Customer Reviews

Kids Love ThisI gave this to my daughter (3) for her birthday because she loves Play-Doh and her dad is a dentist. She couldn't wait to be a 'dentist,' too! The head allows you to insert the red Play-Doh to 'grow' a tongue, which is really cool. There are molds to make teeth, which you can insert in holes in the gums. The drill is battery operated and spins (my one-year-old's favorite!). The toy is really cute and my daughter is always asking to play with it!My only complaint would be that once you fill a tooth with silver, you can't really separate the colors anymore to reuse them. That's obviously going to happen with any Play-Doh unless you restrict play to one color. It doesn't bother me or the kids, but it does bug my OCD husband. 5Adults can't resist helping--fun and durableWe purchased this toy as a Christmas gift for a four year old and it has been more than 6 months. She was just playing with it again yesterday and it is still all working as it should. Even the "grown-ups" in the family are unable to resist making teeth and tongues to fit in the molded plastic head. She loves the drill that actually works to make holes in the playdough. It gives us a chance to explain about fillings and why she doesn't want to get one ever! The only negative is that she is tempted to use the drill for things it isn't designed for. Since it really does spin at a fairly high speed there is a danger or her getting her hair or other items twisted onto it. She used to to make a plastic playdough container spin around yesterday. In my opinion the drill needs careful adult supervision for some children. 4Great for the right kidSo we got this toy for my niece for Christmas. We wanted something fun and educational, and hope to inspire something in her. She loves play doh, but was confused by this. She did play with it, it was easy for her to make the teeth, but in the end lost interest. I think that the weird decapitated head was the deal braker for her. Don't get me wrong, its not a "boy" toy. My other niece, her younger sister, started playing with it, and loved it. She is not as crafty, so I was the one making the teeth. I know a lot of reviewers gave this to boys who loved it. But this is a great gift for girls too. I think its just the toy has to fit the child's (boy or girl) interest. 4she thought it was awesome and had a lot of funMy daughter saw a video on youtube that reviewed this product and wanted to watch similar videos. When we opened it she was excited and played with it for a couple hours, she thought it was awesome and had a lot of fun. It will be fun to take out once a week or so to play with. Another reason I wanted to get it was to get her interested in teeth because she hates brushing her teeth (she is almost 3) and she has started to not fight the teeth brushing so much. 5A Tip For When You Run Out Of The Silver Play DohI bought this for my 7-yr old son who really liked this. The only problem was that when there was no more silver play doh. I could not find silver play doh anywhere. I even called Hasbro to see if they could help me, and they were no help at all. They just don't sell it anymore. I finally figured out that all I had to do was buy some white and black play doh and mix them (about 2-3 parts white, and 1 part black) together to make it gray. Now, problem solved! My son can continue making his braces and filings again. 4good value for your moneyNice product but not as good as play doh fun factory or tonka diggin rigs. The ear keeps falling and my kids are not able to play with both parts of the face attached. They always have to take one part out so that they can comfortably drill and fill the teeth. Although, the drill itself is fun. If your kids are like mine where they don;t always follow rules and get creative, you could do a lot with this product. This drill has made into the "must-have-when traveling" list for my kids, and they have fun with it wherever they go. could be better, but good value for your money. 4Typical PlayDoh FunWe have had this for a few years now. I don't have a lot of experience with play sets for PlayDoh.The set has held up well, but my kids did not play with it too often. I think they might have been too young when they received it.The molds worked well, and they enjoyed making the teeth and filling up the mouth. If you have room for this, it would be a great addition to a preschool activity area or bin. Lots of grasping and placing small objects (the teeth). 4Lots of fun for Play Doh fans. This is one of the best Play Doh sets currently available for kids in my opinion (we are a big Play Doh fan family so we have lots of sets). I have bought two for my kids and another one for a birthday gift. They all love it. Kids can literally spend more than an hour playing with this uninterrupted. They enjoy playing pretend dentist making teeth, drilling teeth, filling teeth. I originally bought this to lessen the anxiety of going to a dentist for some fillings. It seems to work well for that, too, not just for fun. It comes with three cans of Play Doh - a white one for making teeth, a red one for making a tongue, and a grey one for making fillings. 5Teeth, Tongue & Braces, Oh My!!I've always avoided buying Play-Doh products for my kids (7yo girl, 8yo boy) due to having carpeted floors everywhere & remembering my childhood having colorful Play-Doh carpets of my own due to my neglect of the crafty clay!!My kids love this toy & take very good care of it & the contents.. It is one of their favorite new toys & the Play-Doh isn't nearly as messy as I remembered from my childhood!! You would think creating the same tongue, teeth & braces over & over would bore kids that are my own' sages, but it doesn't!!Highly recommended for any kid or adult!! But mostly just kids :o) 5A Family Favorite! Our whole family loves this Play-Doh product! We bought Dr. Drill and Fill as a Christmas present for our daughters, ages 4 and 2. It was an instant hit on Christmas Day and continues to provide hours of fun! We run a home based child care business and the children request to use this at least once a week. We have several Play-Doh sets but this is definitely the coolest! Before buying this, I read reviews from parents who purchased Dr. Drill because they wanted to help promote the importance of dental health. From the perspective of both a parent and an educator, I agree that this toy will help children feel less anxious about going to the dentist, while also encouraging creativity. I would recommend this to those who are looking to expand their Play-Doh collection. If you have not yet purchased a Play-Doh set and are wondering if you should- I urge you to give it a try! You will be glad you did! 5
