Customer Reviews

For some reason first a arm broke. getting cheaper?????The best on the market. read the warranty carefully though. not full proof 5and I'm confident these will hold up much better in the long runHuge improvement over stock a-arms (which I obliterated crashing into a curb). You can see and feel the difference in the plastics used, and I'm confident these will hold up much better in the long run. It took some time to get the screws threaded into the shock mounts but once they were in they were solid. Also, be careful not to over thread the screws or they will hit the driveshafts and rub... 4Very high quality A-arms, almost unbreakableIt's the same thing I bought 15 years ago so they're awesome. I don't know how I broke that a-arm set (thinking my son stepped on it or something) but this set bolted right up and it's back up and running. It's the OG 2.5 so I did the conversion to the longer arms back then all around. What I'm really miffed about is RPM's "Backed by RPM's world-renowned breakage warranty" which means nothing at all. I e-mailed them saying I know it's old and I can buy this for so-and-so on Amazon, but figured I'd give the warranty a shot. NOPE! It's old, they won't cover it."Unfortunately, our older a-arms for the T-Maxx 2.5 have been discontinued for quite some time. That means we don't have any left to be able to cover your damaged a-arm under warranty. We have this as a provision in our warranty program here - http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/faq/rpm-warranty-policy/#discontinued I apologize for the bad news. With respect to finding a replacement on Amazon, I doubt you'll be able to find a set of 2.5 versions. They're shorter than the newest versions by almost 5/8" per side. The correct part number you'll be looking for would be RPM #80265 to replace the damaged version you have. You'll most likely only find RPM #80465, which is the longer version. You can use this part number but you'll need to convert your entire truck over to 3.3 spec's to make them work."I stated I had the 80465 arms in the email, but I didn't want to raise cain and do the back and forth over something I find trivial. They do say "2.5, 2.5R, and 3.3" and clearly state "T-Maxx 1.5 owners will need the longer T-Maxx 2.5 turnbuckles and axles." though. Fair warning was noted when purchased but too quickly got "nope" for my taste. There is a 2.5 classic...it's the Sport Maxx and we've probably all converted by now due to lack of parts. 2Good quality productStronger then traxxas parts thicker n stronger. Slightly heavier very slightly 5I love them. Would love more color optionsRPM is da bomb for plastic upgrades. Lifetime warranty. You have to really beat your toy in a crash before these break. I love them. Would love more color options. 5Five StarsAWESOME 5A must have for tmaxxInstalled on tmaxx 3.3 4907. A must have if you abuse it. Rpm is the way to go. I installed all rpm components on the maxx. And it finally stopped breaking every time i use the pos. Thanks rpm 5Pricey, but almost necessary if running stock & keep breaking.Heck of a huge upgrade from the stock A-arms. A bit of a pain to change, but worth it. Heavy duty for certain. I wouldn't quote them and say that they match up to the aluminum parts by any means. And are a bit pricey for any plastic, but all in all will hold ya down a ton better then the stock arms that'll snap on a decent hit. 4replaced the stock a-arms on my t-maxx 3.3These were the first parts i ordered for my t-maxx 3.3. i figured cheap, and highly rated. i have since broken my front bulkhead and also replaced with RPM brand bulkheads. i hope i am good for a while.note: if using on the rear you may want a different kit. rpm 80942. it comes with the same a-arms and fixed axel carriers. this means less parts to break and have to adjust.the front ones are 2/5 to install (5 being most difficult). if you want to get it all done at once, which i recommend, you should also replace the following. rpms website list MSRP prices, but if purchased online you can get some great deals.front bulk headsrear bulk heads (4.5/5)bulk head braces (4.5/5) - you have to remove/loosen a good amount to get to the screws (like gas tank and engine mount)shock towersskid platesfront a armsrear a-arm conversion kit (comes with axle carriers)Also, it helps to watch a few youtube videos before you start, at least if you are new to RC cars. it took me about 6 hours to replace all this, but i got stuck on a lot of parts and spent much of the time on youtube. now i can probably do it in half the time or less.another tip, the stock tools are fine, but your hands will get tired pretty quickly. i wasn't smart enough to buy a set until after doing this replacement job. i went with the Dynamite DYN2930 its a ratchet handle with bits that can also be used in a drill (i would only use drill on a low torque setting and finish all screws by hand). integy and a couple other companies make similar tool sets. as long as it comes with a 1.5mm, 2.0mm and 2.5mm i think you will be fine. 5WAY better than stockThese are great!!! Very good quality upgrade 5
