Customer Reviews

Five StarsMight have been my all-time most enjoyable AFV model to build. 5The Stug III is my favorite so farThe Stug III is my favorite so far. I used the most appropriate decals , paint and wash to give it a realistic appearance. The dog and 2 crew members are a good addition also. 5get out your tools and paint!Hello, this kits does have some updates since the first release in the 70's. New tooling and figures that i havent seen. But may be sold indiviually. I like that i have figures that depict a non combat pose. Tracks are better detailed. Added decals are a plus. A nice addition to my tank collection. 4good medium complexity modelthis isnt the most detailed model of the Stug III but this has great exterior details and is fun to put together with little frustration 5Tamiya Model -Stug IIIStug IIIs are the best. Great model with nice details. Fun model to build too. 5this was fun to put togetherlooks great and the detail looks fantastic 5This is a great Tamiya kitThis is a great Tamiya kit, representing one of the most heavily produced German armored fighting vehicles of World War II, based upon the chassis of the Panzer III. The kit fit together well, and features two crew members, one of whom is holding a puppy. Putting together the kit, I included the optional Schurtzen, and the kit looks great. Camouflaging German armor is fun, as you can represent different time periods with it, depending upon the pattern you choose to use. I highly recommend this kit to anyone interested in WWII armor. 5Great detail, perfect fit togetherGreat detail, perfect fit together. 5A kit with limitless possibilities..I purchased this kit in 2017 and even though I built it immediately upon receipt, I was dissatisfied with the "Summer" scheme that I applied. The main reason is that this was the last kit I purchased prior to my long overdue transition to airbrushing. Therefore, my Summer camouflage had that "thick" appearance that is unavoidable when using paint brushes. By the time I received my airbrush/compressor combination, I decided to go back and re-do some of my previously completed model kits, but I had to go with a "Winter" scheme, along with ample use of the hairbrush technique", to hide the terrible flaws of my initial rendering. In terms of the kit itself, it's an easy 5-Star Mark as I give equal weight to price, detail, part fit, flash, ease of instructions, etc. There were no fit or construction issues that I can recall and the tracks, albeit vinyl, are detailed and absorb paint, etc. well. Since the Stug III was historically an all-purpose godsend to the German infantry, I loaded the rear area with numerous bits of equipment which was a very common sight during that time. The crew members are of decent quality, but since I ended up going with a "Winter" theme, those figures will eventually find their way to a Stug IV kit which I plan to "re-do" in the near future. Utube offers numerous excellent "how to" video's for armour modeling - Andy's Hobby HQ and PanzerMeister36 are both great resources.Bottom Line - I am very likely to re-purchase this kit at some point down the road as I want to have another go at the Summer (Battle of Kursk) option. 5A good kit of an underappreciated vehicle.Classic Tamiya tank model. No interior, but not much would be visible anyway. Two gun options, so I may need to get a second kit to build both!Has decals for three vehicles, two with 75mm gun and one with 105mm gun. Two figures, a commander and a gunner holding a puppy.Flexible vinyl tracks. Not their newest or best detailed kit by Tamiya, but still holds up well. I like it.Before the Germans fielded larger tanks, these Stug III and Stug IV assault guns served as effective tank destroyers. 5
