I guess I've become spoiled by how good most models these days are. 4Five StarsGreat model, worked on 2 of them at the same time. 5Awesome kit that builds itself.This is a plastic model kit of the German WWII tank destroyer - Hetzer in 1:35 scale. The Hetzer was intended as a "stop-gap" solution until bigger and better tank destroyers could be built but, due to its cheap and quick production, it served until the end of the war on all battle fronts. Unfortunately for the crews, the interior was quite cramped!Kit was just awesome to build - had NO problems with kit anywhere on this kit. Upper/lower hull melded together superbly and no gaps. Running gear easily assembled. Main gun had no problems what so ever. There is 1 crew figure provided standing in a relaxed pose. Track shoes are single piece with great detail on both sides. Actual vehicle was short, squat, and not much detail, so do not expect stuff that you would see on larger vehicles, this kit represents the barrenness of the actual vehicle quite well.Instructions were easy to follow. Instructions also provided a brief history of vehicle and provided suggested paint schemes and decal placement. Also, there was an actual color paint guide provided as well.Overall, quick build for parts count is surprisingly low for a "modern" kit - could of had this completely built (- painting) in about 3 hours it was manufactured that well. Younger persons would have no problems putting this kit together. Remember that this is a plastic model kit and construction is required.
