    Exceed RC 1/10th Truck - PerfectI got one of these to replace the 540 in my Exceed 1/10th 4x4 truck. It fit right in, is very fast and has plenty of power. In fact, we turned the throttle on the remote down to 75% so it's a little more manageable. It was absolutely nuts ha! So far we've beat on it for a couple days and it doesn't seem to get hot and works great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it could blow up tomorrow, I dunno yet. If it did, I'd probably buy another one.We're not racing it or anything, just blasting it around the yard. 4May be just a bad motor!Installed forward works fine for some reason reverse is real weak! 3OK, affordable so can buy two in case one breaks.Good replacement, and inexpensive after the identical one I had before stopped working (bad terminals came loose - soldering didn't work). 3Broken CapacitorMotor came in today and noticed that one of the capacitors was broken. I installed the motor and it's running fine for now. I hope the capacitor doesn't affect the performance. 3Works greatWorks great - always keep an extra on hand. 5This motor is a piece of crap didn't work out of the package no buzz no ...This motor is a piece of crap didn't work out of the package no buzz no hum nothing don't buy it 1Five StarsGreat replacement motor! 5Breathes new life in to an abused Volcano EPX :)I bought this to replace the OEM motor in my Redcat Racing Volcano EPX which lasted about 2 months of hard daily bashing. I was running the truck for 2 to 6 batteries (10-15 minutes each) almost every day in 80+ degree weather on dusty gravel, dirt and thick grass.So I wasn't surprised that the stock 540 motor started to slow down. It worked better after cleaning it in water and rubbing alcohol. But I wanted that "new" truck speed again.This new 550 size motor was easy to install and gave the truck new life. It moves really fast (for a brushed motor).Tip - I found it easiest to remove the 3mm grub screw on the pinion gear attached to the motor by using a Torx T8 star bit socket. 5Give it a try!I purchased this motor as a replacement for my then current Redcat stock 27t motor and what a difference it made. I immediately noticed the difference in speed and torque. I've been running the dog crap out of this motor for the last couple of months and it is still going strong. Before I bought this motor I was tempted to buy the HPI Firebolt 15t, I'm glad I didn't. But, when and if this motor ever dies, I just might give the old HPI Firebolt a try, where I can give a fair comparison. Let me say this before I go! I did break my motor in using a bowl of water and a AA battery. Afterwards I sprayed contact cleaner through the motor to make sure I got the water out and then I let the motor dry. Then placed a drop of 3 in 1 oil on each end of the post. And like I said that motor is still going strong and running like she is brand new! 5Perfect fit for my redcatExcellent motor works just fine 5
