Fun for extending dinner conversation with kidsWe do a few questions each night after dinner with our 13yo and 12yo. They seem to enjoy it, not rushing to get up from the table as quickly as they used to do. It is a fun way to find out different things about each other. (We also tried the What Would You Do box, which says for 12yo and up, but found this box better for our age kids.) 5Great for cooperative teensPart of the reason I bought this was to generate conversation around the dinner table. We have six kids total, four of them teenagers. Sometimes trying to get a word in edgewise at our very lively dinner table is difficult! My intent with this product was to give the kids something to talk about other than getting one words answers to the standard, "How was your day?" type questions. So far the topics are met mostly with eye rolls and comments of, "Dad, really? Do we have to do this???" I do believe they'll come around over time. Some of the topics are interesting and I can see where they'll generate some interesting responses once the kids decide to participate actively instead of pushing back. Three stars because for the price I'm not sure this item is a great value - maybe I'll change my mind over time. You could generate conversation yourself if you could hit on those things the teens want to talk about - this item already has those topics included. 3enjoy interesting family discussions in a fun lighthearted approach. My kids love it and it gets us all communicating.My family thoroughly enjoys the table topics. It is a great way for us to touch base and learn about each other. It is sort of like a game for us and my kids look forward to sharing table topic time with us. It is even fun for just hanging out with friends. It is easy and can be as quick or long as you desire. 5Though-provoking questions!Great questions for professionals working with older kids - many of them about future plans, current goals or impacts. Some of them are simply about preferences and choices (favorite pizza toppings, best thing about my family, worst thing I ever said to a friend, etc). I filtered out a handful because they addressed sensitive topics I d rather approach more carefully: astrological signs, dating/kissing, tattoos, divorce. 5Three StarsIt's good, but some of the teen questions are a little cheesy. I like the Family Edition better. 3A good purchase to make meal times more interestingMy 15 and 12 year-old daughters, who both do well academically and socially, love the Tabletopics for Family and Teen during meal times. It gives them the chance to "toot their horn" about their opinions on numerous topics. And some of their answers are hilarious and discuss some of the questions at school. Either Tabletopics would be good for my family but I chose both to get a mix of questions. But they reacted to the questions and we had conversation. Not necessarily on topic with the card, but I don't care. I gave this to my Daughter and her family as a gift and they thoroughly enjoy the questions and interaction. 5Just soso, 60% usable, other 40% odd, expensive and out of dateThis company lacks vision and creativity. The 50% of the cards are mundane and boring. And with other decks overlap way too many questions. I think I bought 15 decks, and I am really disappointed. The price is way too high, the decks are heavy and the acrylic case will crack very easily. As a matter of fact 80% of the decks were already cracked when I received the products over two different orders.I think the cards are useful, but the price/performance ratio is not that great. The price should be reduced and the company should think outside of their box. 3Great questions!Love these. The questions are great as is the quality of the box and cards. I ve been using them in my classroom and the kids like them! It s nice for high schoolers to put down the phone and actually have conversations. 5
