    My Toddler's Best FriendOkay - so it is NOT the original Sock Monkey that some people remember, but it IS a sock monkey. Well made, holds up to being the best friend of a two-year old very well. He holds his color nicely through many washes. The stitching - despite the washing, night time cuddles, and playing at the park with my son, has shown no signs of wear at all. He buckles quite nicely in the car next to the car seat too lol!! He is soft all over, and the long arms make it easy for my son to drag him everywhere. We calls ours "Rupert" and he has become a very important part of my sons days and nights. He even went for his own hair cut, and sat in the chair next to my son! As far as the lack of moving parts, flashing lights, and actions sounds - no problem there. The simple design makes for important imaginative play skills, and lends itself to be whatever my sons wants this toy to be. There are no limitations to what Rupert can do and be for my son. 5Great QualityWhile I was searching for a matching sock monkey to order our baby-on-the-way, I realized via Amazon that this is the exact one I ordered 5 years ago for my older son. He has thrown this around, beat it up (i'm sure haha), and is currently obsessed with sleeping with it again (VERY random). It has held up so well - hence why we are ordering one for the new baby, to match his older brother.Would def recommend this to others! 5God...I hate sock monkeys, I bought this for my ex, and she kept that thing with her in bed every single night, so considering how long she had it, and how much her lazy fat ass slept with it, I d say it was pretty durable. Would recommend, if you re in to these things. 1Withstands the play of a German ShepherdGinger, my 9 yr old Shepherd, loves Mr Monkey. He is soft and always up for rough play. Most toys don't withstand the rigors that this toy has handled. After all Mr Monkey is very durable too. 5My granddaughter loves it.When I was a kid, my aunt gave me one of these. I loved it; and, as little boys might do, I used to wrestle and box with mine. I gave this one to my 18-month old granddaughter. She loves it, hugs it, and gives it big kisses on the Sock Monkey s lips. Oh, and she will also make what she believes are monkey sounds. She says baby grandson loves this. I was worried too old for him, but she says he grabs it with a death hold and buries his face in it. Daughter says it's a huge hit. I love how inexpensive, yet well made this toy is. Would much rather buy this just in case he loses it, won't fret if I have to replace it. Couldn't be happier that my grandson has this wonderful toy that has history to it. 5Adopt A Snuggle Buddy 4 Life!I love my little buddy so much. I bought my first Schylling Sock Monkey in October of 2005. He was purchased for my daughter and has traveled with us so many far places among them Blizz-Con's, ComiCons, theme parks, Zoo's, many restaurants, out of state trips through harsh deserts, and moist forests. He has survived many years of brutal weather and treatment and has had a few repairs along the way.He never complained and was always a good friend. In 2010 I was hospitalized and paralyzed on full life support. My daughters who both had a Schylling Sock Monkey they loved put them in the hospital bed with me where they remained for the duration of 18 months. They were moved around, shuffled along, tossed aside by Nurses but somehow always found their way back to my side. Always loyal always a good companion and friend.The quality stitching and cuteness that make up their materials can only last so long so expect a few battle scars and repairs which only add to your buddy's personality. You can start your journey as early as today by adopting one of these unique little buddies into your cart. (Each buddy does have a slight variance of look some a slight crooked smile etc. I own MANY so I know very well) :-) 5Their favorite nursery rhyme is "Ten Little Monkeys Jumping On The ...My two little grandson's ages 10 months and 15 months adored them. I wish you could of seen their smiles. Their favorite nursery rhyme is "Ten Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed". These little monkeys were soft and small enough for the boys to hold and squeeze. I bought 2 for each of them so that they have them in the house and the car. They love them! 5Sock Monkeys Bring SmilesWhen my children were young, I made them and their cousins sock monkeys for Christmas one year - 10 in all. This past summer, my youngest grandson asked me to make him a sock monkey. I searched high and low for socks and, even though stores advertised on line as carrying the product, the local stores did not stock them. My sister-in-law from AK sent me a pair of socks and I completed the monkey (much more work than I remembered!!) I knew the other kids would like a monkey as soon as they saw one so I continued my search. I found the socks online, however, the price plus shipping was ridiculous. But!! in my search for the socks, I found these monkeys advertised at Amazon. In desperation, I ordered them knowing that if they were poorly made, I would just return them. I was DELIGHTED with the quality of work, their size, and sturdiness. I wish they had a bit more stuffing in them, but other than that - great product. I gave them to my g'kids for Valentine's day and they loved them. Lots of smiles and excitement all around. They were the first things pulled from the Valentine goody bags I had made and all the monkeys received their first loving hugs. :DDefinitely recommend this product! 5Love our sock monkey!A cuddle buddy for my son over a year ago. He still cuddles with it from time to time. It was much larger than I was anticipating. Over a foot long...Great stuffed monkey. No loose threads even yet. And it held up well. No complaints here! 5
