    Not as good as it looksI'm mad at myself for not reading the reviews on this puzzle before I purchased it. If I had I would have passed because the quality is so poor. The pieces are too thick and not cut with precision so I end up trying to force pieces together when everything lines up but they just don't want to lay flat. The pleasure I get when you search, then finally find the right piece and they feel and look so good when joined... is missing! It's a frustrating process instead of a rewarding one.And to see how many reviewers were missing pieces! Very irresponsible indeed. 1BummerThe image is vibrant and beautiful and if you don't care about puzzle quality then you will enjoy this. There have been some negative comments about the odd shape and large size of the pieces. That doesn't bother me; but if I have to smash the pieces together because they are so poorly cut with fuzzy edges it is not an enjoyable experience for me. They don't lay flat on the table. I was very sad to have to return this puzzle, but it was too frustrating to deal with. 2Not the good wow eitherWow! Not the good wow either! This puzzle is extremely pixelated! If you want something to kill time and thrown away afterwards, this is for you. If you want to put this on your wall, then it would be better suited as a dart board. The image on the box is not pixelated at all and essentially looks nothing like the puzzle itself. The pieces are of sub-par quality and not all are clean cut. 1This was horrible. Pieces don't fit together - almost as if ...This was horrible. Pieces don't fit together - almost as if they are warped or water damaged. Some of the pieces have a matte finish and some are glossy. I thought maybe this was intentional but I was never able to put the thing together enough to find out. Maybe I got a bad box???? I have bought several other puzzles from Springbok and have had no problems with them. 1Lovely picture, but poorly-made pieces.I appreciate the thicker cut of these pieces, and the picture itself was very colorful and vibrant. However, many of the pieces were poorly finished, meaning they had little extra tags or bits of the puzzle material attached to the side of the actual piece. This meant that when we added a piece to the puzzle, we weren't often entirely sure that we had the right piece in the right place, because it didn't have that feel of clicking into place, and we had to look at it from a different angle or wiggle the piece. No, it's not a huge deal, but it was aggravating enough that we will not be purchasing any further puzzles from this manufacturer. The puzzle is beautiful, and while it was not hard, it was not fun. I do puzzles for fun, and this was largely aggravating, especially for being only 500 pieces. Also, the oddly-shaped pieces just didn't work for me. Others may like them just fine. It may be just a personal preference, but all in all, this wasn't a fun puzzle to complete. When finished, we immediately boxed it up and donated it. 2Incomplete - not all pieces included! :(We ordered this puzzle a couple of weeks ago and decided to break it out this weekend.While this puzzle was a moderate challenge and very pretty when put together, it was missing about 10 pieces - all from the bottom left-hand corner. They are not lost - if we had lost pieces when we opened the box or as we were sorting through, we would have lost random pieces, not an entire chunk (see picture).There's no sense in paying good money for a puzzle if you're not going to get all the pieces! 2Not the Springbok I used to know.Rating decreased by one star each for the following defects: 1) Thickness of puzzle and/or quality of cardboard was low, resulting in pieces that have fold marks and do not fit together that well; 2) The borders of the puzzle were not flat, and some edge pieces protruded; and 3) The cuts were of poor quality - when the box was first opened many of the pieces were difficult to separate without tearing the cardboard. 2Nice picture but the pieces are oddWe really liked this picture. It was easy to assemble and the pieces are very thick. The biggest draw back was the way the pieces are cut. Each piece has a raised thick edge on the backside. The edge pieces are rough and sloppy. The finished piece does not have the clean seamed look of a quality puzzle. The thick edges make this puzzle difficult to seal then hang it. (I included some photos hope this helps) 3Good but...This puzzle was what I wanted - medium difficulty without the potential of eye strain. The individual pieces were bigger than other puzzles I have completed and, of course, it was only 500 pieces. It was enjoyable without agonizing over it or having it on my dining room table for months. BUT and this is a big BUT - there was a piece missing. No, I did not accidentally drop it on the floor or inadvertently flip it across the room. It legitimately was not in the box. 3I particularly like the shapes of the pieces but the last few ...I'm torn about Springbok but I don't think I'll buy them again. I particularly like the shapes of the pieces but the last few I've gotten don't seem properly cut causing you to force the pieces together and sometimes having edge flaws. Like other reviewers, my copy had a few missing pieces but Springbok replaced the puzzle without any questions. Lastly, this particular puzzle has a pixilation effect near the bottom which bothers me a little. Seems like the initial picture and/or the rendering of the water effect was done at too low a resolution. I used to love Springbok puzzles but this was their third strike. 2
