    Love this stuffPerfect condition 5Nice Spindrift kit - LOUSY decals. Nice Spindrift kit - LOUSY decals. It's WAY too small, but far improved over the earlier larger versions - nothing like the nightmare trying to get pieces to line up in the old ones. HOWEVER, I've been building since '69 and I know BAD decals when I see 'em - still good and wet, they stressed, tore and flaked just trying to follow the curvature of the ship. I can't blame the seller - Amazon was kind enough to issue a partial credit. Hopefully TSDS after market decals will work - I have used their decals before in a large Flying Sub build and they did very well. The Moebius decals actually messed up my glossy finish and I have work to do before appplying new ones. Nothing fancy to the lighting - just "cheapo" Chinese LEDs hot glued in place with a couple of resistors running off a 9v. 3Three StarsVery detailed but too small. Decals leave much to be desired. Seamless application is challenging. 3Spectacular Little Spindrift!When I was a kid I had the larger Aurora model kit of the Spindrift. I loved it. When this little guy came out, I had to buy it. It is highly detailed and just wonderful. It has a full interior you can see inside, but it's a cardboard print, which is highgly appropriate considering at this scale you'd probably not want to model a full interior anyway. But it is a beautiful model, and even includes a very delicate and delightful antenna.I have bought two of these so far. Built one up fully, and intend to send the other to a friend who is a fan of this ship.Thank you, Moebius! 5Five StarsI like this item and am looking forward to building it. 5Smaller than I thoughtThis is a nice little kit. I was hoping it would have been a bit larger, but it's OK. Comes with a clear stand, and the decals are pretty delicate (water-based) so they tear easily. It does come with a paper interior, and that's great, but you really can't see anything through the front window since it's so small. You'd have to be pretty good at miniatures to put lights in this thing. If you're looking to do that, opt for the larger version. 5Five StarsGreat addition 5Great little kit!I love my spindrift! This is a small kit but if you are willing to put in the effort you can make a great display kit or diorama. I ordered the photoetch detail set as well to make it the best it can be! 5Land of the Giants Fans Rejoice!Great kit of an old favorite. It's not just a scaled down version of the Aurora/Polar Lights kit, it's been "corrected" in several ways; dome shape, no raised/recessed areas for stripes, the weird gadget at the end of the pitot tube all redone to match the look of the original filming minature. Arrived fast and well packaged. Very pleased. 5This is a neat little Spindrift model with a printed cardboard interior.This is a small scale spaceship model of Spindrift; from the 1960s Science Fiction T.V. Show, "Land of The Giants."The construction is simple, and straight forward, and features a printed cardboard interior. If you want to use the display stand, you will have to cut out a square hole in the center of the floor interior before the assembly. This will allow you to properly install the stand. Another point of interest are the decals, they are very difficult to apply andcan break easily. Over all, once the model is completed; you will have an exciting replica from a 1960s T.V. Show that hopefully, many older modelers can remember. 4
