    It's easy for her to push down on the large lever ...Anything to do with playdoh is a huge hit with my 3 yr old! She happened to see this and really wanted it so I got it as a last minutes Christmas gift for her. She loves it! It's easy for her to push down on the large lever to push out the playdoh but we do have to help her slide in the design piece she wants to use which is fine since we supervise her while she's playing with this to avoid messes. She has already logged in quite a few hours with this toy :) 5Toddler likes itMy 4 year old likes squishing playdoh a lot, so this seemed like a nice big present. He enjoys it very much because he can make giant spaghetti noodles out of it. The playdoh does ooze out of the sides of the shape template which is mildly irritating for him when he wanted identical shapes, so we did have to explain how to separate the excess overflow from the good shapes and refeed it through the presser compartment. He eventually picked it up and uses it no problem though. 4Playdoh Life hack!The Kids just LOVE this. but the review here are right, there are lots of little spaces for play doh to get caught in the press. so we were losing abit each time as well had to clean out dry dough alot Life hack that worked great though " store the set in a large sealed bag it keeps everything soft for future play!"thank you for that one!! 4Solving the Cleaning ProblemSolving the Cleaning ProblemI read in many reviews that this fun factory is difficult to clean. I used it with the two play-dohs that came with it and had a great time. Yes, the play-doh went in all the little cracks and crannies. What a glorious mess! Then I took it apart into its three major pieces and three minor pieces (no tools required, it snaps). Each of the pieces was easily cleaned using a toothpick. All the play-doh was removed and most was recovered into its own color. There was a small portion so mixed that I created a new color - mixed. Re-assembly was just a 'snap' 'snap' and it was as clean as when it arrived. I can hardly wait until my mechanically minded granddaughter watches me do this! She will find taking it apart, cleaning, and putting it back together a great fun new way to play-doh. The whole process took just a few minutes and was fun to do. 5My son loves this factory set. Only negative is ...My son loves this factory set. They love Play-Doh so I stuck my tail between my legs and finally gave in to the world of the most horrible toys to clean ever. This one is no exception as it has nooks and crannies for Play-Doh to get stuck in and harden up in so that the next time you pull it out it makes your life a living hell trying to get the different parts to work together until you manage to pop all the hard pieces out of the way. I can't knock a star for this as I could clearly spend an unreasonable amount of time cleaning it every.single.time, but let's be honest: I'm only letting my kids play with Play-Doh in the first place because I'm busy and need them occupied so I don't have time to deal with that upkeep.Aside from that, this is a painfully simple item. Stick a wad of Play-Doh in the shoot and push it through whatever special design shape you so desire and "Ta-da!" you have a long string of joy. My boys love this thing and have combined countless colors to see what they'd look like coming out. As a result, we now have all of our containers full of greenish-black Doh, but boys can find joy in that as well.If you've given into the Play-Doh nightmare, this is an accessory that you probably should own. 5I love when they get so much fun out of simpler ...Before breaking my sons had only one of these and fought over it every time the playdoh came out. Finally giving in and buying two. I love when they get so much fun out of simpler toys. Play doh will keep them off a screen for hours. 5Serves it's purpose but needs improvingIf you put too much in the chamber before squeezing it out, tge play doh over flows and comes out of the sides like other reviewer pictures show. Just put less in and it won't, but try telling your kid that ;) the spot where you slide in the red shape maker has nooks and crannies impossible to get play doh out of unless you have a tooth pick, safety pin, paper clip to dig out the pieces with. Not a huge deal but prepare for mixing colors as a result. The plastic knife they include could've been made thinner to help with that, but maybe it's a safety concern they're worried about. 3 stars because my 3yo son just started playing with play doh and loves it, and isn't concerned with the adult issues we notice. 3A must for every Grandma!If you are going to break out the Play-Doh then you are going to need the Fun Factory. My grandchildren love this! Make sure you clean it out well after every use or the hard play-doh in the sliding ridges will cause your Fun Factory to crack. 5
