Customer Reviews

You'll want one for each kid and adult. We needed squirt guns that would a) not rust b) be easy for little kids to use and c) would not have impatient children demanding reloading. We bought some of the little ones where you hold the gun under the faucet, and with little kids they immediately started immersing the water gun in the kiddy pools which got batteries wet and corrosion to start. With removable refill tanks, it was easy to train them to NOT get the guns wet and just immerse the tanks. The tanks have a great capacity, but with heavy trigger fingers on little kids, we also got three "banana" magazines for extra capacity. The kids can just swap out without impatient waiting and mom/dad can refill from the hose without anyone hopping up and down. 5Cool for the summerThis is one cool toy for the summer. The kids absolutely love it. The fact that the water magazine is removable and can be replaced with one of higher capacity is awesome. The batteries have lasted a good amount of time. The "up to 25 feet" range is a bit deceptive, you may be able to get it only shooting in the direction of the wind, at an angle and on a fresh set of batteries. However it puts out a nice, steady stream of water without risking an accidental complete soaking of a guest. 5Great for the KidsI bought one of these for myself, when waiting in line at Walmart to purchase supplies for a pool party. I saw a kid in front of me with one and the child in me came out, so I had to run to the back and pick one up. I was excited about my new toy, until I got home and the youngest (3 yrld) saw it and instantly took over. I had to order five more, for myself, the other little ones and the better half! The kids (both girls & boys) love them; just remember you need 4x AA batteries for each gun. They don't have a long shooting range, but perfect to run around and have some fast, automatic water action. The only reason I didn't give it 5 -Stars was because of its lack of range. 4An unholy marriage of water and electricityWhile this doesn't pack the punch of the old school super soakers that could put your eye out, it's a great step forward in water warfare. The sheer volume you can put out without fatiguing your arms are phenomenal. Go find a bunch of clips to go with it, and you'll have an endless supply of water. It also works well for smaller kids who just aren't coordinated enough to pump the traditional guns. Lots of fun! 5They know I can now reach them from 25ft away so even if they run fast I just aimed out if front of them and it worked like a chI ordered this product to soak the cats that were coming over. I wanted the trigger instead of the pump because I didn't want them to hear the noise and have enough notice to run away. It worked. Now I don't even need to use it. They are already coming over a lot less, and if they see me at the window, they run. They know I can now reach them from 25ft away so even if they run fast I just aimed out if front of them and it worked like a charm. Cats sure hate getting squirted. 5Perfect for a bunch of kidsI bought eight of these for me nephews to run around Camp Perry with. They loved em. The range is fine, and the battery power is nice because everyone had fun with them, from the three year old to the ten year olds, because no one had to have enough upper arm strength to pump them up, which has been a problem for the littler ones in the past. By the end of the weekend, the older kids had taped LED flashlights to the tops of them and were running around squirting random family members at night, it was a ton of fun. Even some of the adults stole them at one point. If you need something simple and fun that anyone can play with, get a bunch of these and some rechargeable batteries. Oh , and through hours of play and multiple users the batteries lasted through all 4 days, I'm not sure when they ran out. 4Amazing gun! This is a really good water gun, and we'll worth the price. We love it at my house, we bought two. It shoots about 15 feet, 25 if you aim up and let the stream "fall" down on your opponent. The clip size is pretty good, it runs out at about 50 seconds of nonstop fire. If you are a hardcore water gun fighter, then you might want to buy extra clips, but you can have a fun water fight with just one. The gun doesn't leak at all, and can take a beating. The batteries last for about 3 months of weekly water fights (2 AA). My only complaint is that there is no stock. There's a place where you can attach one, but the stock itself isn't included. BTW the gun is trigger action, so it's good for toddlers who have trouble with pump ones. 5nice rangeUse it to blast the squirrels off my bird feeders. This shoots pretty far. I took the screen off my office window and take down a squirrel two or three times a day. So much fun. 5Doesn't Squirt Nearly As Far As Advertised! For a very impressive-looking toy the performance though falls way short. Even with a full battery charge this bareless squirts out further than 8 feet and is nowhere near the 20 plus feet that is advertised. Also the flow is very weak and for my purpose of use to chase away annoying mynahs and crows perched about 10-15 feet away on my roof this is a big and expensive bust. Frankly I'm not surprised this is discontinued because even in the pool I can't see any child getting excited about this. Also this requires 4 fully-charged AA batteries and as pretty heavy to hold in one hand for a child.Overall a disappointing purchase. 2Great water gun for younger kidsIf you're looking for a great water gun for younger kids the Thunderstorm is worth the money.I bought one for me and two for my kids (aged 2 and 4) and they love them. They are still too little for the pump action water guns. I would recommend you purchase extra clips as they do run out fast if your kids have heavy trigger fingers. I purchased extra clips at Target for about 3 dollars. I fill a bucket up with water and my 4 year old has no trouble removing the clips from the gun and filling them up.The water stream is just fine for younger kids. While the gun does not shoot 25 feet as advertised, they do shoot a constant stream around 15 feet. However my 2 and 4 year old have never complained about the water not shooting far enough.I've had no issues with this gun leaking water from the barrel when pointed at the ground. My kids have also dropped these guns numerous times on the cement deck and I've had no issues with them not working properly. So far they have been very durable. The guns may look a little large but my 2 year old has no trouble holding it and operating it. The weight is balanced well.Bottom line. If you want a nice cheap...(12 bucks is not bad) water gun for younger kids this fits the bill. The older kids may want to stick to pump action if they're looking for more soaking action and greater distance.Don't forget to pick one up for yourself so you can defend yourself when the kids began their assault. :>) 4
