Customer Reviews

Like many reviews have stated the staff was bent towards ...Like many reviews have stated the staff was bent towards the model's head. I ran it under hot water and slowly bent the staff back into place. Just make sure not to bend it too fast. I took about 10 minutes to slowly bend it in small increments, then run it under hot water for a minute or so, then bend, repeat.I also used a nail brush and hand soap to wash the model as there is casting residue on the mini that would cause issues with paint adhering to the mini. Overall great model, and came in original packaging. There are also some very small casting flash on the model which you will also have to clip off, so there is a little bit of prep you have to perform on the mini. The model does not come with a base which was kind of surprising, but not a big issue. 4Great miniI had a lot of fun with this great mini. My first mini that I bought for my first D&D experience. My character is a wizard not a warlock but the details on this mini are awesome. The staff came bent, which seems to be common for this mini, some hot water on the bent point and some gentle bending put it straight. The pewter adds a nice weight and quality to the mini that the plastic ones don't have. The pewter was harder to paint compared to the plastic one that my wife received. I washed and cleaned the pewter then spray painted it a matte black. I had to paint on the spray paint so it didn't clump up. After that dried I painted it with acrylic paints. What I found with the pewter was that if I held the mini in the same spot for too long or if it fell over the pain would rub/chip off. So I had to be gentle with it and I had to varnish it in the end so the paint wouldn't chip. Overall I spent about 4 hours painting it over a few days. I'm extremely happy with how this turned out and I'm glad I took the time to make this mini my own. 5Five StarsI dont normaly party with elvesbut when I do I make sure it is with a warlock. This elf warlock is a worthy addition to your raiding party and the best part is once your mission is complete those elf ears make amazing treats for your goblins. 5Good wizard miniature. The item has flowing robes as the main element. The staff is thick enough to survive light handling. In front is a necklace and belt, so with careful painting and good contrast in colors you can add a lot to this miniature. The face is in a deep hood, so could be difficult to paint. There is nothing that screams elf, so this could be any robe-wearing character. 4Really nice mini, shipping was careless.I want to give this 5 start the mini is very detailed and took paint really well, but the staff came bent over the mini's shoulder. I bent it back without breaking it but I thought I was going to break the whole time I was moving it. It painted easily and didn't have any lasting damage so 4 start. 4but it's pretty sturdy & was easily re-bent back into its proper ...Mine arrived last night, which was actually early. As others have mentioned, the staff was bent over the mini's head, but it's pretty sturdy & was easily re-bent back into its proper position. The mini has a lot of detail to it, & I'm going to enjoy painting it. This is my first Reaper mini, but if it's any indication of the rest of the line, I'll be buying more. 5A perfect miniature for a casterI was looking for a miniature to be my Warlock, I found this one and it is beautiful. The detail is amazing and was a blast to paint. If you are looking for a miniature to be your character in an RPG spend the extra money and get a metal figure the level of detail is astronomically better than their bones plastic line. 5Nice miniVery nice sculpt. Good pour with no bubbles or excessive mold lines. Yes the staff was bent but that's completely normal for these types of minis. Guess what, carefully bend it straight and get on with your painting. Getting a bit old hearing newbs complain about that. 5I was able to straighten it up just fine. I wouldn't recommend any other bending of the ...This is a really neat mini and has gotten complements from my D&D group. I need to point out though that on arrival the top of the staff was bent towards the character enough that it was noticeable. I fixed this by ever so carefully bending outward on the jeweled tip. I was able to straighten it up just fine. I wouldn't recommend any other bending of the mini. I could feel the tension inside the staff. No breakage on mine, just be careful. I'm guessing the staff became like that due it's packaging process. I have not painted this mini and I'm not sure I will but I believe it will take hobby paint just fine. 5Fits The PictureI really liked this miniature a lot. Lots of detail, heavy, stands straight and well balanced. My only issue with it, which may have been due to the carrier, is the staff was bent nearly over his head. Took a little heat and careful bending to get it straight again, which is fine, but that would be my only complaint. 5
