Simple Activity, Endless Learning PotentialGot this as a gift for a toddler we know because it is ths simple play things like this that truly advance a child's learning. Why? Because it's fun! Hands on learning with endless possibilites and exploration....including parents who have to figure out how to get it out of carpet when the toddler gets loose! Thankfully, this Aunt won't have to be cleaning it up!In all seriousness, colors, matching, letter and number recognition, spelling, and motor skills are just some of the whole child development benefits of activities like this! Also of important note: no batteries needed. 5Play-Doh Fun. Toddler likes it.Play-Doh Fun. Toddler likes it. I'd recommend storing in a ziplock bag as some 'doh gets wedged into parts of a stamp, such as in between the curve of the "U," and the plastic bag helps keep 'doh soft. Otherwise, use a toothpick to clean as needed. 5Excellent learning tool at a great priceOur 2.5 yr old daughter loves making the letters and numbers and using the little knife to cut the edges (with oyr supervision of course). Excellent learning tool at a great price! The containers of playdoh are about half the size of your normal playdoh container, but there's definitely plenty to go around. All the colors end up smooshed together after a few weeks anyway lol. 5Fun for preschoolersThis is a great set. I used them to teach my toddlers letters. I separated each letter is a ziplock bag. Then I added other play dough cutters that start with that letter. I had to get creative for a few letters like x, we did a pirate them and for I, I added the play dough ice cream maker. M, I used moon, monkey and motorcycle. I used two of these letter sets, several random play dough shape sets and one Wilton cookie cutter set to complete my letter bags. It's has made learning letters and sounds more fun for my toddlers. You also get numbers, I added them to the letter they start with like 9 goes in the letter N group. Overall this set is great. You can also spray them with cooking spray so the play dough doesnt get stuck in the little grooves. 5Good for fun. Not awesome for learning. We had this a while before we opened it. The play doh amount is smaller than I expected but it was fine because who needs a ton of play doh right? The amount of molds is a little overwhelming so we put them in a large zip lock bag so as to see them better and when she plays with the set we put them on a little tray to keep it all intact. The letters and numbers are quite small so she has some trouble getting them out sometimes. All in all it s fun for her but I wouldn t use this as a learning tool as intended. 3Great for learning letters and numbers while having fun!I purchased this set as part of my daughter's Christmas gift and she loved it! It's great for teaching toddlers their alphabet and numbers and then progressing to using the stamped Play-Doh pieces for counting above 10 and spelling out words! The pieces are very study/of good quality plastic and included are 8-1 oz. jars of Play-Doh in a vibrant array of colors to keep your little ones entertained. I highly recommend this, as long as you have some patience to help your tot remove the letters and numbers, as it can sometimes be a little difficult. 5The letters are smaller than they used to beYears ago, I used a play-doh set like this to teach my son his letters and some basic words. I wanted a new set for my daughter and figured this would be the same.I was a bit disappointed to see that the letters are smaller than they used to be and are almost too small. The numbers are still the same size. If you compare the number stamps to the letter stamps, you will see the size difference.I bought this set for ten years ago. I d say this set is worth less than that. 3Great alphabet stamps for early learnersI wanted to clear up some misleading information in the product description, and hopefully shed light on some of the negative reviews posted here. These are letter stamps, not molds. Used for that purpose, they work great. While the stamps are small, they are still easy to use and my son can stamp his sight words into the Play-Doh without issue. So far, none of the Play-Doh has been stuck in the mold, but the set includes a little knife in case that happens.I can't imagine trying to use these pieces as classic molds (i.e. put the Play-Doh in and remove it to create a letter.) They are too small and shallow. If you're looking for a way to create 3D letters, you'd be much better off purchasing one of the cookie cutter sets. 5Toy that every kid would like.I bought this Play-Doh as a gift for my friend's daughter 4th birthday and she loved it! It is not only playdough itself, but also forms to make letter and others. My friend liked that it was very entertaining learning activity. I am going to by the same for my boys, who are 2 and 5! Good value for the price! 5... for this set and I think that is a good deal for itpaid just under $6 for this set and I think that is a good deal for it. I bought it for my 2 year old grandson. We had fun playing it together. Even though he don't know all his numbers and letters yet, he had a fun time making an imprint of them into the play-doh. I was worried when everyone was talking how small the numbers and letters were that they would be super tiny. Yes they are small, but I think they are the prefect size for this little play doh set. When we rolled out one color we were able to make lots of 3 letter words. I only let him play with one color at a time to avoid mixing them for the time being. I'm happy with this set and my grandson had a fun time playing with it. 5
