It's a fun game. Some of the answers you have to ...It's a fun game. Some of the answers you have to be careful, because of current topics (there was one about Olympic sports and whether or not they were included in them- that's ever-changing, so a "correct" answer this year may be "incorrect" four years down the road). It has a tendency to drag a little too much, so we always play the "short" version. 4Fun Trivia gameWe've played it a couple times. Big range of questions about different topics. The directions say for two players or for two teams, We ignored that and used a different maker for three players...it went fine, not sure why they say for two. 4This is great because it required knowledge but not in the usual ...We are a competitive group which included teens and adults. This is great because it required knowledge but not in the usual trivial pursuit way. We split into teams and had great fun. Loosing doesn't make you feel bad! I was so glad I chose a great family game that we could all enjoy. Highly recommend. 5This game is very good and moves along at a nice paceThis game is very good and moves along at a nice pace. Some of the questions are definitely better than others (in terms of quality and level of difficulty), but it does get a person thinking. Sometimes the player is given a list of seven movies and has to pick which movie starred a certain actor, say Jack Nicholson, and which starred another very famous actor, say Gene Hackman. Another card might ask you to indicate which attractions (the game gives you seven) are included in the Top 5 tourist destinations in the USA for American travelers. Another card might list seven major sports stars and asks you to name which sport they play: hockey, basketball, football or baseball. The subjects vary and it's a good game to play with teams. It's a nice alternative to your traditional trivia game. 4Not quite what I was expecting.Game play is a bit strange. I was expecting something like Trvial Pursuit, but this game is made for 1 on 1 or team play. Each turn requires you to answer multiple questions in an "A or B" fashion. The questions were also a little obscure and scoring wasn't what you would expect. Probably won't be pulling this out at parties as much as I hoped to. 2Super fun and unique trivia gameI really like this game. It is very simple to learn and a lot of fun. Basically, it is a "race" trivia game. You answer 7 trivia questions from a card and move ahead a certain number of spaces depending on how many you get right. If you get zero right answers, or just a couple of right answers, you have to move back some spaces. The first person to the end of the track wins. What sets this game apart from many other trivia games, in my opinion, is the types of questions it asks. They are creative and fun. For example, some questions are "Claim to Fame" and say something like, are the following people famous authors or opera singers? Others want to know something along the lines of which product was introduced first, and then gives a list of 7 pairs of products. Some questions turn out to be very easy, some are more challenging, but all are fun and interesting. A game with only 2 players lasts about 30-45 minutes, and 4 players takes an hour or maybe a little more (depending on how well everyone does!). The suggested age is 16 and up, and that seems about right to me, although a precocious younger child may be able to do well. If you like trivia games, I highly recommend buying Matter of Fact. I think you will love it. 5Unique style trivia, pretty funThis is a fun, laid back trivia game that can be both difficult and easy. Most of the cars have only 2 options to give an answer. For example: "Who starred in these films, George Clooney or Brad Pitt?". Because of this style of trivia, players who aren't really knowledgeable in many areas (such as younger people) can partake and basically guess their way across the board. What I don't like about the question cards are some of them are ridiculously easy and some of them are ridiculously hard. An easy card example: "Who makes these cars, Toyota or Chevy?". The ridiculously hard questions often have to do with unheard of novelists, playwrights or artists that most have never even heard of.I find that most of the questions are intelligent guesses. For example: "Do these cities have more or less people than the population of Rhode Island" or "Simon and Garfunkel song or so-and-so Novel" (All of these types of questions have very obvious answers, as you can tell the difference between the name of a song and the name of a novel).Anyway, fun game but like with most has some drawbacks. I would recommend it. 4Entertaining to a pointInteresting questions, and they can be funny, and you can learn a lot -- but for a trivia game I find it disappointing, because for most questions you can make a 50/50 guess, and that's just no fun, in my book. It says 16 to adult, but for most questions younger kids could make a 50/50 guess and still feel like they're participating and contributing.Sample of 50/50 questions: "Do these metropolitan areas appear in the list of Top 25 most polluted cities in the U.S.?" There follow seven cities, and you can guess yes or no. "Do these types of dogs typically weigh more or less than a Doberman Pinscher?" There follows a list of dog breeds, and you can guess less or more. Some questions are just entertaining and can inspire laughter; for example: "Type of bread or snail/slug?" There follows a list of seven items (e.g. boule, whelk, limpet, zwieback) and you guess bread or snail/slug -- 50/50, but with a comedic bonus. Some questions are not 50/50; for example:"During which decade did these TV sitcoms debut?" There follows a list of seven sitcoms, and you can guess a decade if you don't know offhand. And there are some questions (a minority) which are not easy unless you happen to know information about that question -- as in most trivia games. For example: "In which cities will you find these professional sports teams?" There follows a list of seven teams (e.g. Cavaliers, Stars, Magic, Blues) and you must state the city.Bottom line: If you're playing with a group which includes younger children, this can be entertaining. Groups of adults may find it less so because the 50/50 guess element makes it less challenging. 3Wonderful team trivia gameI got this game on the amazon.com website. It was delivered to me quickly and I've brought it to two of my game groups. It was a smash hit both times. The game is fun, moves quickly and is easy to learn. Here's how it works:The game should be played by up to three individuals. If there's four or more players, divide up into teams. Pick a game piece color and place it on the start space on the board. You will then get a card with seven choices on it. Most cards have a 50/50 choice option - like "Were these people Vice Presidents or Explorers?" The seven names or items are then read, one at a time. Teams confer and give their answer. A good idea is to have a team captain give the official response. The more answers you get right, the more spaces you move ahead on the board. Getting all seven right moves you ahead seven spaces, but beware. If you get less than three right, you will move BACK on the board. There is a tracker scale on the board. Any game piece can be used to keep track of scoring. If you or your team gets to the finish first, you win. However, all players/teams should get an equal amount of turns, especially if other teams are seven or less spaces from the finish. They should be allowed to try to create a tie. Some cards will have a question with three or four choices but most cards give you a 50/50 shot of two choices. IMPORTANT RULE - after hearing the question, the player/team can say PASS if they don't like it. If you pass, you MUST take the next card, you cannot pass more than one card per turn. Each player or team can pass a card a maximum of TWO times for the entire game. Passed cards go in the back of the box - the other team doesn't get them. There are 240 double-sided cards for a total of 480 questions. After using the green side, use the orange side. There is no timer, but if people are taking a real long time, you may want to use a one or two minute timer from another game to keep it moving. A fun game that's challenging and not as hard as Trivial Pursuit. I highly recommend this game for your trivia or game night. 5Tough but good questions and fast playBoy oh boy. We have a Charity Game Night with friends with everyone bringing a game to be played. This one was a huge hit!! Tough but good questions and fast play. I recommend this game to any trivia fan. Fast fast service. Arrived perfect shape. 5
