the launch pad. An 8 year old tried it with similar results, and then I tried it. None of us could get the booster rocket to go much higher than 4 or 5 inches. Not sure if we are doing somerthing wrong or it is the product. Item did arrive on time and in excellent condition. 3Fun for big kids tooSaw lots of reviews for little kids, but I got this for my 13 year old brother, and he, my 11 year old sister, and I (19) had so much fun during Christmas (it was cold, but it was worth it, and you warm up by stomping on it and running around catching them). I had just gotten a C-section the week before, so I couldn't properly jump on with all my might, but I could stomp with one foot, and it was still fun. 5The boys love it!I bought this for a 4 year old for Christmas and it's a hit! His older brother, who is 9, can really send the missle high and Dad stomped it right into the trees where it got stuck but blew down later. The 4 yr old got some good height too so everybody was a winner. 5Really great present any time of year.Jeeeeeze the kids went nuts about this thing. They loved it. They each had a rocket, and took turns putting it on and stomping on it. Even the littler ones were having a blast. This is pretty much the perfect kids gift, boy or girl. No batteries, no crazy accessories, just really awesome basic physics + go-outside-and-play-ability. This was worth every penny, and even though there were other bigger fancier presents at the party, this one was the big hit. 5and he loved it! I read a review that stated to get the one with the base, and that was a great recommendation, because it makes the launcher a more complete unit, like a kit. Then you just grab the it, and go....Although we only had one missle stuck on our roof, our 4 year old can get them to go 50ft easy, and that makes a fun toy. 5Better than expected!Got this as a birthday gift, it arrived with a damaged box that looked to have been previously opened. Amazon was excellent in correcting the mistake and all ended well. This blast pad was a hit and the birthday boy loved it! I liked how the safety feature was built into the rocket launcher as some of the other kids wanted to tilt the launcher down and the holes in the tube prevented them from being able to launch it. Over-all this was a hit at the birthday. Kids had a fun time taking turns launching the plastic tube rockets into the air and jumping on the stomp pad. It was easy for them to use without a whole lot of adult supervision. However I was also surprised it survived the day as even some of the parents got into the action and were sending the rockets "SUPER" high. I think this is a great birthday gift and you can rest assured it has safety built in with the foam tip rockets and the holes in the tube if the launcher is not pointing straight up. It's also nice that the base had a handle built in and neatly stores everything in one place. Less chance of losing things in the future and I'm sure it will last a long time. 5Awesome Outside Toy!Wow, this was a HUGE hit with my grandsons! The height of the rocket is contingent on the power of the pounce - my 6 yr old could get close to 60 ft and my 2 yr old grandson would master about 4 ft - but he still loved it. No batteries needed, just human energy. :) 5
