Customer Reviews

Keeps Everything NeatI really like Broken Token items. This organizer box makes everything so much easier. I love the removable energy token box. My wife loves to make sure things are organized in the games, so she adores these products. 5Very neat and organizedFirst off, these organizers are amazing for board games. To keep all your tokens, a few expansions in one box. Cutting down on the need to keep so many components in different boxes. The downside is it does make your box heavier due to the material. Another thing you need to be careful about is the components. As work can splinter and crack if you do not remove the individual pieces correctly from their frame. Some pieces also might not fit exactly and will require some sanding or filing. If you understand this going in you will not be disappointed. 5I had been looking for something like this ever since I got my expansions for King ...I had been looking for something like this ever since I got my expansions for King of Tokyo. It gets to be a pain to have to unpack and re-pack 3 different boxes to enjoy the game at its full potential. The organizer from Broken Token solves this problem.Note: You do have to assemble this organizer. The instructions are very simple to follow. I just needed a hobby knife, small rubber mallet and a little bit of glue to complete this. The last piece is a little tricky and it'll take some finesse to get in the original box, but I promise it'll be worth it.This organizer fits very snug in the original box. All of your game pieces, even if you have the Power Up and Halloween expansions, now fit with room to spare. Not to mention, this organizer looks great too! Can't say enough good things about this product. Highly recommend! 5Exceptional Product!Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the product. Assembly was easy enough, the most you really need is a hammer, a flat-head screwdriver, a sturdy flat surface, and maybe some wood glue (it recommends wood glue at all the joints, but it was such a snug fit once assembled that it almost seems nonessential). I have the first edition of King of Tokyo with Power-Ups and Halloween expansions. All my dice, tokens, and sleeved cards fit with absolutely no problem. This is the level of craftsmanship and product that any company should aspire to produce. 5Organize Your MonstersIf you love King of Tokyo and have the two expansions, you want this! The core game and the expansions now fit all in the original game's box nicely without your pieces sliding and banging around. In particular, the compartment for the monsters themselves is roomy enough that you don't have to remove the plastic stands. The balsa wood for this box is sturdy and, once constructed, is incredibly stable. I didn't use any glue, just a few small pieces of tape as the instructions suggest, and I'm pretty sure this thing isn't going anywhere. Just a small word of warning, there's an error in the image showing the construction of the removable tray. The piece with the round divot goes at the top, not in the middle. Just look at the product image and you'll see how it should go.I love this organizer, the one for Dead of Winter is good as well. If I get another game with a lot of little bits and dice and tokens, I'm looking to the Broken Token to see if they have an organizer. And as for a request? Ghost Stories. 5LOVEThe King of Tokyo box is just not meant to hold all of the add-ons you can buy for it, which is a shame because it leaves you toting pieces around in lots of separate boxes. The Broken Token organizer fixes that issue while still keeping everything nicely organized. This was easy to put together (even kind of fun!) and it makes for an intuitively organized box that allows for easy separation of the base game and newer pieces. 5Some Tips & Tricks - Installed for 2nd Edition KOT.I currently use this to store my 2nd Edition, King of Toyko along with the Power Up, and 3 Individual Expansions. What I didn't like was to have to break the wooden pieces from the the cut outs as they would end up being slightly splintered or having some small bits jut out. I needed an Xacto blade and some sandpaper to correct those. Also, as it is cut out from wood, some of the pieces would not exactly snap into place and would require a mallet to force into place. What I did like was that a video link was included with the instructions and made assembly much much easier. The tools that the person used in the video were also the Xacto, mallet and glue, reinforcing the need for these items. Some problems / tricks I ran into:The way the pieces fit are shown as follows: 1) There will be some pieces that are higher and lower on the sides. You want the lowered side pieces on the left side so that your game board can fit into this portion of the box. You will know that the pieces are correct because the card holder diagonal pieces will be lined up. If you have it wrong, you will have an uneven number of diagonal sides for each side. At first, I thought I had the same piece as the video but after incorrect assembly, I had to carefully yank apart my slightly glued side pieces to correct this.2) The place where the monster character cards sit (the ones with the dials) really has a tight fit for the pieces. The little side cut out will allow you to grab some of the character cards but not all. I remedied this by placing the plastic ribbon that held these cards originally around the sides so I could pull out all of them without having to dig or peel at them from the corners. I may install a permanent cloth ribbon (attaching to the bottom beam) to fully remedy this.3) I used Gorilla wood glue ($2). I would HIGHLY recommend that you use a glue as when the entire thing dries out and cures, it makes a world of a difference in terms of how rigid and strong the structure is. 4Excellent insertThis is a fantastic insert for King of Tokyo, and I was able to fit all of the base components, the Power Up expansion, Cthulu monster pack, King Kong monster pack, Halloween expansion, and all 6 monsters/boards from the 1st edition - with a little more room for another monster pack or 2. The organizer snaps together fairly easily and is very sturdy. I highly recommend this! 5This is very nice. I had a hard time figuring out the ...This is very nice. I had a hard time figuring out the material of this before I bought it. It is made of wood, which makes for a solid organizer. The majority of the organizer is pressed together and fits together very well. Once it's in the box its very stable and doesn't require any glue. There is a small removable box for the energy cubes and cardboard tokens. That did fit together very tightly, but I glued it just for some added security. It ships in a flat pack, requiring you to pop it out from some excess material and assemble it. It was a little tricky to get the last large piece to fit as it needs to connect to 5 different pieces. But now, everything including both expansion sets fit inside the original box with plenty of room to spare. Two more very subtle features: Where the monster boards (the ones with your score and health on it) go there is a piece of wood across the bottom so you push down on one side to get them out of the box. Also, there is a slight relief on the top edges to accommodate the game board. Extremely well thought out. 5Excellent, but Cthulhu requires some adaptationLovely product. I totally messed up six times getting pieces in the right orientation and everything came out fine. The instructions suggest wood glue on all joints. In the box, it is sturdy without -- except for the removable tray. You're going to want to use wood glue or tape on that. Has no problem with King of Tokyo plus all current expansions. The only warning is that there's no specific room left for the extra circular counters or new tokens included with the Cthulhu expansion. It would be cool if they could update this to specifically account for that, but it's not a killer, because those extras fit in the main compartment just fine. I put them in a small bag. By my count, there's still room for 2 more character wheel boards in the existing spot, though you can probably fit 4 or 5 more total using the adjacent compartment. Basically, this upgrade creates A TON of space in your existing King of Tokyo box. 5
