Customer Reviews

My husband found it and remembered that he had a game exactly like it in the late 80's/early 90's that he lovedOrdered this game for my 5 year old nephew. My husband found it and remembered that he had a game exactly like it in the late 80's/early 90's that he loved. This new iteration is pretty awesome too. My nephew plays with it all the time. It is a great game to play alone, or against someone else. Lots of problem solving and imagination required. Definitely a good purchase! 5This is not the childhood game of yore.I have the original Run Yourself Ragged game which I got back when I was a child. It has stood the test of time through multiple Christmas tournaments and hard use of kids for nearly 40 years. This cheap knock off has been nothing but frustration. The hoop and clock do not seat properly, the controls on the maze stick/jam and the maze itself has to be adjusted regularly as it gets offset so you can't get the ball to the airplane. When the ball is on the airplane it will no longer rotate and finally when you get the catapult you literally have to launch it through the air as the arm doesn't travel through the arc with the ball. What this game does demonstrate is the stark contrast of quality between the game from the 70's and what they produce now. 1and one day I suddenly found myself remembering this awesome game, and I hadn't a clue what it ...I remember this game from my youth, although I had the green/brown/orange version that was called Run Yourself Ragged. I had mastered the game as a kid, but of course, over the years it was eventually relegated to yard sale fodder. Now, I have four of my own kids, and one day I suddenly found myself remembering this awesome game, and I hadn't a clue what it was called. I did an image search for "marble maze game" to see if something would come up, and whattaya know, here is the Screwball Scramble. I bought it, and it shipped just in time for a day off from school due to a snowpacalypse.I am having a great time redeveloping my skills at each of the obstacles, and the blind maze part, as well as the hopping ball part is super fun. My kids are into it, as well. I'm glad I was able to find it so I can share it with them. It's great for a rainy (or snowy) day and the timer adds a bit of challenge between family members, if you'd like. I love this mostly for its nostalgia, but according to my kids' reaction, it is just cool all around. Gotta go...it's my turn! :) 5Recommended by my 9 year old son's counselor who is helping him with patience & anger.Recommended by my son's counselor who is helping him with patience & anger. This is a great toy that he can play by himself or with someone. I recommend. 5Love this gameI searched for this game for years. I played it once in a friend s playroom on a rainy day when I was little, but never knew the name. This game did not disappoint. The mechanisms work great. The ball does sometimes get stuck amid the obstacles, but that s an easy fix. The timer is so agitating. I never use. This game has definitely been a hit with friends.NoteThis review applies to adults only. There are no children about to give an opinion. 5Still as EPIC as and almost identical to the version I owned in the 90's!!!Still as EPIC as and almost identical to the version I owned in the 90's!!! I bought this for my 10-year-old as an xmas present and we ended up having a challenge on xmas day - it was the best family activity as everyone was involved and laughing. My 60-year-old Mother in law, my husband and I were probably the most competitive but my 18, 16 and 10-year-old sons were taking it pretty seriously too. Even my 2 year old (though not trusted with the ball bearing) was yelling at the timer. This is a great game for all ages and is a challenge that can be easily mastered but just as easily unmastered for lots of fun!! 5Awesome FunGrew up playing "Run yourself Ragged". Attempted to find RYR years later, to purchase for my niece, and found the game was renamed as "Snafu". Attempted to re-find this game for my daughter and found it's again renamed - now known as "Screwball Scramble".We played side by side over the holidays with Snafu and Screwball Scramble. Game play was nearly identical. Great fun for all ages. 5Unplayable - Lousy ConstructionI m a therapist & ordered this to play with middle-school and high-school pediatric clients with mild to moderate special needs. Thank goodness I tried it out at home to see it s suitability. It s poorly constructed and poorly designed. It does not work as advertised in the video & it s because of the design, not user error (which I d shamelessly admit, but it wasn t the case here). After 15 minutes of (gently) playing with it, one of the knobs broke & it could no longer rotate the part it was supposed to. Do not even bother with this!!! 1Old School Fun Obstacle Course GameSimple obstacle course, made mostly out of plastic. Each obstacle's fun & challenging, even for adults. We certainly got our money's worth. Only downside I could think of is that it's a one player game & you have to take turns.I couldn't beat it when I was a kid, so it was extra satisfying for me personally to complete it. lol 5Fun for ages 6-12I go this for my 6yo for his birthday and it was a challenge for him at first, but he quickly figured out how to do it and really enjoyed it. It takes a certain amount of fine motor skills and control, a great skill to practice. It comes with 2 steel balls that you have to maneuver through a maze - sometimes by turning something, or sometimes by tilting a platform around. His 9yo sister and even the 12yo big brother really enjoy it too. (The packaging is pretty dumb, and makes it look more babyish than it is.) Be careful not to lose the balls, if the ball is the wrong size it won't work. 5
