Customer Reviews

Nice bookI'm a fan of minds are mosaic books.they help give me a break from working in my normal adult coloring books.I've done every book in the series but one.this one is an upgrade from the earlier books in the series.there are 18 pictures to work on in this book.some of the pictures fold out in the middle of the page and spread onto 2 pages. All of the pictures are printed on the front of the page. I've used crayola twistable color pencils and the crayola 50 ct supertip markers in my book.if you use markers you will need to put paper behind the page your working so it does not bleed onto the other pages.the color key is on each page. To me the newer mindware book has more detail than the older ones(like the one with the sun on the cover or the ladybug)a much helpful improvement is in the front pages.the color key for the whole book is given so you can pair it with your own art supplies. This book is lots of fun and different.it's probably good for ages 8 and up.as long as you can follow a color key your ok. 5Fun for a rainy dayGreat pictures and a lot of fun to color but very time consuming. It took days to complete one picture and I got a headache every time I colored probably from looking down at the pages for so long. My kids, however, were fine. There is an app called Sandbox that is coloring small squares like this that my kids love if you want to get an idea of what you get in this coloring book 4Uses 36 different colors!!Saw these books at a gas station while on a family trip. So I hopped on here and got them for cheaper. Good quality paper and large squares for coloring. Some pages even fold out! At the top of each sheet it tells you which color shades you'll need. There are a lot of them! Make sure you get a large variety or it can be boring. 5Love! But Not For Little OnesThis book is amazing. I got this for my 7 yr old daughter. Honestly, she is not that into it. I think I should have waited until she was a little older. It just doesn't hold her attention. She has gotten like 1/4 through about 3 pages, and I am pretty sure she is completely done with it. I ordered a huge box of markers to go with it, and even though they are small tip, they are still too big. I would recommend super fine tip or colored pencils. The square size is the only thing that puts this off for me. They are really small and I can hardly see the numbers for what color to use.Now that she is finished with it, I think I am going to snatch it lol. It is a great concept and something I would have fun with! 5Great complex color-by-numbersMore complex than the early Mystery Mosaics, these use up to 36 different colors, and all squares are halved into triangles for a more detailed result. The great things about Mystery Mosaics is that you absolutely cannot tell what picture is going to emerge when you start a new page. These are great fun for adults or young adults looking for more challenging color-by-numbers, and the results are beautiful. I've bought these for myself (female, late 50s) and for my brother (male, 50). We both love them all. 5Mystery Mosaics Wins Big!My grandson was delighted to receive this as a gift. He loves coloring in the mosaics and trying to determine what the mystery animal will be.It was great to help him keep busy during the Christmas break. This book is just right for young children. I'll be looking for more of these books for him. 5Great book but watch out for puzzle 5This is another nice addition to mindwares mystery mosaics line.this is book number 11 in the series. There is a variety of different designs in this book. The directions are easy to follow.use the key in corner of the page to fill in the squares.there are a few puzzles that take up two pages.they fold out of the book kinda like a poster. The pages are on the thin side so if you use markers or ink you need to put some blank pages behind the one your working on to protect the next page.you need a wide variety of colors because the book uses a total of 36 different colors.there is an answer key in the back of the book to show what each finished puzzle looks like.none of the puzzles are printed into the binding or up on the edges of the pages.ive took a finished pic of puzzle number 2 so you can get an idea of what they look like.and yes puzzle number 5 is missing its numbers on its page 5On my Favorite ListThese are my favorite color by number books. I like having the uniform spaces (either a square or triangle) on each page. I also like the fact that I cannot tell what the picture is until I start coloring it in. 5Fun book good for all agesThis book is a lot of fun.I like them when I need to take a break from adult coloring books. There are 18 mosaic puzzles and one from wild wonders book 1.all of the puzzles are printed on the front of the page with a precut line to year out the pages.there are 4 pages that fold out to and make the puzzle on 2 pages. This is one of the newer books in the series.if you've done some of the older ones you will notice a larger range of colors is used.in the front pages there is a color key that shows you all the colors needed. I used crayola twistable color pencils and crayola supertip 50 ct markers.of you use markers the pictures do look brighter and nicer but you will need to put a few extra sheets of paper behind the page your working on because the marker will bleed through the page. 5even nicer than described! This mystery color by number square mosaic book is really nice. Some of the squares are split into triangles for more defined shapes and some of the pictures fold out of the book into double pages. All the pages are single sided so you can use marker and perforated so you can remove them - the double page sized pictures are a single large sheet of paper that tears out. The squares and numbers are small so this designed is for an older child or adult. There are 18 pictures (4 of which are double sized). The inside cover lists 36 colors needed for the book including 5 shades of gray. Mosaic 1 only used 12 colors so you don't use every color on every page. Apparently you can buy a set of colored pencils specifically coordinated to this book but you can make do without. 5
