    Missing pieces from factoryits the second time I purchase this brand puzzle and it is incomplete. It was missing 1 piece and the second puzzle was missing 2 pieces.How do I know? because (1) I use a tray to build the puzzle, (2) i dont have kids that may have grab a piece, (3) I have clean and search for the pieces and cant find them (I also have a clean up lady and couldnt find it as well), and (4) I usually build a puzzle within 2 days.At first I though it was bad luck but a second time cant be a coincidence.Its so frustrating to finish the puzzle and find out you have 1 or 2 missing pieces coming from the factory. 1Fun puzzle project for the familyMy children and I truly enjoyed this puzzle. It was challenging but an enjoyable family exercise (that did not involve video games); it took about 20 hours to complete (with a vacation to Manhattan in the middle of the build). I find putting a puzzle together rather meditative, and I think my children did, too. It's refreshing for my wife to enter our family room (after 2+ hours of relatively silent puzzle assemblage) and see her family working quietly together on a puzzle project. The best part of this puzzle is that my family got to visit Times Square half-way through completion of the puzzle. The visit inspired the kids to finish this beautiful puzzle. We then used Mod Podge glue to make the puzzle permanently stick together; it's now hanging in my son's room! 5Missing Piece - and one from a different puzzleI enjoyed assembling this puzzle, and it was indeed more challenging than expected for a relatively small puzzle. Sadly, my box contained 1000 pieces, of which 999 fit into the puzzle as expected - but although piece #1000 looks like it should fit into the open space, both from a color and shape perspective, it does not, both the color and the shape are only similar to the open space. Very disappointing - and I certainly don't want to make the puzzle again, so replacement hardly seems like an acceptable option. Will consider carefully before purchasing any further Ravensburger puzzles, as this seems to have become quite a common issue - what has happened to their quality control? 2pieces fit together too looselyThe big drawback to this puzzle is that the pieces fit together far too loosely (at least on the one I received). Sections would fall apart if I tried to move them around, which happens when my wife and I build puzzles together. I find that some Ravensburgers fit together beautifully with their soft-click technology, and others like this one are surprisingly looser.Colors are always great on Ravensburgers, though. As 1000-piecers go, I found this one to be on the easier side.I would not recommend it unless you're in love with NYC or you don't plan to move groups of pieces around much. 3Pieces of the puzzle?This was a beautiful challenging puzzle and disappointing at the same time. In the end we were missing 4 piece, not one , not two ... but 4! Yes I checked the floor ... I checked everywhere. I believe the pieces did not come in the box. This is the first time we (just my husband and myself) have done a puzzle and had missing pieces, I guess it happens? The box was sealed, the bag in the box with the pieces was sealed. It just ruined the whole puzzle. So sad. 1By far Ravensburger is the best of all puzzle makersBy far Ravensburger is the best of all puzzle makers, and I just took up this hobby this year starting with the Rockefeller Center Christmas skating and xmas tree one and then recently Times Square. Times Square was more challenging than I thought it would be, but still fun and a nice change from the landscapes (with no people, which for me are beautiful but not quite as appealing). I've learned that in doing Ravensberger that (in the right light, preferably sunlight) separating as pieces much as possible first by color really is key, and they make it easier by doing an amazing job of designing their puzzles with very sharp images and nuanced colors (varied blues, reds,yellows etc) that really simplify the job. 4Bad bad puzzle, dont buyI spent more on tjis puzzle because i was hoping for a qualiry puzzle, this one was obviously cut wrong, pieces did not fit, i was hoping the more i put it together it would syraighten out. Im an advanced puzzler, but this one realky dissapointed. I sent it back after weeks of trying to get it together. Dont buy, save yourself the frustration. If I could have given it no stars i would have. 1Epic disappointment! Poor quality and missing pieces equals a lot of frustration.This is a puzzle that my husband and I were really looking forward to doing. We noticed right off the bat that the pieces did not click together the way Ravensburger pieces had in the past. I had to go hunt up our lighted magnifying glass to help place pieces because there were very few pieces that were a sure thing. I am so frustrated with this puzzle I can't even put it in to words. The pieces were made cheaply, one piece is positively missing.. I am all finished with the puzzle except for the missing piece but have four pieces left with four empty places that these will not fit in to. I guess we just hit some bad luck with this one because I am not going to have my framed puzzle after all. I actually bought the glue that this company sells and had the frame all picked out. Oh well, at least I got it on sale so not as much of my money was trashed as could have been. We work in a controlled environment on a lipped puzzle table and would be shocked if I had lost the piece that is missing. 1Lovely image. Great fun.You can feel the quality of these pieces. They are luxurious to the touch and the colors just pop and catch the eye. There's a lot of blue/black but there are shades and textures which make assembly a little easier. The rest of the image is extremely varied, so it's just a matter of sorting colors and patterns together.As others have noted, I did find the pieces to be loose fitting. This is my first Ravensburger, so I do not have a comparison. 5Missing edge pieces and the small color sheet. Bummer!We were given a Ravensberger puzzle for Christmas and loved it. So, we decided to buy another one. Got this a few days ago and noticed that it had two of the :Ravensberger "quality pages" in it and not just one quality page and another page that showed the solved puzzle without edges. Just now hand walked thru all the remaining pieces, trying to get the border done first. It appears that we are missing at least 6 edge pieces. Now I am stuck with a puzzle that I cannot solve. Very disappointed. 1
