    This is an upgrade from the UC60 kit. A truly amazing, engrossing learning-by-play series of kits.My son looooooves these kits. It keeps him off the computer for literally hours, and he actually seems to be learning a lot about electronic components but in a very fun way. He's eleven and having long talks with my hubby who is very technical. 5OkayThe solar cell and electromagnet are nice but this kit is not worth the price. The previous snap circuits were much better. 3Very cool kit. works fine with software from Elenco websiteI actually had the 750 kit but lost some of the pieces, or were damaged. So I got this upgrade kit to fill in some gaps. Other reviews say that the computer software is ancient. Well I downloaded the software from the Elenco website and it works great. The cord plugs into your microphone port. But make sure your computer is set to use that particular port. Its in the instructions. 5Wonderful upgrade to Snapcircuits!My grandsons have been receiving regular upgrades to their basic snapcircuits kit, with this being the latest. They love it and are advancing at a great pace with this product! 5Required computer program is ancientThis is a HUGE disappointment. All the kids love snap circuits and the oldest was excited to move up to the 750. But to do the projects requires the computer disk and the program, and it wouldn't load. So we pulled a directory of files on the disk--and the .exe file is dated 1997! It wants Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.0. Give me a break! No way in earth this thing is going to work with Windows 7. All the files are dated 1997 - 2004. 1An Awesome Educational ProductI bought this as an upgrade for my 11 year old son's snap circuit kit.It allows him even more freedom to create many more circuits, And to my son's pure delight, he can now the computer and snap circuits together - his two favorite things in this world.He has learned an amazing amount of information on circuitry from using Snap Circuits - and talks about them freely (capacitors, closed/open circuits, binary circuits, resistors, etc.) just like an old electronics professor. I'm not sure if THAT's a good thing (grin), but it sure is fun to see him to excited about his snap circuits. 5Oh wellI didn't do it but its good 4NO CD/CD outdated.ordered this to upgrade son's 500 kit to the 750 and the CD was not included in the picture. thought it was a mistake so I asked for an exchange. When the exchange came in the mail 3 days later, same issue. So I returned both. Waiting on refund and then will have to find out where I can get it from. After reading another review, the CD shown is from 2007, clearly will not work on the computer now. 1Great child activityJust another great addition to our Snap Circuits. 5Love Snap CircuitsMy 7 year old loves snap circuits. We started with the 300. Then got the 300-500 upgrade. Now we have this one. He continues to love building circuits. He was excited about the CD that came with it and we got it to work pretty easily, but have done it only that once. He is content to use the manuals and build circuits. We've had a few pieces break on the original sets because it gets used so much. But Elanco will replace the occasional broken piece for free if you call. They have great customer service. 5
