    The case is really worth it!The little metal carrying case is really special. You need the case, and it is attactive when not in use. The case makes you want to take it with you on vacation, and it is perfect to play on a stormy day when you are just going to get soaked going out. And at this price, once I lost one on a trip, I just bought another. Make sure when you are buying to specify "dots" type versus "numeric" . Once version of this product has the numbers on the faces, not the pattern-recognition dots, which is a fun artistic aspect of this game. Once you get them all deployed on the table together, they are really quite beautiful! 5Consistent tiles and easy to stand upI can't believe how much I like this set. You don't have to count the pips as you can match the colors, although some are close. They are thick enough that they stand well without a rack and they are consistent thicknesses. I have read other reviews that said the tiles in their different brand set had bleeding pips or the sizes were different. None of that with this set. It feels good holding the tiles and they slide across the table easily. I really am pleased with this purchase as it was a guess when I bought them since I had not seen them. 5Arrived broken and Amazon doesn't careArrived broken. The plastic center. Pretty much the Mexican train part. Very disappointed in this product and would not recommend 1Overpriced, Cheap Crap with Non functioning sound feature!Don't waste your money!! Pay attention to the crappy reviews! I purchased this set because I wanted one that made the train sound! I ordered the score cards and domino holders as well. They arrived in a box with no padding. The dominoes were broken out of their plastic wrapping. It almost looked like I received a previously opened set. I pulled the tab out of the battery compartment and guess what! Not a sound anywhere. Moving the switch to all positions: no sound. Replacing the LR44 button batteries: no sound: This sounds strangely familiar to a review I read and should have paid attention to. I should have purchased a just as nice a set in an aluminum case for around $12 at Walmart without sound or ordered the one online from Walmart with an aluminum case and sound for $13.49! To top things off : No instructions that I have found although the product description indicates they are included. 1I had purchased another one pretty much just like it in store from WalmartThis item was everything they said it would be. I had purchased another one pretty much just like it in store from Walmart. I had to take that one back because some of the dominoes were broken and the packaging was open. After I took that one back for a refund, I found this one. It is perfect and much better quality, for about the same price, I might add. Caution though. There are two types of these from Amazon. Be sure you order the one with dots if you want dots. The other has numbers, so be careful when ordering. Also, it does not come with a score pad, so I found a picture online and copied it and printed my own. Works fine and you can make it larger if you prefer. 5Nice set / bad accessoriesThe dominoes themselves are great with easily distinguishable colors. The accessories however are not so great. The case isn't fitted, so the dominoes tumble around while carrying it. The station piece has audio that is harsh and loud; I'm not sure why anyone would use it except to annoy everyone in the room. The train & chicken pieces are standard. 3Good setDominoes are a little smaller/lighter than would prefer [like tournament style of the regular dominoes, which I like]. They aren't too skinny and have some weight in them though, because they don't just fall over all the time. May be easier to not accidentally tip one and knock all your other tiles over by using a domino tray or something similar. But these ones work well just being used without a tray- previous sets like this I've tried had not had dominoes that could even do that.Also, Mexican Train Dominoes is a great game! And the case is pretty convenient for holding it all together-- though it did arrived dented/damaged. 4If you have my missing tiles let me know perhaps we can swap.This set of dominos was incorrect. There were about twenty repeated tiles and 20 missing tiles. Although it did come with 91 tiles it was not a complete set. Also, I have an older set which has better colors for the dots on the tiles. The case is nice and the little trains are cute. 1Hub does not make the train or chicken soundWas skeptical about ordering because of some of the reviews stating that dominos were chipped and some missing. Game arrived with all the dominos and there were no chips. The only problem is we cannot figure out why the hub does not make the train or chicken sound. It came with the battery, which was protected. We removed the protection and there is no sound. 4Worth the money IF it comes complete, undamaged and made by Americans.This is the second train game we bought in the last week. The first one was from a different company. Its metal case was damaged as were numerous tiles. We sent it back. This one arrived today and also had a dent in the case. The cellophane wraps holding the tiles were ripped, but luckily the tiles were okay. This was obviously a return, which they didn't even bother to re-wrap in cellophane. After you put the dominoes nicely in the case and pick it up to travel, all the tiles move around, making it a hodge-podge of tiles. There was no score sheet included. I feel that if I spend $50 for a dominoes game, it should arrive perfect and with a score sheet pad. We're considering sending it back just because of the damaged case. It might sound petty, but if I bought it at a retailer, I'd demand a score sheet. But seeing that it came from China (as evidenced by the poor English used in the directions), what can you expect? 2
