    Had much higher hopes and expectations for this.Thought this would be fun for my kids (and get them away from a screen) as I had a similar toy growing up that I LOVED! This comes with 80 pieces, YAY, right? Don't you worry... 30 of them are little 1/2 cent plastic balls! All the other pieces are made of extremely poor-quality plastics. Feel like they're going to break every time I put two pieces together. Nothing like the quality of product I had growing up. Had much higher hopes and expectations for this. Don't see this product lasting long because of the poor quality. 2Great for any child fascinated with marblesI'm surprised this didn't get better ratings.I've read a good portion of the reviews before buying and wasn't impressed, but decided to buy it anyway since it was priced goodWell I'm glad we got it!My son loves it and I do too it's very similar to the one I had as a child.It took awhile to set up as the instructions even though they are simple to follow it gets a little complicated building it to make sure that all the marbles go down every tubeMy child is 6 yrs old and can easily put the pieces together himself the way he wants to make it, as far as creating the true picture on box he needed an adult to helpThe pieces are a tad harder to put together you just need to snap them in place and they stay put no falling apart, my child has not had any issues assembling the piecesAfter its assembled it stands on its own and is pretty sturdy and won't tip while they are playingOne thing that is a bummer is you can't use regular marbles as they get stuck in the holesI mean you can play with the regular marbles on some of it, but best play is with the plastic marbles that are included.My child loves playing with marbles and so this playset has been a big hit! Even the older kids like it :)Would recommend this marble set for any child 5 and upI rated it 4* due to the fact at times the pieces are hard to unattached at times and wish you could use the glass marbles with it, other than that it's a fun set and totally worth it for the price being under $10 4good customer service not so hot productGreat customer service, however the item broke, had them send a replacement and it promptly broke again, 4.5 yr old twins broke fast, parts would not stay connected thus making it hard for me to say id ever buy it again, i actually tried to super glue the replacement item with spare parts from first one, to help it stay together so the ends would not come apart so easily but alas, the caps broke, the plastic was not thick enough and well, it went in trash.......sad, as the kids liked it, but customer service was great. 1small and kinda crappy but the marble fit our other marble runI should have listened to the reviews. I actually bought this because our other marble run's marbles have all gotten lost so it was either pay $7 for a bunch of glass marbles that I'm not sure will work, or buy a whole 'nother set for $14 with more pieces to expand his current set and 30 new marbles. This set is way smaller than our other set. I thought it was the same brand but it's totally not so the pieces aren't compatible (I'm pretty sure our older one was Imaginarium). The Toysmith set also does not work very smoothly when it's set up, often they don't slope right or the marble gets stuck which really pisses off my son who has autism and his marble run is his favorite toy. He was super excited to get it, but now he keeps yelling at it out of frustration. However the new marbles do work with my son's larger marble run, so I will probably hide the new one's pieces and just keep the marbles to use with his older set. 2Great for the priceI got this to use with my 1 year old son. He loves it. The plastic is not the sturdiest type, so the pieces are brittle. That being said, I m using it with my son, so it s holding up fine. It uses water too. The marbles are small, but just keep an eye on them going into mouths and it s fine. 4Fun toy but not appropriate for preschool age children due to difficulty of assemblyWhen I ordered this activity, it says three years up. I am a preschool teacher and this requires an engineers mind and the patience of Jobe to assemble.It is cool once it's built, but I would say it is probably really for about 8 up. Many small marbles included which are nice, but could be a choking hazard to small child. I bought a heavier duty one a for about half the price at Target a few years ago and it is very popular, so I thought I would get something similar so the children didn't have to wait to use the first set. Now I spend my afternoons building this for them because it is so complicated and frustrating for them to put together., I had to color code the assembly page with the colors of the pieces of the box so they could look at the picture and TRY to build it like the one on the box. It mostly just helps me build it for them. If you had a place to leave it set up, it is neat to watch and play with, but it is NOT very sturdy and will fall apart easily if not handled very carefully, which isn't a realistic expectation for a child. 4Quantity, NOT Quality!Thin plastic material that seem like they will break the more it is used. The marbles are not really marbles but more like colored plastic balls. The pieces don't come assembled (meaning you have to build the individual pieces before you start constructing the tower).I owned a set like this when I was 5 years old (now 37) and still own it. This set is far less superior and I know that my son who is five, won't still have this set when he's 37.I give it 3 stars for the quantity of pieces (much more than the other companies offer). The price was substantially lower than others, which explains the lack of quality). The colors used and nice and vibrant.I would not recommend this set. Spend the extra few dollars and get a better quality item. 3And the balls are very light so they would fly off the track easily. My son enjoyed sending the marbles down the ...Was kinda difficult to follow the directions to build it. My child wouldn't be able to do it on his own. I was very disappointed when I finally got it put together. The pieces do not fit together as well as they should and the marbles do not always complete the run, some just sliding off onto the floor. Also, you can not move the game once it is put together. You barely touch it and it completely falls apart! A very chintzy item and am extremely disappointed with this purchase. I wish I had read the most negative reviews before purchasing this pile of junk. The negative reviews are the most accurate! 2Great by itself, buy 2.I bought the smaller set and the larger one and was disappointed that they don't go together. The kids love the toys and play with them a lot. Each set individually I would give a 5... But bc if my experience trying to mix and match, I was not totally thrilled. 4
