The cards are huge enough but are flimsy and can easily tear or rip]LETTERS:There are 36 cards. there are 7 'B' words and they skipped the letters L, Q, V, W, X, Y, Z. The last time i checked these were still letters of the alphabet.NUMBERS:They are from 1-12 and have 3 sets of each so this is fine.COLORS AND SHAPESThere are a variety of shapes and colors. They pretty much cover all the basics.LANGUAGE:These are supposed to be the first words that your toddler should learn to say. Starting off easy with A for Apple then going down we have C for Cowboy, J for Jumprope, L for Lightbulb, O for Octopus how are these words simple. The should have come up with more simple words.Overall: Its ok..if you want to buy please do at your own risk but i dont recommend as permanent cards to use.. 2Good cards, but backs are too distractingGreat cards except for the fact that the backside is yellow with Mr. Potatohead on it so it s really distracting for my son. He s more interested in looking at the back of the card than what I m trying to teach him. 1Playsmart-get the playskool flash cards!So, originally I got my son the "teach my toddler the alphabet" kit. It was great. The only problem was retrospectively obvious-keeping track of the flashcards. My son loved going over his alphabet, but after a couple of weeks he'd lost or destroyed several letters . So I jumped on my magical Amazon app and went on the hunt for some replacement cards. And boy did I score.These are great, and the reason for that is that, while there's a ton of variety (I mean, the set comes with literally like 400 different cards-even if he loses a couple it's not a big deal), there's also commonalities. The clues for the alphabet are also in the pictures for 'first words.'The only negative thing I could possibly say is that i wish they came with some kind of storage-even a little bag would be great. There's just so many to keep track of and the boxes that they come in don't last long enough.These cards are great. For a low price you can get your kid something that will not only entertain them.for hours and hours, it will also help them prepare for school and life. 5Ok for playThese cards are made very flimsy and they should have had the letter/number/word on the back for the person holding them. It's a cute little set to pass some time and play with but if you are serious about trying to teach with flash cards a different set would probably be better. 3These have been great for my 3 year oldThese have been great for my 3 year old! It is nice to have something different than an ipad! She loves to be able to touch and play with them! I take them to restaurants and car rides ... a great gift too! I wish they made more of these! 4Great!I am so excited to give these as a gift to my sister for her son. I always try to buy an educational item for birthdays along with a toy. I've bought flash cards like this from Amazon multiple times (even for my own) and I LOVE, LOVE them! I've been working with these flash cards for about a 1.5 years now (since my daughter was one) and it is AMAZING what they can learn just working with them for 5 minutes out of the day. 5Could be betterThese flashcards are so thin I can NOT give them to my 2 and 3 year olds for even a minute. Kids are rough and put things in their mouth, these will be ruined faster then you you can stop them!So I decided to order a laminating machine and laminate them all. That will fix the problem and then these flashcards would be perfect!! 3Good learning tool 4 LW, but durability an issueGreat learning tool for LW. She started playing with them on her own and they aren't very durable. They lasted about two weeks. However she's 2 1/2 and that should be expected. Would have liked for them to be a little more durable. They are very good for basic concepts and helping with comprehension. I bought a couple other decks and they've lasted longer. 3Since this is s product for children the pictures need to be more universal Instead Of what looks like handmade drawingsTHe drawing on some of these cards is ridiculous. I will update the post with a picture but even I have a hard time knowing what the object is based on the picture. There are alot of other options out there that would be of higher quality. This set, in the alphabet section has only one A card but two Bs, CS, and Ds, then back to only one E, it also created a whole new letter, I have no Ls but I have an "Li" that has a picture of a lightbulb??? The decks also came with different word flashcards that dont focus on letters but have pictures of different items and the word for what it is at the bottom, and once again I have one card that starts with an an a, which is apple but in have 7 B words. The cards really just dont make any sense. I wouldn't waste your money. 2
